Nachtbraker - Small Towel People
2
Nachtbraker - Kippendijen
3
Nachtbraker - Zomaar
limited to 500 copies with artwork
Track list:
A - Small Towel People
B1 - Kippendijen
B2 - Zomaar
Release Info:
Label boss Nachtbraker is finally making his solo debut on Quartet Series after a successful EP last year on Heist Recordings. Widely known for exploring different sounds and angles with his productions, this record is the most club-orientated to date. Intricate ghetto house with a slight French touch to straight up 4x4 with a pinch of jacking flavour would be an accurate description of this release. The use of 90's hip hop samples within this auditory concoction successfully highlights Nachtbraker's excellent ear for detail and penchant for exciting, eclectic and downright weird changeovers.
The main hitter taking over the full A side is the title track "Small Towel People". An uplifting bass line accompanied by heated 909 percussion and a hypnotic thriving arp to seal the deal. On the flipside, you'll find "Kippendijen" on the B1. A heavyweight in the house category, some glimpses of early days jacking house and a little French touch on the filter. Throw in a breakdown even Houdini wouldn't be able to handle and you'll find yourself putting this track on repeat. Then when the needle hits the B2 groove, "Zomaar" kicks off with an energetic mpc style breakbeat before morphing into a deep jam of lush chords and a thrusting 4x4 beat. The track closes after switching back to the first part of the record and ends in a sublimely deep and dubby breakbeat.

Nachtbraker - B2. Nachtbraker - Drip
Four new original songs from Nachtbraker with intricate percussion and melodic arrangements. Diving deep into Nachtbraker's wicked mind, each tune has a healthy dose of weirdness.
Title track "Bay Be Blu" tickles the endorphin receptors with its euphoric melodies and 'Stranger Things' atmospheres. The second track leans on soothing warm synths gliding over a dub bass with tight drums. In addition, attentive listeners will hear Nachtbraker's personal field recordings on the beaches of Barceloneta. When the record is flipped one finds herself in "Tangelo Dreams", a mid 90's, Pacific Records inspired jam with a driving baseline. Rounding off the record is "Drip", a track drenched in unconventionalism and oddities.
Mastered and lacquer cut by Simon (The Exchange) Davey.

Release Info:
One year after its release, Quartet Series proudly presents the remix EP of Nachtbraker's successful debut album When You Find a Stranger in the Alps. A collection of remixes by some serious talent. These three producers were carefully selected by Nachtbraker because of their impeccable reputation and ability to bring something unique to the world of music.
Humble Danish maestro Central (Help, Dekmantel) flips "Flambo" into a Jori Hulkkonen'esque summer anthem with a highly addictive bassline. Preacher of wonkiness Frits Wentink (Wolf, Heist, Bobby Donny) took "LOL" and brought it some serious keys on a solid breakbeat while maintaining its jolly character. Flipping the record, Nachtbraker brings us the evolution of "Just Doing My Thang" turning it into a quirky dance floor tune whilst also showcasing his ear for detail. Up and coming talent Nemo Vachez (Forest Ill, Opia Records, Rakya) dives deep into "Horsepony" as if he's cruising the depths of a rainforest in a submarine. His surreal dub mix is the perfect final track of this fine piece of wax

