Chris Carrier’s brings us the latest installment from his ever-trusty Adult Only label, with a firecracker from Julian Alexander, a rudeboy from Holland, Utrecht to be precise. Julian’s close ties with Slapfunk Records, the label that released Carrier’s most recent artist album, make him the perfect candidate to captain this new release, which is full of murky grooves and simmering energy. Across three tracks Julian brings encapsulates that Adult Only flavour, kicking off with ‘Butress Roots’ a bass-heavy roller with an eerie overtone and a minimal make-up – watch out for the extended breakdown, it will send shivers down your spine. Up after that we have ‘XY’ a more up-tempo, bouncing, dance floor destroyer. Major vibes on this one. On the flip ‘Point Of View’ brings the energy down again, with a steady flow, and a slow-building pads together with an indecipherable female vocal clip that adds to the captivating atmosphere. Coming from the darkest depths of the South American jungle but raised in the city of Utrecht in Holland, Julian Alexander is a name that might not have fallen on many ears as yet but we guarantee you'll be hearing a lot of this 18 yr old powerhouse in the future. With a background in jazz and a trained multi instrumentalist, exploring Hip Hop and underground House and UK Garage, Julian soon started to craft a unique style and put his own slap and funk into the mix. Focusing on a deep powerful sound with plenty of pound he quickly caught our attention as his meaty, stripped down minimalism explores an even darker chamber of the 'dungeon' . Julian's Hustlin' EP delivers the kind of tracks that keep the floor moving, essential tools that can be the perfect transition or the spark that lights the fuse on on the dance floor. Can you believe he made the track UNDRG at the ripe old age of 16 years old. It really blows our minds to think he made it 2 years ago and it still sounds fresh and futuristic. As with all our releases these jams are tried and tested and proved to be very useful for building the tension and getting those fist pumping. SlapFunk returns with another slamming various artist ep full of on point joints that bring the raw to the floor.

Hitting volume 7 in the Raw Joints series the label has finely selected a range of tracks, representing the spectrum of their infectious sound that never fails to get the party jumping and fists pumping. Swinging house, tribal rhythms, maximal grooves and ravey breaks will all do the damage on the dancefloor.

SlapFunk are back once again with another solid EP made to freak your speakers and terrorise your tweeters. This time however they dig 4 killer club cuts from the vaults of their extended family and VBX resident Ferro.

Mostly known for his prowess behind the decks, Ferro is also skilled in the studio as these minimal stripped down grooves show whilst continuing the maximal funk of the previous double EP release by Tommy Vicari Jnr.

All four tracks have an improvised live feel with arrangements that subtly evolve whilst smacking and slapping in all the right places, guaranteed to get the heads down and fists punching the air. Tried and tested there’s no doubt that this EP will deliver on the dancefloor.

Hailing from the steel city of Sheffield he forged a new bond with the label after a standout DJ set at one of the famous SlapFunk parties and then delivered 8 solid tracks to work the speaker stacks.

Even with a minimal approach to the main ingredients in the productions, the results have been creating maximum impact on the dance floor, fully road tested at some of the best parties and festivals. Deep,moody, glitched out grooves collide with warehouse box jams that will soon get you throwing some serious shapes.
