Short info:
The 'industry' of dance music can be as soul-crushing as any other. Those thrills and spills of late, loud nights come with a best-before expiry date, after which even the most seasoned selector-producer-scenemaker begins to wrinkle their nose. To have experienced it all over 15+ years and seek to see it unfold again through fresh eyes, what sort of lunatic would willingly put themselves through that?
V would.
So it's a new character, but who was the mysterious V in a past life? Make your own conclusions. A little digging will lead you toward the origin story, but sometimes the pleasure comes from the unknowing. Opt to enjoy the Silence.
Silence, however, is not the focal point for V. In fact, this new form is a way to discard baggage and revitalise the process of music making. Tremors had become to show up in recent years on record labels in Glasgow and London, flickers of subterranean volcanic activity. Yet what proved to be rising was no big bang, nor even a phoenix from the ashes - but closer perhaps to a Nautilus. A relic by some standards but a pretty point of curiosity to others, slowly bobbing to the surface. Something ever-present and familiar to thousands, yet with mysteries left to be revealed.
But hey - what does V stand for anyhow?
For Vilnius? By origin and by where the heart lies, yes, although V for Vedett is also an acceptable answer given the artist's transposed second home of Belgium; so too is V for Volkswagen, given the production work put in around Frankfurt as of late.
For Vendetta? Too strong, although V does bear a grudge match against hobbyists and dilettantes. If you're going to be a new name in town, you may as well be a new name in town with years of hidden history, right?
For Vishnu? Perhaps this is the one. V's tangle of arms extend forward in many directions: some clutching 303s and LinnDrums; others pushing fingers into various pies of parties, production, deejaying and record label imprints. The full-bodied yet slow-burning chug of V's material let out the vault so far sparkle, pumping dance floor sound systems and home listening apparatus alike with vivacity.
Or perhaps for nothing Vhatsoever? It's electronic music, there to be enjoyed and not overthought. Very sorry for the minutes of your life vanquished having read this. Thankfully an option does exist, a Faustian pact of sorts, to revive the lost time and feel young again: give yourselves over to the sonic waves of V, and experience your own rebirth too.

Epic building tracks full of tension by V. V the ungoogleable, anti-SEO one-character pseudonym of someone previously known. They release their first full-length on Nautilus Rising, having previously appeared on the A side of a V / Ripperton flip for Fort Romeau & Ali Tillett's Cin Cin. Powered by percussion and basslines for the club. Yet - with their strings, cinematic instrumentation and scale - there's a sombre dance to be done to these 3 French-titled electronic tracks.

Short info:
Let’s get back to the program. Picking up from where things were left off in July 2020…
Whilst most electronic producers of the dance-floor persuasion dabbled with conducting micro-symphonies for their micro-herbs, locked inside their micro-mansions, Dreems has dusted off his dance-floor accreditations and got back to work creating some serious indoor waves for Le Temps Perdu.
The Blue Water EP has all the stuff that encapsulates the label - raw, fun, powerful and free, yet deep, loving, warm and friendly. The music carries on from the previous Shark Water and Blue Hole EPs, calling all sea monsters with Die Orangen Remix of Shark Water, later emerging in calm waters for mermaid pleasing Iñigo Vontier Remix of The Dolphin Communion, and finally swimming into the salty, acidic tones of the Blue Hole (Break Mix).
Dear water-lily enthusiast, you need fear not, there is a hearty nod to the plant-life in Something Else for Spring that grows and sprouts new life with each turning phrase and finally blossoms with a sprinkle of joy. Label head-gardener V gives it the extra push put on the dance floor with his tougher take.
You grab a copy of the vinyl at some bricks and mortar stores if you are fond of wearing your scuba suit whilst browsing the shelves, otherwise head to the regular online outlets to get this small slice of history. It contains, we feel, the best of the past 2 EPs.

Short info:
Alexander Pletnev started an entirely new journey under his own name two years ago. Release after release on forward thinking and respected labels like Media Fury, KUMP, Fleeting Wax, SZE and Hard Fist, he has built a solid discography of incredible diversity - from percussive DJ tools to viscous synthetic EBM to dreamy weirdness.
His latest EP titled Voranto Bros is a long awaited return to Le Temps Perdu and the prime example of refined musical storytelling. Title track is a cinematic tale, a sound novel about two migrant brothers hitting the shores of USA in the dawn of XXth century to became vicious gangsters, broken souls ruling the night of NYC. Dusty tape hiss, off kilter percussions and melodies all alternate to later sink under the weight of heavy drums. While Hope They Wont Come Back is a severe instrumental ballad with low drums, talking bass lines and noisy guitar riffs - five minutes inside confused man's mind.
On a remix front, Cocktail D'Amore's head honchos Discodromo strip Voranto Bros down to bear bones to deliver EBM style dance floor burner. And Harold Boué aka Abstraxion aka Lion's Drums of Biologic Records fame delivers menacing remix for Hope They Won't Come Back, a dark & mystic journey, which unwinds slowly and builds up to unexpected climax.
Vital Sales Points:
" Follow up to highly acclaimed EP's on Meda Fury, Fleeting Wax and Hard Fist
" Remix work by Discodromo and Lion's Drums
" Yet another awe-inspiring record from Le Temps Perdu

