There is meaning behind all of my artistic excursions. A personal outcry instigated by a constant need to express my daily life intakes. However, there are times where my rhythm and tone are called upon to align with a profound purpose. This project Progressive Roots Evolution, A song for Healing, was initiated by observing comrades in our immediate music circle, developing and thus dedicating their platform in support of the dancer community and producers.
What you will soon hold in your hands is a music story which demonstrates what manifests when energies dedicated to the art and support of the dancer and sound elevation align.

SORA will focus on the likes of deeper, electronic, soundscape compositions; Think more in genres of Joaquin's' widely acclaimed, but now paused Natural Resource, which is the sister label to Spiritual Life Music from back in the mid-nineties to early 2000's.

Subtle Light provides some organic deepness of which leans more so towards Joaquin's traditional afro Latin influences infused with what we like to call Cosmic Art Trance Music. It is spiritual dance music that up lifting and as usual unique in presentation.

Peekaboo Is see You is a deep tech composition that Joaquin has been playing out for quite some time now. Exposed to enthusiastic audiences across the globe, it is a deep bass tech track that is in high demand. We are very excited that finally it will finally see the light of day, all the while spinning on countless turntables globally. More

Joaquin Joe Claussell readies the ‘Raw Tones’ LP on Rekids this June.

The first LP since 2008’s ‘Corresponding Echoes’ on his Sacred Rhythm Music, Joaquin Joe Claussell arrives on Radio Slave’s Rekids for ‘Raw Tones’, a nine-track excursion through the sound of his exquisitely soulful house music.

Originally released on uber limited cassettes, the music within ‘Raw Tones’ caught the ear of Radio Slave, aka Matt Edwards, who messaged Claussell, a friend since remixing Edwards’ Machine project in 2012, and convinced the legendary producer that the music needed a wider audience and, so, ‘Raw Tones’ the LP is here.

Introspective opening cut ‘Lock Down’ draws for breathy strings and swirling pads, followed by the hypnotic and low-slung ‘The Blame Game (Table Top Idea)’, which sees jazzy keys float around carefully crafted dubbed-out ambience and subtle, whispered vocals.

‘Break Free’ ups the energy, bringing a wonky bassline under decisive, machine-like drum hits while both spoken and sung vocals interplay throughout. ‘You Mutha Fuka’ brings rock-solid drums and thick bass underneath delayed vocals before the dreamy chords and twinkling keys of ‘Way Back Then’ close out the B-side.

The gorgeous ‘Air We Breathe (Revisited Cassette Demo)’ marries rolling percussion across live bass and softly drawn-out pads, followed by an instrumental version of ‘Break Free’. The final side of vinyl sees the extended trippiness of ‘If It's All In Your Mind Let It Out’ lead into the floaty low tempo closer ‘Hallucinations Ejaculations’.

Joaquin Joe Claussell, co-founder of Body & Soul with Francois Kervorkian and Danny Krivit, continues to run his Sacred Rhythm Music record label and curate the Cosmic Arts community centre in his hometown of Brooklyn, NYC.

Originally released on CD with what began as a story told by a foreigner of
how the discovery of music while living in New York has provided her with a
sense of purpose and freedom that was before then unknown to her; The
composition featuring the very talented “Yumi Korusawa” on Japanese
Koto, and tilted “It All Began in The East” - originally released as cosmic
journey into the mind and soul; received the remix treatment by Joaquin Joe
Claussell.
The results are an up tempo afro jazz composition that aside from it resting
on the support of afro percussive rhythms; musically speaking, the
composition is elevated by a dope musical orchestration that is expected of
Joe Claussell deliver. Also included on the 12” ep is another hot
composition remixed by Joaquin’ Remix of the titled “A Dance for
Gratitude.” A dope remix that resembles Joaquin’s Cult Classic afro jam “Je
Ka Jo.” All in all, this is defifinitely a 12” EP that will be played for a very long

Due to the unfortunate and dangerous constant overlooking the special gift bestowed upon all of us by the higher power, it calls upon us to continue forward with our mission for productive change which has become ever more crucial to reach. What we're referring to isn't exactly in plain sight for all to see, but obvious enough to those who care to pay attention. However, what has become undeniably apparent to us; is the powerful moving vibration that emits from sound and art and how we connect with them. It is a higher calling that cannot be neither denied nor questioned, and we can only praise the wisdom, truth and love that they bestow upon us. After a long hiatus partly initiated by our re-energizing from an incredibly hectic season, always with love and rhythm; Sacred Rhythm & Cosmic Arts are back; We are so excited about what's coming in the nearest future and onward. All praises go to our associations, partner Labels, our growing connection with our family of music creators and distributors, and of course; our unwavering love and appreciation with and for all of you our supporters, for whom we would not have made it this far without. That said, we are thrilled to announce this first release to kick off our upcoming season. We proudly present The Reflections EP by Artist / DJ Roi Azulay. The Reflection EP is the third release on Sacred Rhythm by Roi Azulay. On this EP Roi chose to illuminate a deeper almost acoustic side of his multi-dimensional production outputs. Following the huge success of the Somi Afrikan Lady 12inch
SRM 246 that was released way back in 2008. Since that time
there’s been a huge demand for Sacred Rhythm to release the
alternative mixes that Joaquin Joe Claussell and an exclusive few
of his DJ Prominent DJ friends have been championing. Giving
in to the pressure, we decided to press the unreleased mixes on 7”
Vinyl.
The A Side features the same intensity that is similar to how it is
on the previously 12Inch release, but with its own unique vibe.
While the B side offers a completely different approach hence
leaning more towards the side of, what Joaquin like to call,” a
freaky dub exploration of rhythm and drums.” The 7” will be
pressed on Special Colored Vinyl.
All in all, this is a dope seven inch of Afrocentric grooves and
Dope musicianship that, no less than its predecessor, aims to