Release Info:
After a string of acclaimed EPs on Heist, Dirt Crew and Quartet Series, Amsterdam's Nachtbraker presents 'When You Find a Stranger in the Alps', his first longplayer on his own Quartet Series imprint. The good-humoured Dutchman - tongue always firmly in cheek - has always refused to stick to the 'sound du jour' and the industry's conventions, following his own path instead, continually willing to step out of his comfort zone. 'When You Find a Stranger in the Alps', a nod to his favourite Coen Brothers' movie, is testament to Nachtbraker's studio prowess and drive to explore new sonic pastures and styles. The album consists of thirteen tracks, made over the course of 2,5 years in his studio at Volkshotel Amsterdam. Constantly shifting through different settings and moods, the album feels like a deep dream, with vivid details, blurry edges and a warped sense of time. The word "stranger" in the title references to this dream state in which you sometimes can be a stranger to yourself.
Album opener 'The Dream Sequence' sets the mood with a lo-slung hip-house groove that relies heavily on field recordings, like the sound of one of the capital's trams. 'Flambo', a delectable slice of up-tempo French filtered house, is aimed straight at the dance floor. Nachtbraker dims the lights on 'NSFW', cleverly manipulating samples from adult oriented flicks, and turns in a hilarious skit with 'LOL'.
Flip over for 'Randy', a quintessential Nachtbraker track, morphing from a Balearic, tropical disco shuffler to a dance floor banger. 'Driving me Lazy' starts out as a downtempo number but changes into a full-on drum 'n bass workout. The driving 'You Can't Run' features drunken chords over a sober beat, conjuring up visions of running circles in a dark maze. 'Just Doing My Thang' rides a classic broken beat, while Nachtbraker pushes the boundaries again on Innaspace, which starts out as an instrumental hip hop track yet finishes on a jungle tip.
'Aliens' is a choppy, headsdown groover with cheeky UFO-geek samples that wouldn't be out of place on a mid-90s West Coast Deep House compilation. 'Horsepony' finds Nachtbraker on a sultry Nightmares on Wax tip. Finally, it ends with where it all started; it'll be the moment "When You Wake Up".
The album is recorded and mixed at Nachtbraker's studio in the Amsterdam Volkshotel. All 13 tracks are run through 2" tape on a Studer A800 and are mastered at Q-lab studio in Basel, Switzerland.

Across the street from where Trouw used to be, lies a nice little hotel. It was in the basement of this hotel, where a curious meeting happened. Something so coincidental and so unassumingly trivial, that even the slightest event of randomness could have prevented this from ever happening, yet it did happen and here we are.
This curious meeting was the result of an open studio door of Nachtbraker, and the hint of disco coming out the door, where Dr. San Proper just happened to pass by in search of whatever it is he searches for at 10 am on a Tuesday. The good doctor decided to walk in, greeted Nachtbraker in his ordinary weird way and casually grabbed a microphone. Nachtbraker pressed record, Dr. Proper got his inner Mick Jagger on, and behold: Misses, madame, mademoiselle was born: an up-tempo disco groove with Nachtbraker's touch of loose arrangement, and San Proper's amazing vocals. We asked our good friends and great producer duo Session Victim to re-interpret M.m.m. and they gave it a great dreamy-but-groovy twist, adding pads and shuffling hi-hats.
We had already heard Nachtbraker working on a deep house - meets - afro track a while back and he made 2 versions of this track to complement the EP. Hamdi is probably one of the most euphoric tracks in his discography to date, and it's one you're likely to hear a lot in the coming time. With the use of chopped vocals (we'll let you figure out the source material) and a teasing build up, the track breaks down into a lovely chant, adding energy with every bar without ever coming close to being tacky or overproduced. The alternate version is an excursion into 808 booty territory, using different chops, alienating loops and yes, even a siren.
The M.m.m. EP is Nachtbraker's most mature production to date and we're happy to share it with you. Play it loud.
Your Sincerely,
Maarten & Lars.

Nachtbraker - Rew (Rerub)
Track list:
A1 Really Ties the Room Together
B1 Rew
B2 Rew (Rerub)
Release Info:
Nachtbraker is back! It's been a huge year for the Amsterdam deep house juggernaut who returns to Dirt Crew with his all new and colorfully titled "Really Ties The Room Together" EP. Constantly on the move, he's found time between touring throughout Europe, Asia and South America to continue to push his a-typical house sound forward with this year's HEIST release and his quirky jam "Busy Bee" that was featured on our "Deep Love 100" Compilation.
This three tracker is jam packed with bouncing club tunes and a whole lot of flange. Things kick off with the title track "Really Ties The Room Together". It twists and turns over an unconventional but irresistible groove, shimmying shakers, brass stabs and a serpentine riff work together creating a super tight dance floor cut.
"Rew" begins somewhere in deeper territory, suspense building beneath the clouds, a rumbling bass rolls in from over the horizon before a glorious funk guitar blows the whole thing wide open, letting the sun's rays burst through and that familiar Nachtbraker good time energy shine in. The rerub of "Rew" is something altogether new from our deep house protagonist, a break beat and casual groove guide gently towards an ever intensifying acid trip. Don't be fooled by the lovely deep chords, things get nasty in the end.
It's best to expect the unexpected from our adventurous resident producer, and this EP is no exception.

