Kerri Chandler and his Kaoz Theory imprint continues to move from strength to strength still after decades at the forefront of House music. In this ‘Lost & Found’ series, Chandler dives back into his vault to unearth forgotten gems and bring them into the limelight today. For this release, Kerri also revisits ‘Let It’ from his recent ‘Spaces and Places’ LP, reworking it with a new vocalist this time round, namely AbbieLee.

Kicking things off is new version of Let It (Give Me Back My Love), laid out across six minutes, employing shimmering Rhodes melodies, fluttering arpeggios, a bumpy bass groove and crisp drums intertwined with AbbieLee’s soulful vocal stylings. ‘Another Dawn (Vocal Mix)’ follows with jazzy, bruk-tinged drums, uplifting piano chords and pulsating subs running alongside enchanting vocal lines,On the flip-side, Kerri dives into more underground basement realms with the murky basstones, shuffled dusty drums and expansive reverberations of ‘The Bassline (Kerri’s DarkMix). ‘The Breeze’ then rounds out the EP with an electro tinged 808 jam, utilising the machines classic cowbell chimes, skippy snares, rumbling toms and thunderous kicks.

One of the world’s premier DJ Duo’s, Chus & Ceballos are well known for their uniquely energetic sets that feature hard hitting techno influences but still retain an essential connection to pure American house Music. Their music shines particularly bright in the summer, when their driving percussions impact even bigger during outdoor festivals and in the European summer clubbing markets. For their new release on Nervous, they have found a song initially released by DJ Michael Flume in 2001 called Agolele. While the release had limited exposure in its initial release, Chus & Ceballos were inspired by the authentic tribal flavor and inspired instrumentation, and saw a vision of how they could turn this into a 2019 summer club anthem. One of the musical highlights from Louie Vega’s NYC Disco album, “Rebel Nation” is a collaboration between grammy award winner Louie Vega, legendary multi-platinum producer Patrick Adams, and Nulu Records president, international DJ and artist Anané. Patrick initially had the idea for the song after seeing a recent Star Wars movie. Louie saw the vision of what it could ultimately be with live music additions, and Anané added the inspired lyrical content and vocal performance. In Louie’s own words, “I call Anané a chameleon, because she transcends so many different sounds with her voice. She gave the track just the right feeling vocally. It’s a very punk-rock approach; the kids speaking out, all kinds of people making the statement, Get Up! Stand Up! Let’s Rise! Jasper Street Co. has cemented its reputation through the years as one of America's premier medium for quality soulful and gospel-based house music. Jasper Street Co. consists of vocalists Randy Roberts, Vonita White, Richard Burton and super producers Teddy Douglas and DJ Spen. Teddy is one of the founding and core members of The Basement Boys, a monumental production team behind multiple hits including the 1991 gold single "Gypsy Woman (La Da Dee, La Da Da)" - arguably one of the greatest house music productions of all time. Seminal Mood II Swing production remixed by UK cutting edge Producer Pearson Sound for Nervous Records. One of the most memorable House Music anthems from NYC’s “golden era of house” has been given the 2016 treatment by Pearson Sound. “Learn 2 Luv “ features lead vocals by one of House Music’s greatest voices, Kim English. Originally produced by Mood II Swing in 1997, it quickly became a favourite of legendary producer Francois K, who subsequently added his “Atmospheric Mood” mix to the package. With Nervous Records currently celebrating its 25th year in operation, Pearson Sound went through the catalogue with the idea of putting his distinctive sound to one of these classic NYC house jams. As one third of the team behind the Hessle Audio label, David Kennedy’s Pearson Sound moniker has become synonymous with cutting edge UK dancefloor music. The result of this collaboration between Nervous and Kennedy is his remix of “Learn 2 Luv,” released on 12” vinyl on Dec 9 on Nervous Records. On the flip side is an equally forward thinking remix by Supernova of a classic Nervous release, the Black Moon hip hop anthem “How Many Emcee’s (Must Get Dissed),” re-titiled “Must Get This.” Supernova are an Italian DJ team andproduction duo consisting of “Emijay” Nencioni and Giacomo “G.O.D.I” Godi. They have been a force in house music over the past decade, both through their highly popular remixes and productions and their label Lapsus. Nervous has been unique throughout its 25 lifespan in its ability to release genre – defining music in many different areas of music, including house, hip hop and techno. That openness to new sounds is well represented in this remix, where Supernova has masterfully combined a storming house music track with a vocal from one of NYC’s most famous MC’s, Buckshot of Black Moon.

As Mood II Swing, production duo Lem Springsteen and John Ciafone became one of the most in-demand remixers in the late '90s. The duo's production career began modestly, however. After a failed attempt at R&B, the two turned to house music. Early productions such as Sylvano's "Helpless" and Wall of Sound's "Critical" were a step in the right direction, as were releases such as "I Need a Bitch" for Cutting and "Searchin'" for Groove On, but it was the duo's remixes of Ultra Naté's "Free" for Strictly Rhythm that struck gold. The song became a huge hit and soon Mood II Swing was remixing big-name producers like BT ("Remember") and King Britt ("The Reason") as well as the next Ultra Naté single, "Found a Cure," which also became a huge hit record around the world. Then, as a testament to the duo's success, the New York-based Nervous have dug up the remixes Mood II Swing did for the label during their seminal mid 90's period re mastered and re released on wax for 2016.

Yet another slept on Wayne Gardiner production from 1992, hand picked from the Nervous Records vaults and fresh for 2015. 2 mixes of "Mellow" take up side A; the "From The Deep" mix is a classy, pacey deep groove, pure heads down NYC business oozing musicality, keys and melodies while the "Ambient Mix" follows with a tougher edged feeling, a taut bass-line and some haunting pads and piano. Both mixes are very different, yet equally engaging and both feature flawless production from Mr.Gardiner. On side B we have 2 mixes of "Love", a subtle vibes led cut punctuated with classic vocal samples peppered throughout telling us we "Got to have it" and that love will "make you stay out all night long", a super deep track indeed with both mixes lending a different feel for the heads and dancers alike! Sublime deep House of the highest order from New Jersey’s very own Kerri “Kaoz 6:23” Chandler. "Rain" taken from Kerri's 1998 "The Mood" EP, was always a deep house classic.
These mixes originally made by Kerri for Nervous in 2000 get a re master and limited repress for 2016.
