New Yorker electronic producer DJ Spider is back on Itay's Out-ER with a muggy, abstract techno release 'Human Erosion Field EP', similarly to its debut 'V EP', released in September 2017 and produced in featuring with his longtime friend Phil Moffa.
Italian label Out-ER presents its twenty-sixth release continuing to explore the diverse musical path between house, techno and experimental electronic - which appears in most cases on Out-ER's sub-label Pregnant Void. 'Human Erosion Field EP' otherworldly showcases both a radiant take on electronic as well as gloomy and wild-eyed pieces, an aesthetic approach for which DJ Spider has been most known in the scene. Overlooking to the style of the tracks, the release does contain a sinister mood and a dense, solid sense of groove overall, a typical recurring feature of the producer's previous outputs. More

We had a little pause on our release schedule, but without further delay we present with pleasure the next bomb by our good friend, DJ Spider! Thema 46 was hatched from someone so deeply ingrained in the underground that he barely needs an introduction. From his RA "label of the month" featured imprint Plan B Recordings, to his thoroughly played productions on labels such as Rekids, Killekill and The Trilogy Tapes, DJ Spider has been a mainstay on the murkiest, most disorderly dance floors for years. His sound is characterized by disjointed elements lurching around in a off-kilter yet magnetic way that forces you to move in ways you didn't know you could. From the hell scorched, pitch bent echoes of "The Final Revolution" to the lo-fi groove antics of "Distress Signal", DJ Spider proves once again that no one can do it as perfectly weird as he can. New York’s DJ Spider returns to Rekids with four murky vinyl-only cuts this November. A highly respected label owner, DJ Spider is well known for helming esteemed imprints like Plan B, Sub Level Sounds and BTU music. As a producer he has made appearances on the likes of The Trilogy Tapes, BleeD, KilleKill and Vanguard Sound!, whilst last year saw him make his debut on Rekids. Returning to the imprint, the American artist follows DJ Deep, Jon Hester and FBK for the fourth outing in the Rekids Special Projects vinyl series. Opening with ‘Mobius Strip Revisited’, a squelching bass line and rolling percussive loops underpin ethereal pads and airy atmospheres before an extended keyboard solo plays over inspired chord progressions and a grooved low-end to give ‘Antikythera Mechanism Part 2’ an improvised feel. On the flip we have ‘Sub-Atomic Vibrations’, providing a series of irresistible lead synth melodies and crunchy drum compositions followed by ‘Struggles With Phantoms’, an unrelenting rhythm section lays the foundation for an evolving mid-range giving the release a stylish close.

After releases from the likes of Dakini9, Fox and Franklin Da Costa, it was only natural that Jersey City-based label Green Village would turn to DJ Spider for a new 12 inch. Well, it seems natural to us, in any case. The NYC artist is now a respected member of the Big Apple's contemporary house and techno wave, and it's an absolute must for him to be represented on the city's bubbling scene, especially when he's up for firing off tunes like "Space Jungle" and Satsang", two mean, club-minded house bangers with a prominent lower-end. "Divide & Conquer" turns things darker and more ominous thanks to its icy, minimal approach - a cold blend of stripped-back beats and circling bass tones - while "Urantia Of Nebadon" displaces the traditional house framework in favour of a dark, molecular selection of electronic sounds guided by a simple pattern of 4/4 beats. Classic Spider material...

DJ Spider makes his debut on Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint with four physical cuts this June. A key component in New York’s techno scene, over recent years the Plan B Recordings and Sublevel Sounds founder has graced the likes of The Trilogy Tapes, BleeD, KilleKill and Vanguard Sound! Releasing on Rekids as the label celebrates 10 years, Spider’s ‘Ninja Drive-By’ defines why so many hold the American stalwart in such high regard. ‘Dirt Nap’ leads the release with syncopated percussion and a thumping low-end that takes no prisoners. ‘TMC’ is a more subdued production in comparison, blending shadowy synths with an intricate drum workout. ‘Planetary DisFunkshun’ then introduces a penetrating melody amongst robust kicks, until ‘Montag’ concludes the package with moody pads and an inimitable rhythm

Limited to 300. A fourth vinyl release for London label BleeD, and a first full EP from New Jersey based DJ Spider, who runs Plan B and Sublevel Sounds, and has also released on The Trilogy Tapes, Killekill and Nord, occasionally in collaboration with Phil Moffa, Marshalito and Franklin De Costa. Spider also featured on the most recent BleeD release, providing a remix for Volte-Face's 'All Grown Up' EP. This release, 'Burning Museums', is said to "represent the loss of knowledge of mankind by the modern scientists who are destroying ancient texts in their attempt to erase history". A tough, direct yet heady EP, 'Burning Museums' features 4 Spider originals, 3 primed for techno floors, and 1 ambient excursion. There's also a remix by BleeD boss, Volte-Face. Eatly support from Svreca, DJ Nobu, Daniel Avery, Tripeo and Zadig.