Track list 12":
A1. Gotta act to react , A2. Pollo con Pollo B1. Intermezzlow, B2. Intermezzo , B3. Gotta act to react (Float mix)
Release Info:
They say all good things comes in threes, and with the marking of Nachtbraker's 3rd release for Heist, we can confirm this universal truth once again. Maurits Verwoerd comes back to Heist with more dancefloor muscle than ever before, and shows us great development of his sound: while keeping his unconventional drum patterns and love for the deeper side of house, he adds some filtered funk flavor along the way.
'Gotta act to react' drives on a saturated bassline, a hypnotizing guitar lick and some seriously loose hi-hats, but really delivers once those hard to place filtered hits come in. 'Pollo con Pollo' is potentially Maurits' most clear attempt at a straightforward groove, with a lovely dreamy guitar loop running throughout the track. Add his loose sense of arrangement and changeovers, and it's still anything but straightforward. The B- side gets nice and weird with 2 versions of Intermezz(l)ow, the one being a lovely textured interlude and the other a rough drum workout built around the same theme.
When we asked Maurits who he wanted to have as a remixer, he suggested he'd do a remix himself. We knew better than to argue with him, and since he is who he is, we're not entirely surprised he came up with a great dubbed out acid-tinged flip of 'Gotta act to react'. This EP really shows Nachtbraker's steady rise and will most likely take him out of the shadows he so enjoys, into headline territory and we're glad to support him in this journey.
Sincerely yours, Lars & Maarten

A1 - Hump A2 - Backstabber , B1 - Time Is of the Essence B2 - Monday Mourning
Release Info:
The man that represents the deeper side of Amsterdam house is back on Dirt Crew. His last outing on Detroit Swindle’s “Heist Recordings”, the “Le Troubadour EP” was another fine example of that laid back funky deep house only Nachtbraker can squeeze out. Settling into the groove immediately is ‘Hump’, bouncing chords and a warbling Rhodes lead into an irresistible bass line. The title track, ‘Backstabber’ hits right in the hips, a chugging feel good work out for the dance floor. The flip remains true to the flavor of this whole EP, offering up a massive speaker rattling bottom end and funk flavored keys on Time Is Of The Essence’, while ’Monday Mourning’ steps up with expertly cut disco samples, an effervescent excursion with a jazzy lead and a touch of vocoder for good measure. The release is rounded out with digi only offering ‘Yaaa’, a sub driven deep house work out, boasting swelling loops and hypnotic percussion.
Nachtbraker’s sharp sense of harmony and knack for vibe is ever present throughout this whole release, he has truly fine tuned his sound to a perfect balance of unbounded energy and stylish musicianship. We are happy to welcome him back on Dirt Crew with this classy release.

Release Info:
After three major releases by Tell, Nachtbraker and S3A, its time for debuting Italian artist Verner to close our beloved Trophy Quartet. This Milanese key virtuoso is ready to blow your mind with this eccentric yet humble ep, taking you on an emotional journey. Long stretched pads, playful chord progressions, organic percussion all produced with analogue 70's and 80's vintage synthesizers and drum computers in Verner's studio reminding us a bit of Harvey Sutherland and Nu Guinea's style. We're talking groove, funk, jazz but also house and soundtrack style compositions which together form a very complete record carefully A&R'd by Nachtbraker.
Drop the needle on the A side and you'll start off with L'inizio, a majestic piece of synthwork. Hurdling through different emotions and vibes, this could easily be the intro of one of your favourite 80's tv series. Upset takes you on a happy groovy tour whilst Crash of the Web Era and The Motion Pictures take us on a trippy and ambient voyage that is hard to wake up from. When flipping the record to the B side, Verner is stepping back into the groove and funk with Tecladista, arguably the dance floor hit of this debut EP. Starting of with again a majestic synth intro Area drops into a festive funk and jazz bomb with some intricate synth work treating us with some lovely solos. Closing this versatile EP is Late Night Job, a deep, deep tune with a thriving baseline and mesmerizing synths.
We suggest to don't sleep on this one and have a listen to this piece of art by the very talented Verner.

