Swedish DJ Adeline lands on Crosstown Rebels with You*re Sick, a diverse four track release that features a stunning remix from Rex Club regular D’Julz. The EP opens with the title track You*re Sick. Pronounced kicks merge with subtle pads, as an enchanting vocal sample whispers along. Bubble-like pops are brought in alongside intermittent hi-hats, creating a real dance-floor ready record. The D’Julz dub comes next. Staying true to the original, the addition of an electro-like breakdown builds energy, before that addictively-good kick is brought back in. Dust To Bone is a fast-paced minimal thumper, that takes no prisoners as it moves along with a wholesome bassline and softly driving percussion, before Rite De Passage rounds off the EP with powerful pads and warm keys. Brought up in the rolling Swedish countryside, Adeline is a DJ, producer and vocalist whose talents reach far further than the DJ booth. Having founded electronic music duo Housewives with La Fleur in 2006, Adeline has gone on to release standout productions on the likes of Culprit and Kindisch Records. D’Julz is an artist whose presence in the scene has been felt for decades. For twenty two years, the French native has been running the now legendary “Bass Culture” night at Rex Club, and has hosted some of the scenes most respected DJs in recent times, including Seth Troxler, Sonja Moonear and Nicolas Lutz.

Culprit makes a fourth stop on its European talent-scouting trip, inviting the London- based Swedish producer Adeline to join the label’s global motley crew.
Adeline’s confident use of her own voice as a major part of her music is a bold but justified choice. Combining it with truly impressive sound design and strong musical ideas, with a touch of the unexpected, adds up to instantly memorably dance music. The three originals on her Culprit debut speak to all these strengths. ‘What You Got’ is that appealing combination of sensuously soft vocals and “muscular” rhythm and low end that many a standout track is made of. The most immediate of the songs on the EP, it has had early champions like Jamie Jones and Russ Yallop. ‘Under The Moon’ goes deeper and a bit sideways, but successfully so, pitching down her distinct vocal and riding a catchy bassline hook on top of a shuffle beat, the song glides and seduces. ‘Unravel My Mind’ is the darker counter-part to the title song. Adeline’s vocals add on a moody dimension, sitting on top of a more sinister bassline and a crisp beat. With its tension and build, one for the early peak hours. The remix by New York-based Thugfucker and Greg Paulus of No Regular Play is a real musical treat. Also making their label debut, the trio come up with a deeply melodic take on ‘Under the Moon.’ Its instrumental sweeps and playful bassline, cleverly arranged and punctuated by some of Paulus’ most accomplished trumpet work add up to something special.

JKriv returns to home base Razor-N-Tape with the Intuition EP, a strong statement of how far his sound has traveled in the 2+ years since his last artist release on the label.

Blueprint, a driving club burner rooted on an unrelenting bass line, builds slowly through conversational synth elements until it opens up into a soulful vocal loop that explodes in a euphoric peak. The title track of the EP is a dubby slow roller that was equal parts inspired by 90s Ryuichi Sakamoto records and modern G-funk. Over its lithe piano, hooky vocoder melodies, and rolling bass, Megatronic delivers a melancholic message of relationship loss and renewal, and coda vocals are added by J himself.

Zone 1, an ode to David Morales’ amazing Red Zone 90s remix catalog, drives hard with insistent analog drums and absolutely filthy bass beneath a pillowy layer of lush and acidic synth elements. Wearing the influence of J’s favorite producer Larry Heard proudly on its sleeve, Paula’s Dance is a symphony of intertwining analog gear, with a mysterious and gorgeous vocal by Mexican singer Pahua.

Completed while JKriv was undergoing treatment for lymphoma in the latter part of 2024, this record is both deeply personal and a triumphant statement of determination under adversity. The beautiful cover artwork by The Myno captures both the vulnerability and focus that defined the period in which J made this music.

Fresh off a trip to the watercooler, London’s Clive From Accounts is circling back with his most expansive offering to date, the full length LP 'The Very Best Of Clive From Accounts.' Bicoastal disco aficionado, Super Elevation label/shop owner, and all-around legend of the scene, Tom Noble brings forth a sprawling project 15 years in the making with his House of Spirits full length LP on Razor-N-Tape.

Slow-cooked over more than a decade, the eight tracks that stretch across this double 12 inch pack are the realization of Tom’s unique vision of modern dancefloor soul, with lush live instrumentation and deviously catchy hooks. Boasting a near encyclopedic knowledge of decades of club music, Tom draws on influences like Patrick Adams & the Mizell Brothers to build a sound that’s both reverent to the past, but feels extremely fresh and immediately timeless.

UK-born, Lisbon-based DJ, Producer, Songwriter, and activist Megatronic joins the RNT roster with her ‘Do I Belong To You?’ EP, a bold statement of her soulful and visionary sound. Magic Words, a new project from NY-based producers Eli Cohen and Peter Hargarten, make their debut on RNT with the Wabi Soba EP, a perfect summertime record. If the title track sounds a bit familiar it’s because it’s been in Harvey’s hands for a while and has made many appearances in his sets around the world. Based around an emotive and dreamy loop, the song basically embodies Balearica, dripping with Spanish guitar and wistful, melancholic harmonies. Toronto’s Jex Opolis turns in a massive remix that preserves all the delicate texture of the origi-nal and lays it lovingly over a pulsing clubby drum foundation. New Zealand disco-boogie outfit Flamingo Pier plant some Brooklyn roots with their fresh new ‘Beneath the Neon EP’ on Razor-N-Tape. Known for parties in East London and their massive hometown festival, as well as previous releases on Soundway, the Kiwi collective deliver a trio of new songs that solidify and expand their signature danceable blue-eyed indie-soul sound.

Lead off single 'How 2 Feel' shows a clubbier side of the band, with a pulsating house rhythm track and layers of angular synth stabs, vibey horn lines, and vocal chants. 'Beneath the Neon' and 'Remedy' are more familiar Flamingo Pier territory, upbeat indie disco anthems that boast incendiary vocal hooks, funky guitar work, and crisp production by Luke Walker.

Rounding out the EP are remixes by Chicago house legend Glenn Underground, and RNT co-head JKriv, whose mix features a guest appearance by Afro-boogie royalty Steve Monite.
