You wonít find too many jazz songs that start with a drum break, but then this is probably one of the better jazz/soul hybrids Iíve heard in some time. Produced by Richard Evans this song is a perfect display of acoustic jazz funk with Ron Carter & Grady Tate filling out the Rhythm section.

Hailing from Detroit Heavy Funk, Drum Beak Monster of a cut.
This record is a killer. Banginí drums, horns, a sweet bass line, Jake Wade and the Soul Searchers knew how to lay it down. Their DIY attitude was a great indication of just how much music that was under the radar at that time.
Toured with Blue-eyed Motown artist Stoney Murphy, even played in venues such as Detroit's famous Grande Ballroom.
Seaching for Soul, This 1968 Funk Bomb was even sampled in Beyonce song "Suga Mama"