With the previous releases being delivered by Tell and label boss Nachtbraker, we are very delighted to welcome back Parisian sample connoisseur S3A for the third installment of the Trophy Quartet.
- limited to 500 copies with artwork
Track list:
A1 - Presentiment (feat. Mika Blaster)
A2 - Something More
B1 - Wu Impact
B2 - Influences
Release Info:
S3A, a fundamental player in the French house scene and resident at Paris' famous Concrete between 2012 and 2016 has been making serious waves with releases on labels such as Gerd's 4lux, Local Talk, Hold Youth, Lazare Hoche, Quintessentials, his very own Sampling As An Art records and in 2016 he debuted with his track "Antois Benime (Austral Parc)" on the second release of Quartet Series. This cut became a major summer hit, played by nearly every house music DJ, including Byron the Aquarius during his wicked set on the Boiler Room stage at Dekmantel in 2017. We decided this greatly deserved a follow up and we're proud to finally present Climax EP with S3A's signature sound written all over it....
Opening on the A side is "Presentiment", a collaboration with Mika Blaster. Starting off with majestic strings then suddenly dropping into a massive beat with haunting samples flourishing over the thriving percussion telling you to dance... THOU SHALT DANCE!! The second track "Something More" picks up where Antois Benime left off. A genius mix of uplifting samples and 909 percussion makes this another club ready weapon, bound to leave smiling faces on the dancefloor.
When flipping the record you'll dive into S3A's deepness with "Wu Impact". Soft and sweet Rhodes chords, an insanely groovy bass line with percussion and those mellifluous strings again. Finishing off the release is a deep slammer that goes by the name of "Influences", again a display of S3A's ability to use a wide array of elements within a single tune, molded together to one coherent, lovable and danceable piece. Boy did we wish we had the sampling skills of this master.
A must have record for any House Music lover. On y va!

A1 – Macho Culture
A2 – Muscle Mass Increase
B1 – Proper Sauna Chill
B2 – Krepkiye Bitsepsy
Release Info:
The third instalment of the Bodybuilder Quartet has arrived, and once again label boss Nachtbraker adds an
exciting name to the Quartet Series manifesto.
Moscow native Kuzma Palkin previously released a double 10” and a double 12” on quality Russian imprint Gost
Zvuk, but is also known for his productions under his Audiocad (Between Us) and Kausto (Shanti Records) noms
de guerre. Make sure to check those out if you haven’t already. Here, Kuzma serves up an EP as deep as they
come, with greasy, industrial and glitchy sounds floating on steady beats. Title tune “Macho Culture” is a peaktime
roller for darker club spaces with its deep melodic stabs, slapping snares and a haunting synth. Also on the A is
“Muscle Mass Increase”, which is cut from the same haunting cloth but comes with an edgy saw synth that will have
the punters reach for the lazers.
Flip over for “Proper Sauna Chill”, which comes with a thumping kick, beautifully crafted sound design details and an
undeniable groove. Closing Kuzma’s Quartet Series debut EP is “Krepkiye Bitsepsky”, another showcase of amazing
sound design and warped stabs floating over a steady break beat and groovy bass line to round things off nicely.

