Scottish producer, Stephen Lopkin is back on M>O>S DEEP with a great double pack of that gleaming sound we love him for! More

Having already released on MOS Recordings’ sub label MOS Deep before now, Stephen Lopkin is now back with a second four track effort, due for release in April. The Scottish artist has been making prickly house and techno for almost a decade now, and on the four cuts here he once again showcases a serene and slick style.
Opener 'Och Aye' is Detroit styled cut with rich synths dancing about above rubber drums. It makes for a shiny, electrified atmosphere that is clean and sleek and emotive. 'Weegie in Wigan' is a much more peak time cut of cackling percussion, sombre chords dampening down raw drums and a wild FM baseline that adds an old school feel. On the flip, 'Ball & Chain' is another busy house effort that has hi hats spinning like plates, thudding kicks and whole eco systems of synths darting about while 'Meall' ends the EP on a masterfully melodic and heavenly groove that journeys through the starry night sky, wired up with electronics and stuffed with machine made soul. On the flip, we are honoured to welcome Donarra to the Bokhari stable with two beautifully crafted cuts.
'Frequences Test' is a is a low flying electro outing a la vintage Drexciya with a dark cinematic feel, conjuring up visions of gliding through an empty dystopian future city landscape on a planet far from home.
Donnara closes the EP with his beautiful and delicate ambient composition Юлия. A light rain falls as the arpeggiated marimbas creep in and the subtle strings float above caressing the ears, relaxing the mind. More

The mighty Bohari return with another in their split-single series, showcasing new and exciting artists. We have no idea who Barrut Fulsara is and he won't tell us a thing - all we know is that he has been in the game for a long time, and that this new moniker is for his excursions into deeper territory.
We're just happy he chose Bokhari as the outlet. Joe Europe on the flip delivers the kind of synth-laden quirky house that we love at Bokhari and we're pleased for this beautiful track to finally see the light of day...

It's safe to say GAMM are on an extended roll ! One of our consistently best-selling labels starts 2014 with another solid release. This time Turbojazz makes his his debut, with two heavy tunes. We start of with Que Pasa, a latin boogie number with a strong feel-good appeal…summer music! The second tune has a pretty famous jazz-bossa sample that most cats with a history of digging probably might recognize - possibly the best piano loop ever? Anyway, put this on and we're pretty sure all the jazz heads will get down like never before. GAMM is GAMMin' away as we say ;)

A diverse set of DJ luminaries from Laurent Garnier (who opened his recent Trouw Club podcast with 003) to Dimitri from Paris have been behind their last release. So, next up we have UK electronic music maverick MARK E Marks recent Project E releases have marked a significant shift in the sonic palette of this ever essential artist. And the Bokhari boys have signed a couple of absolute crackers from the Merc man primed and ready for the club this duo of hypnotic rollers is another ace in the pack for this great label. Artwork this time comes from illustrator Ian Stevenson. He'll be doing 50 unique sleeves for a Record Store Day edition, then picking one of those for the finished article. Big tracks alert! - The third release from the vinyl only Bokhari label with two new artists appearing on a hand screen printed ltd edition 10". Igor Jadranin brings you a heavy dose of percussive, groove-laden house music, packed with tension, swirling sirens, and melodic synth stabs. The ‘for just one thing’ vocal refrain burrows it’s way into your head, before morphing into an inspired neo-soul breakdown. On the flip Glitchell Moore's Skadarlija is an infectious slice of warm, intergalactic deep house. A lost, echo-laden vocal glides in and out of the track, whilst hypnotic keys and a lingering bassline give proceedings a lush, trippy feel. Not a million miles from the nostalgia tinged future boogie of a certain Space Dimension Controller, perfect music for the twilight hours.

Bokhari Records is a vinyl only label. Bokhari has been inspired by Mo' Wax of old, and Firecracker of present where care was/is also taken on packaging and design. Each release will feature a different illustrator / artist for the design. A very strong and varied 12 for the second release from Bokhari. 300 copies, vinyl only, and featuring wild 3D hand drawn artwork by nocturnal illustrator Ben Cook AKA Synthetics. Siafu's Slunk Dub starts proceedings with a slow, deep, languid house groove, propelled forward by a motoring bassline, murky acid grooves and insanely catchy keys. Acid House survivor Neville Watson's remix is tinged with nostalgia. Slow building mid-90's piano riffs give way to a nagging acid groove and epic synths. Retro futurism of the highest order. On the flip unknown Croatian producer Disrupted Project's 1.2 is an infectious slab of ocean deep, grainy dub techno. Drenched in warm bass and swimming in static - if Basic Channel had stepped it up a notch, this may have been the result.

Musically we will aim to stick loosely within the realms of house and techno, but often with our own slant on it; and as the first release shows, in this case will include some afro percussion and a touch of acid.
