Iguana is the debut release of Dead Husband on Bordello A Parigi. The American group push their unique sound to new levels across this EP. Tracks, like the title piece, pace on skeletal beats with lyrics soaked into melody to create a bliss steeped style touched with melancholy. “Memory” trills with a similarly emotive tone. A lovelorn line marches to a pulsating drum. Machine words speak, melting with tear-stained chords in a contemporary work fitting of the modern romantics. The B-Side adopts a new complexion with “They’ll Be Fine Without You.” Despite the finality of the title, the track courses with an invigorating energy as rhythms race next effervescent notes. Percussive patterns quicken for the close, “Lake.” Sheer crystalline keys scale skyward, dancing and writhing between steady kicks and echoing voice. Synthesizer gems care of this Boston based outfit.

Doug Lee gives Facial Recognition the usual An-i treatment drawing out a monologue of emotion through the sub bass and sweet undulating use of distortion which constantly helps the track and the low end move forward, whilst electro aficionado Privacy offers up his take on the track with a rolling 4x4 composition true to his unique modus operandi, slowed down powerful.
And a remix debut for Papers, 5 years after down tooling from their white label series, they round off the record bridging the Atlantic gap with their distinctly steezey techno sound.

Juan Manuel Cidrón, hailing from Almeria (Andalusia), is a legendary Spanish synthesist who embarked on his musical journey in 1976. A veteran of analog electronic sounds, his early influences come from the Berlin School of the seventies (Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, etc.) and American Minimal music.

Cidrón has independently released 16 albums on his label, Extrarradio, with very limited distribution. ‘Juan Manuel Cidrón has always been immersed in music. As a child, he fell in love with a radio adorned with flashing lights – radio is now one of his professions. He was equally captivated by the music that enveloped him. With whatever little money he had as a child and during his youth, he would spend all his money on records and analog machines. Music is everything to him, and that’s why we understand his compositions as a celebration of life. The vastness that his electronic keyboards offer us is akin to the immensity of the desert, snow, and wind. Albums like ‘Tau’ or ‘Sonido Para Acciones’ belong to the realm of Spanish electronic music and are cherished by enthusiasts of sonic poetry. This vinyl edition holds a special place as it marks a return to analog, a medium Cidrón reveres and continues to embrace. ‘SLG3’ is a long-awaited double album with four lengthy tracks (one per side), available in a limited edition of 300 copies. It’s the first release exclusively on vinyl in over a decade (since ‘Patagón’ on Geometrik in 2012), considering that Cidrón has mainly released his recent works on CD.’The tracks S, L, and G evoke the personal perceptions that I could imagine for each of the three elements comprising our planet in all its forms, manifestations, and presences. The track ‘3’ evokes my unique interpretation of how an imaginary being from another world might perceive Earth – its discovery, journey to it, exploration filled with admiration, bewilderment, hope, and respect. Half of the dark synthwave duo THE HUNT ,Herbert West is a French electronic producer heavily influenced by 70’s and 80’s horror soundtracks. This artist tends to use vintage, analog and modular synths and It ´s important to point out that he has released with the Hunt two albums through the well-known labels Giallo Disco (2014) and Bordello a Parigi (2018).
Vortice Mortale is his new project in which he mixes space disco and dark synth music.It is clear as water that Herbert West loves Italian horror movies and French disco music of the past decade considering that this work “Memento Mori” is perhaps a perfect combination of powerful beats, enigmatic passages and wicked catchy melodies.