A1 - Been There Come Back
A2 - Portamento 101
B1 - Final Dinner
B2 - Eighty Ain't
Release Info:
Quartet Series is back with the Bodybuilder Series after Scott Franka's popped the new offshoot's cherry in the spring. For this sophomore release, Nachtbraker sourced some serious production talent from Eindhoven, The Netherlands. While it's the Portamento Boys' first ever release, they have the chutzpah to go full-frontal Italo and pull it off with great panache with a moody and energetic EP. The record is characterized by catchy melodies, quirky vibes and warm analog grooves. Connoisseurs will instantly recognize the TR-606 and 707, SH-101, Ensoniq Esq1 and a Casio CZ-3000.
The Italo express jets off and takes no prisoners with "Been There Come Back", a banging workout paying homage to the glorious 80's. Shoulder-pad boogie anyone? "Portamento 101" feels like you're playing the 1986 version of Outrun on your Sega. On the flip "Final Dinner" serves up some fine Asian-Italian fusion Cuisine, and finally the P Boys drop "Eighty Ain't", acknowledging that even though the tracks are clearly inspired by the 80s, they didn't just emulate, but innovate instead.
Now let's introduce the Portamento Boys. Some say it al began when the first episode of "Jacques, zo is het wel weer genoeg geweest" was aired on the Dutch box back in the second half of 1988. Others say it was the respect he got for robbing the local Albert Heijn with the famous saying, "Hallo, Jumbo" that made him end up in solitary confinement. His colleagues say he never let go of Piet, his last undercover assignment. But the only one to help him in these times of mental distress, identity crises and general psychosomatic turmoil was Koos. After all these years there is a mantra to find in Piet's life that keeps him going. He managed himself, stayed on his feet and let his life live him instead of the other way around: 'I never chose this life, and neither did Koos'.
To keep personalities as Piet alive, Koos helped him form an undercover band. Problem might be that they have switched names more often than an octave switches in harmony from scale to scale. That's why they return as the Portamento Boys. Always modulating about and in between. Nothing appears as it seems.
Andiamo!

A1 – Faster Than Light
A2 – Ya’ll Feel That Honey (Paradise Mix)
B1 – What Can U Do For Me
B2 – Vamos A La Playa
Release Info:
Besides launching his fresh Bodybuilder Quartet series (QSB), inaugurated by Scott Franka, Nachtbraker
unveils yet another Quartet: four records in the The Trophy Quartet series (QST). Both these two Quartets
will be released over the course of the next two years.
The Trophy series will cover the warmer side of the house music spectrum. And who better than Parisian
boy-wonder Tell (Banoffee Pies, Skylax, Rutilance) to kick off proceedings with the brilliant “Faster Than
Light” EP. Last year he released “Hope Springs Eternal” on QS003 which was an overnight succes after
getting rinsed by heavyweights like Jeremy Underground and Detroit Swindle, so a proper solo EP was
inevitable.
On the A1 Tell serves up some intergalactic French filter house dubbed “Faster Than Light”, which brings
back the Daft Punk and Armand van Helden vibes of our Walkman-days. We all just love filters, admit it.
Its true. Next up is “Ya’ll Feel That Honey (Paradise Mix)”, a tune with undeniable swing and moody
chords that ultimately collide beautifully with a delectable big room piano riff that will stay in your head for
days. B1 opens with a leisurely-paced jam called “What Can U Do For Me”. It’s the ‘pretty one’ of the EP,
the one girls fall in love with and boys hate to love because they know he’s hot stuff. A high pitched vocal,
asking what you can do for her, flies over rubbery Rhodes chords with neat percussion keeping you on
the groove. The EP closes with B2 “Vamos A La Playa”. Keywords: coconuts, sand, bikini, six-pack and
tan. Vamos!

