The newly remastered Terminator EP by Goldie's Rufige Kru alias is here. Originally released in 1992, Terminator is widely regarded as one of the most influential tracks in jungle and drum and bass history. Sitting at a pivotal moment in the genre's evolution, the EP marked the beginning of a journey for both Goldie and Metalheadz that is still going strong today. Meticulously restored from the original DAT tapes, this remastered edition brings renewed clarity and low-end weight to a seminal release. The EP's groundbreaking experiments in timestretching and cinematic atmospheres remain as impactful as ever, a reminder of why it inspired an entire generation of producers. Releasing on 2x 12" 180g vinyl with a full artwork sleeve on 1st August.

This 12-track album is a celebration of Mako's deep passion for music, while also reflecting his sometimes disillusioned views on a modern era that often seems to pass us by. OVERVIEW:
What started as an experiment, born in the stillness of the early months of 2020, Metalheadz and SB81 are proud to present 'B292'.

The largest body of music ever released by Metalheadz, 'B292' is made up of 29 tracks across 2 defined parts with a strong emphasis on old skool influences. It's SB81's experiences as a youth that give him a real understanding of this era, something that cannot be replicated and where authenticity always stands tall.

Beginning as a small batch of tracks it wasn't long before Goldie encouraged SB81 to explore the idea of an album, and via several trips around Low Hill in Wolverhampton (where SB81 lived until the age of 30), it was here where the nostalgia and drive took hold for good.

SB81 calls this project a 'pre-1994 Metalheadz sound', and although no 29-track album deserves such a brief description it does seem so fitting - even more so with a huge amount of respect and admiration for labels such as Reinforced, Production House and Moving Shadow embodied throughout.

Make no mistake, this is in no way purely an album that tries to recreate the old. The music at its core remains as cutting edge as ever with a fresh on the ears feel and a rave-ready approach.

SB81's 'B292' releases in full on 31st May 2024, including a 4x coloured vinyl package, bespoke full colour sleeve designed by the incredibly talent EPOD and a bonus box set available exclusively via the Metalheadz website and Bandcamp.

Since releasing on Reinforced at the age of 16, Dominic Stanton has always remained one of most influential producers in the west London broken beat scene. Those early adventures via numerous successful aliases laid the foundations for Dom's sound, eventually leading to the launch of 'Sonar's Ghost' in 2013.

Welcoming Sonar's Ghost to Metalheadz is now long overdue, so it's a pleasure to be showcasing 'The Fall and Rise Of...' as part of the Metalheadz Platinum series this July. Asylum aka L Double's 'Da Base II Dark' was originally released in 1995 and retains its status as a certified classic, still appearing in sets almost 3 decades later. Remastered for this mammoth project the single is accompanied by a Stealth remix on the B side, a remix that grew into Stealth's own personal homage to the Metalheadz sound. The outcome is a ravenous twist constructed entirely with the late night dancefloor in mind.

Bristolian Stephen Redmore, known through his drum & bass alias Mako, is finally set to unleash his forthcoming LP on Metalheadz, something which he's been working on behind the scenes for some time. The label head of Utopia is well known for his slick production and penchant for underground anthems, something which has been seen again and again on his own imprint, as well as across a plethora of labels which have acted as pillars for the drum & bass world. Having already made his presence felt before within the catalogue of Metalheadz, as well as Break's Symmetry Recordings, Dispatch, Soul:R and Samurai Music, he's a valuable part of the genre's make up, which is why the announcement of his forthcoming LP ignited widespread anticipation.

Directly translated to 'a body of art', Mako's LP 'Oeuvre' is representative of his life's work in music production. The grinding bassline of 'Life Cycle' alongside the late Andy Skopes, a testament to the legacy he left behind, sets the tone. 'Flip it' has already been doing the club rounds, as the moody Photek atmospherics of 'One Reality' and more affectional twists of 'Holding You' adds to the tracklist's versatility.

'The Scenic Values' underscores Mako's love of Krust and Doc Scott production grooves, whilst the experimental soundscape of 'Hoxton Home' heralds back to old Lemon D. 'Oeuvre' is a walkthrough of Mako's many personalities as a musician and it finds a welcome home within Metalheadz's historic discography.

OVERVIEW: You'd be forgiven for not realising this is Nymfo's first EP for Metalheadz considering he is one of the Netherlands' finest drum and bass exports boasting releases on some of the genre's most revered labels.

Opening with the title track 'Sting Blade', the EP hits hard in true Nymfo fashion, but as he's shown over the last decade and more he is perfectly capable of executing several styles, something exemplified as you journey deeper into the release. OVERVIEW: A first release for Seba & Paradox as a duo on Metalheadz is as special as its billing makes out to be.

Although being situated in Sweden and Lithuania may provide many stumbling blocks, not to mention Paradox's insistence on physical 'in personal' studio sessions, the guys still manage to retain a production line amongst the best in underground jungle.

The impeccable brand new Metalheadz single is a brief excursion from their flourishing joint label venture and kicks off which looks set to be our busiest year ever.