Long time unsung UK techno artist Aubrey is to release Gravitational Lensing, a first artist album since 2001 and his third in all. It lands in early 2019 on Out-ER and across 12 tracks it finds him getting more personal and instinctive than ever before with jazz, techno, broken beat and house all colouring this most coherent of musical adventures.
Aubrey s discography dates back to the early nineties, when he was a key part of the UK scene on labels like Solid Groove, Textures and Mosaic. Up there with the greats from Chicago and Detroit, he has turned out a steady stream of music that marries perfect dance floor functionality with real musical invention. Always inspired by anything deep with a good groove, everything from synth band Japan to funk king George Clinton, electro break beats to Jean Michel Jarre all inform his work.
As a DJ, he cut his teeth playing the biggest raves in the UK with names like Carl Cox and Eddie C having been swept up by the acid house records that hit English stores when he was just 15. Add in a love of jazz, ambient and US house, and you have all the eclectic influences that this criminally under-the-radar artist has drawn on for his latest album.
It is one that finds him really put his personal stamp on his sound. It s a chance to be more who you are and what you feel without pressure to conform to a particular sound, it s a chance to be free, says the artist of the album process. It was partially produced at Out-ER s studio in Nard , Lecce over the course of a year s worth of studio jam sessions, and is his finest and most cinematic work to date.
Things kick off with the ambient synth modulations of Aerglo Visible before exquisitely loose jazz drums and sci-fi pads suspend you in the cosmos on Floating to Rigel. There is an experimental feel to the off grid drums, rippling chords and drunken keys of Doctor Portia that keeps you brilliantly off balance, and the first deep techno trip is Journey To the Blue Planet , which has gorgeous ambience swirling over rolling, dubby kicks and soulful Detroit synth work. Carrying on through more lush, musical synth work and inventive drums, there are moments of heads down dance floor power and hi-tech soul, serene techno landscaping and chord-laced deep house that is superbly cerebral throughout the album.
In all, it makes for a complete and storytelling record that draws on a rich variety of genres and reworks them into something deep, multi-layered and hugely emotional that works as well in headphones, at home, as it will in the club. More

inland - R-13 (Bnjmn Remix) T
Next up on Out-ER is Inland, aka Ed Davenport, an artist who has long been a friend of the label and whose powerful techno sound is a perfect fit. His three originals come with a remix by Tresor and Tiercel artist BNJMN. Inland has collaborated with Out-ER for some time now, contributing as a remixer and was involved in their events in Italy, Germany and Holland, from label showcases to workshops and panel discussions. He's released on the likes of Ostgut Ton, Nonplus+, and runs his own Counterchange label, which recently celebrated its 10th release. Up first is the perfectly driving 'R-13', with a concrete bass-end down low and celestial synth patterns up top. The train-track percussion locks in the momentum, while the beautiful waves of sine wave bleeps keep your heart and head closely connected. Flipping the vibe completely is 'Eminent Domain', a surging old-school indebted ride, with its hypnotic mutating synths, overdriven percussion and icy hats. It's a majestic track followed-up by 'Planitia', a more twisted modernist techno cut with turbulent synths wrought with tension and steel plated drums hitting hard. Glassy harnonic layers add colour resulting in an utterly absorbing trip. Long time friend BNJMN has a unique take on melody and texture in his work, proven by a series of excellent LPs and EPs on labels like Rush Hour, Tresor and his own Tiercel imprint. Here he flips 'R-13' into an eerie, loopy dub with slithering synths and distant bell drones fluttering in and out of the mix. The layered drums add real dynamism to this floating yet intense interpretation that closes out an EP of inventive modern techno.

Italian label OUT-ER returns with a superb new EP from DJ/producer Alessandro Stefanio aka Buck featuring 4 tracks of deep and dubby techno… Southern Italian record label OUT-ER, or Outelectronic Recordings to give it its full name, has rapidly established itself as a new bastion for quality electronic music with its superb singles to date from some of Italy’s finest, including The Analogue Cops, Luciano Esse and Santorini. Now the imprint looks to another Italian production heavyweight Alessandro Stefanio AKA Buck for it’s latest release ‘The JVSB EP’. Buck has been releasing quality techno for the last 5 years with labels such as Safari Numerique, Alphahouse, Little Helpers & Motivbank. As a DJ he established himself playing at Italy’s key clubs before taking his sets to the world at venues such as Watergate, Weekend, Tresor & Club der Visionaere. In 2011, along with a group of close friends he launched the OUT-ER label. ‘The JVSB EP’ kicks off with the nattily titled ‘STFLSN78/M0’, a deep, rolling machine groove with a clear Detroit / Basic Channel influence. Heavily delayed stabs and skittering percussion ride alongside understated melodic elements to create a hypnotic and trippy track that is truly sublime. The second A- side track ‘18978##’ takes things down a slightly tougher and more stripped road and delivers a record that is certain to twist heads in the early hours. The B-side kicks of with ‘JREVENGE’ a unique sounding record that manages to fuse elements of techno, old school house and broken beats to superb effect. This is an instant winner that is certain to have appeal across musical genres. Finally we have ‘A New Session’ which sees Buck drop an intense synth laden groove over tough rolling drums and bass, quality stuff. Italy has a strong and ever evolving techno scene with some highly respected labels, but it has to be said there is something very unique about the approach of OUT-ER and with just 6 releases under their belt they are already a label not to be ignored.