Scott Franka - Sorry

Scott Franka - Steet
limited to 500 copies with artwork
Track list:
A1 – The Gym, A2 – Toenail
B1 – Sorry, B2 – Street
Release Info:
While unveiling the ‘Mutant Tournament’ Quartet last year, label boss Nachtbraker was quietly hunting for new music behind the scenes. Being the fine huntsman he is, he came out of the woods with sonic bits and bobs so
delectable he had no choice but to spread them out over two brand new quartets. That’s right, eight records in total, to be released over the course of the next 18 months.
We’re delighted to introduce you to Scott Franka, who’s at the helm of the first missive. This creative head from Amsterdam has been making music since the tender age of 11, but it wasn’t until he adopted his Scott Franka moniker that he really found his groove. His music encompasses influences from dub and dark techno to classic drumpcomputer and synth-heavy house. Franka’s style takes cues from Detroit, Chicago and the UK, and yet is also very personal and forward thinking at the same time. ’The Gym’ might be his solo debut, but a smattering of releases from the man is on the horizon.
The best way to introduce you to Scott Franka’s musicality is “The Gym” on A1. Starting of with sweet, melancholic chords and 808 hats Scott turns your world upside down after the first break. Try to keep your head steady, and get that dirty look of your face.. doesn’t work right? It’s just too good. “Toenail” is up next, and its undeniable groove and incredible amalgamation of synths and strings make for an absolute early hours melter.
Flip over for ‘Sorry’ to hear Franka knock it out of the ballpark with its heavy breakbeat and UK-style bass.
Finally, there’s ‘Street’, a mesmerising groover, rounding things off nicely. The release doesn’t only mark its first artist EP, it also marks a new look for the label. Building on the muscular,pheromone-rich theme of the first Quartet, Elsemarijn Bruys developed a fresh concept for both new Quartets
with a little help from Scott Franka, who is involved in numerous art projects in Amsterdam. And in case you’rewondering: yes, that’s an actual picture of a bodybuilder, painted from head to toe. Don’t ask us how, just marvel. More

Release Info:
Finally, the battle is about to reach its thrilling finale after three exhausting rounds. Our pugilists are staggering on their feet and the bookies are running around frantically, taking the final bets. Will the Bad Guys suckerpunch the Good
Guys into oblivion, or does team Good have an epic deathmove in store for its malevolent adversaries? Amsterdam native Nachtbraker steps back into the arena for the fourth chapter in the saga. The Quartet Series label boss and Heist and Dirt Crew mainstay has defected to the bright and sunny Good Guys. Piano chords, chopper effects and toms are the main ingredients of his funk-laden and groovy energy drink. Better than steroids they say. Laurence Guy (Church, Rose Records) joins forces – or heads in this particular case with a much-needed supplement that tugs on your heartstrings with its lush keys and deep pads. This London lad has been stirring up the scene with his flawless and addictive chords, not to mention the big support he’s getting from maestro Move D.
Will this dapper duo be strong enough to floor the misfits featured on the flip? Great precaution is imperative with two heavyweights in the other corner. First mr. Tommy Vicari Jnr (Cabinet Records, YAY Recordings, AMMO84) comes barging in. This Sheffield veteran has been making killer cuts for years now and is about to step into the ring with his slamming snares, and wonkly wobbly bassline swinging around a phat kick. To keep both The Bad Guys feet on the ground LK (Shall not Fade, Hokkaido Dance Club) adds some extra meat with a deep, heavy bassgroove, while a sexy vocal and steady chords create that gangsta vibe that will boost the Bad Guys’ confidence.
Enjoy this last round of the first Quartet in the Series. More to come next year. Quartet Series is a fresh imprint, run by Maurits Verwoerd (Nachtbraker), with four releases in the pipeline, featuring four different artists and commissioned storyboard comics on the sleeve. To see how the story unravels, you’ll need to catch them all… Special thanks to Giuseppe D’Alessandro (KiSk).

