DOMINIK might be known as a resident DJ of the CLUB SCHWARZES SCHAF in his hometown AUGSBURG. There he started throwing parties alongside DANIEL BORTZ and developed his style of DJing. Over the past years DOMINIK released music on labels like PASTAMUSIK, SUOL, LIEBE DETAIL and O*RS. He is also part of YANDOM ( a project together with YANNICK LABBÉ). DOMINIK’s productions are influenced by various kinds of music, let it be techno, house, disco or electronica – a mixture you can hear on his recent TRYADS EP on &ND MUSIC. A sound already loved and played by the likes of SBTH, BARNT, MARVIN & GUY, AERA and many more. At the moment DOMINIK is working on EPs following his EP on &ND MUSIC, both solo and as YANDOM.

Midnight Operators is back with its second release, which is also the first vinyl to be released on this imprint. Dominik Marz has his label debut with a solid four-tracker, delivering his signature blend of Avantgarde House and Indie Dance. A1 Dominik Marz blends melancholic arpeggios and gloomy pads with a rock-solid groove to what is the title track of his four-track vinyl debut on Midnight Operators. A2 A driving baseline and howling synths already are a match made in heaven, but Dominik Marz manages to take the track up a notch when he brings in distorted leads together slightly shuffled percussion. B1 Dominik Marz opens with straightforward percussive and melodic elements immediately catch the listeners' attention, only to surprise him when he intertwines these with another harmonic layer and triplet rhythmic elements. B2 This track comes with wonky pads and a haunty aura, slowly building up tension and eeriness. Dominik Marz manages to maintain this particularly blood-curdling atmosphere, despite the backbone of a catchy groove and steady baseline.

Our first Belters record of the year is our third outing by our man from Ausburg, Dominik Marz, and this could well be his best yet - with 4 rock solid big room hitters. These have been doing the damage with Dixon, Ame and Solomun for the past few months and recently been given some airtime by the bold Pete Tong.

New Belters straight out of Barvaria! In a nice bit of serendipity, our old pal Bostro Pesopeo (BLTRS010) introduced us to his Barvarian buddies, Dominik Marz & David Kochs. Who subsequently sent us some outstanding new music that we signed on the spot and for the first outing, we're very happy to complete the circle with a remix by Bostro himself. With early support from the likes of Ame - who has seemingly been playing the whole release - you're sure to be hearing a lot more of these youngsters in the coming years.

Tobias Schmid - Glimmer Schwarzes Kerosin
Tobias Schmid produced his latest work, “The FU EP” (AND23), during the first Corona lockdown. When pandemic control measures were announced, half of Audision’s team took it lightly and thought: “It's wonderful that this pandemic falls at a time when I'm settled down enough that I don’t have to worry about the price of a bottle of red wine anymore.” He paid a visit to Jaques’ wine depot and back at home put his feet up, cranked up the Netflix machine and let himself go for a few weeks. Another thought slowly developed, too: The pandemic might also fall at a time when you can buy clones of legendary drum machines and bass sequencers for less cash – a thought that instantly inspired him. He ordered everything he needed and later picked up the Thomann packages from his neighbour. Our hero soon realised, that no viral infection had yet set in, so nothing stood in the way of letting his ideas, beats and basslines flow freely. He disappeared into the studio... ... and this is what he came up with: A1: Acid 672?This number refers to Studio 672 in Cologne, where the legendary Total Confusion clubnights took place. Hardcore Acid purists will probably shout: “Fake!” but are quickly hooked by the autumnal strings – a Mathew Jonson and Lawrence reference from the early 2000s. A2: PVSHL-202?PVSHL-202 – is that a new drum machine’s name or a track from Aphex Twin’s lost hard disk? A Basic Channel-like dub, originally paired with a Hi-NRG bassline. The hihat work is self-quoting (well done, Audision). The track is packed with suspense – ideal for listening to while waiting for your PCR test result. B1: Acid 672 (Tensnake Quarantine Remix)? It’s nice for Tobias that he isn’t the only one in quarantine. His buddy Marco Niemerski comes round for a glass of Bordeaux and delivers an alarmist-bouncing acid-stomper, where he filters out the bass line with a skill akin to top German virologist Christian Drosten who filters out those false positive results. B2: Glimmer Schwarzes Kerosin ?A sizzling-spherical minimal track with skilful frequency management in the style of GAS’ Zauberberg or Jan Jelinek's loop finding-jazz-records. It’s also a reference to the Augsburg former nightlife and the clubs that died with it.

yandom - "Mean Motive" (Daniel Bortz remix)
YANDOM are not new to the scene. But then again – they are. The project has been kicked off by YANNICK LABBÉ and DOMINIK MARZ, already renowned producers and DJs before they decided to join forces in in January of 2017 with their remix for DEKODEKO on Leipzig-based label O*RS.
YANDOMs productions are discoid excursions to the dark side – a sound spanning from leftfield italo-esque productions to straight up techno-bangers. A sound already loved and played by artists like MICHAEL MAYER, SOLOMUN, KORNEL KOVACS and many more.
At the moment, YANDOM are working on EP’s following their next release on &ND MUSIC (scheduled for September 2017).
As DJs, YANDOM deliver an infectious and very musical freestyleapproach, dropping anything from techno to vintage classics and held together by a strong foundation of electronica. A YANDOM-set is anything but random – and yes, they do look as good in reality as on the photos. More