B2 – BAL 5000 – The Acid Is Mine But I Share
Release Info:
The ring master’s voice booms through the arena’s speakers. “Ladies and Vagabonds. Round Three just kicked off and both teams seem bent on wrapping this up with brute force. The Good Guys seem to be cornering their malevolent adversaries there, but wait! a swift jab to the jaw and Team Decent hits the canvas…
Rising talent Tell (Beat-x-Changers, Banoffee Pies) from Paris handles the opening play for the Good Guys on the third missive of the fledgling Quartet Series imprint. Tell seems to confirm Paris is rapidly reclaiming its former status as a hotbed for raw and moody house music by offering up a delectable blend of lavish chords, distorted sounds and melancholic vocals. Darko Kustura (Pole Jam, What’s in the Box) throws in some additional punches for the Good
Guys. The Croation beatsmith might not be the most prolific but made a name for himself with an amazing ep on Legendary Sound Research under his Teleskop moniker and treats the crowd to a wobbling groovy baseline and sugary sweet chords.
Being Bad can be a good thing sometimes as well. The dark side has cookies, after all. Mancunian Loz Goddard (Dirt Crew, Outplay, Razor-n-Tape) steps out of his comfort zone and delivers a sonic uppercut with a mad piece of swinging acid. Accompanying him on the team is our Hungarian BAL 5000 (SPIEL) who flexes his acid muscle to disorientate and a dubby bass to sedate. The acid is his, but he’s willing to share.
All in all we’ll have a very interesting fight ahead of us. DING DING!

Track list:
A1 S3A – Antois Benime (Austral Parc) , A2 Ponty Mython – Lovin You Is A Pleasure
B1 NY*AK – Lovess , B2 D-Ribeiro – Mansa II
Info:
Things are getting grim. The Good Guys and The Bad are determined to settle their escalating dispute in the ring. After the bookies have taken their bets, The Bad Guys are taking the upper hand in the first few rounds. The nefarious comment about their beloved mother seems to have sparked uncontrollable rage in the pair. Don’t rule out the Good Guys just yet though, as they seem to be plotting something their opponents from the dark side won’t see coming… For the second outing in the Quartet Series, French fry and Parisian Concrete resident S3A (Sampling As A n Art, Faces) infuses the good guys with some positive energy. No matter the weather, one simple cannot ignore the good vibes being thrown down here. S3A shares his side of the record with Russian comrade Ponty Mython (Dirt Crew, Quintessentials), a producer who is never afraid to step out of his comfort zone. His ‘Lovin You Is A Pleasure’ is a glorious exploration of Afro rhythms and unconventional sounds against an Adriatic backbeat. Will this curveball be the silver bullet the Good Guys will be slinging at their evil adversaries? Problem is, Team Badness has also been enlisting secret weaponry. Newcastle’s very own NY * AK (Technicolour/Ninja Tune, Karakul) decided to walk over to the turn to the dark side. Don’t be fooled by the continuous chanting of “love” throughout the track or those soothing Rhodes chords, as the raw MPC beats will hit you hard. Finally, D-Ribeiro (4lux, Meda Fury), hailing from Rotterdam, provides the proverbial dragon punch with synths hammering down like chainsaws and a devastating baseline. No love lost between these two fighting machines, so kick back, relax and enjoy the fight!

Track list:
A1 - Crackazat - Lindop Circles , A2 - Saine - Prime Chops , B1 - Nachtbraker - Totally Not Mystique , B2 - Gnork - Chord Tool
Contrary to popular belief, good things don't come in pairs. The A-Team, the Teenage Ninja Turtles, Grand Theft Auto IV? That's right, foursomes are the real deal. So it's with great pleasure that after two years of frantic preparations, the Quartet Series is ready to be uncaged. A fresh imprint, run by Nachtbraker and KiSk, with four releases in the pipeline, featuring four different artists and commissioned storyboard comics on the sleeve. To see how the story unravels, you'll need to catch them all…
The Good Guys take care of the A side, while the Bad Guys take things over on the flip. An epic clash of brutal force and rivalry is inevitable. Things take off with an undecided arm wrestling match in Groiler's pub. Boiling. There is only one way to blow off steam. Lets enter the ring!
For the first missive, The Good Guys will be represented by pianowizard Crackazat (Local Talk, Futureboogie) bringing the optimistic vibes we need to start this fight, while Saine (Sleazy Beats) - the king of subtle moods - provides that voice of reason to keep both our feet on the ground. The Bad Guys enlisted the services of groove maestro Nachtbraker (Dirt Crew, Heist Recordings) to help out with the detailed footwork and master of multiple galaxies Gnork (Blorp, Blind Jacks Journey) steps up to the plate with unmatched stamina to roughen things up.
Let the fight begin.. DING DING!