STATUE is a mysterious percussion-based structure erected by Tom Gould. It wouldn't be an overstatement to say that Opium is currently the most talked about club North of Berlin. The club has earned the admiration of local crowd, loyalty of visiting artists and respect of industry insiders by nurturing unique local talent, bringing cutting edge House & Techno acts on a weekly bases, building a devoted community and rocking the parties of the highest intensity and unprecedented intimacy. Its no wonder Boiler Room and Resident Advisor both came knocking on the door in 2017 for special features and events.
2018 marks another milestone in club's incredible journey: the first ever music compilation entitled "Opium of the People", a rock solid collection of 13 unreleased tracks by core residents and the members of extended Opium family from all around the world featuring Tel Aviv's producer and song writer Autarkic, Australia-born-Europe-bound New Age travellers Dreems and Kris Baha, Canadian smooth operator Thomas Von Party, Frankfurt's Musikmaschine Lauer, German-Mexican studio encounter of Sebastian Voigt & Theus Mago, Berlin based Spanish fashionista Hugo Capablanca, Detroit legend Sharif Laffrey and Russian crate digging trio of Leonid Lipelis, Sergey Krylow and Ilya Simonov under the name of Plungerbird x Beard in Dust. Most of them are coming to Lithuanian capital's hot spot so often, they could easily start their own fan clubs in town. The local talent also gets a well-deserved attention. Manfredas, Siaubas, Pletnev, and V find their place on the compilation and bring the modern sound of Vilnius nights to the vanguard.
"Opium of the People" has been conceived and compiled by Vidmantas "V" Cepkauskas, the head of programming and resident DJ of Opium, a well-known contributor to the electronic music scene for nearly two decades. He has reinvented a friends-to-friends after-hours place into an international music institution in a matter of six seasons and is the best candidate to curate and present "Opium of the People".

A1: St. Bones
A2: Devil's Logic
B1: St. Bones (RYOTA OPP Remix)
B2: St. Bones (Inga Mauer Remix)
Short info:
Never underestimate a quiet guy.
Soft spoken and well-mannered Alexander Pletnev moved 3 years ago from the Russian city of St. Petersburg to the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius. That has been more than enough time for him to make the city his own. A co-founder of a hip barber's shop that also hosts an improvised Vinyl second hand corner, not to mention a cozy little bar where he can be found serving a quirky selection of beers, Alex soon embraced influences filtered through the local nightlife institution 'Opium Club'. His production powerhouse Pletnev explores darker territories and far-out music lands untouched by his bright and melodic creative alter ego - Ponty Mython.
The St. Bones EP follows his well received and strongly selling offerings on Meda Fury and Bahnsteig23. The EP's two tracks, of contrasting mood and tempo, are accompanied by two top drawer remixes from the Japanese tailor of sound and taste RYOTA OPP and on-the-rise fellow St. Petersburg producer and selector, Inga Mauer.

A1: Heating Up The Voyetra (feat. Clarian)
A2: Charcoals
B1: Heating Up The Voyetra (feat. Clarian) (Statue Reconstuction)
B2: Charcoals (The Finger Prince 'Webber' Version)
Short info:
The second offering on Le Temps Perdu is all about the time spent on intercontinental travel, food, drinks and careless banter. You are kindly invited to a Multi Cultural BBQ in Australia hosted by the musical master of disguise Dreems. Featuring remix work from Finger Prince, Statue and Niagara this one is coming off the grill hot.
There isn't much more iconic than a BBQ when it comes to Australian culture. The age-old term of 'throwing another one on the barbie' may sometimes get misconceived when conversing with a foreigner but the end result is usually interesting. Dreems invites a few friends over for a backyard session and the sounds are the result of a few too many cold ones and definitely too many hot ones.
The title track 'Charcoals' would in a sense be the best way to have a BBQ or the preferably desired way to cook your goods. Nothing quite brings out the taste and the sound of a grill under the heat of some searing 'coals' prepared for a couple of hours. With drums by his homie Ccolo the whole thing takes on the essence of what a good BBQ is - friends and food.
'Heating up the Voyetra', an alternative method to cooking up some music, started off as a small impromptu jam in another backyard on another continent with Montrealer Clarian during one of those formidable cold Canadian evenings and took shape over the course of winter when venturing outside for a meal seemed impossible - most of the studio snacks were kept room temperature by setting themselves up atop the synths.
'Cooking Bananas Under A Blue Moon At Mike's' is one way to get your little fellas tasting cosmic. If you have ever been inside Mickey Moonlight's secret cavern, then you'd know where these sounds emanated from. And if you'd ever tried his BBQ'd banana, you would understand this love song dedication.
Dreems throws on his Finger Prince apron alongside chef Francis Xavier for a deeper, heavier version of the title track. And Australian percussion enthusiast Statue reconstructs the 'Voyetra' from a slo-mo acid cooker to a peak-time griller. Finally Portuguese curve-ballers Niagara step into the smoke-house for a taste test of 'Charcoals'.
Rare yet well cooked is what they say round these parts.

Short info:
Michele Mininni's Hyper Martino EP is a strange adventure in sound, the finest example of music noir and engaging story of audio science fiction.
Michele hails from South Italy and counts everything from post-punk, krautrock to new wave, house and disco amongst his influences. He's been a DJ for years but only in 2014 has released his debut Tupolev Love EP on Glasgow's Optimo Trax. He immediately found himself in the spotlight of discerning DJs and music collectors alike. After a few months he released another highly acclaimed EP entitled Endless Ceremony on Belgian label Curle. And now, after a short hiatus he returns with his latest Hyper Martino EP radiating oblique and unpredictable sounds. Remixes come courtesy of Tel Aviv's hit-assembly-line Red Axes who yet again deliver a bloody good remix, and of a reckless New Age traveller, industrial-yoga-trance guru and Australian multi culturist Dreems.Le Temps Perdu is a new label founded by Lemmy Caution, a man of mistery, a fan of steal mustangs, robot poetry and otherworldly sounds, well know across The Outlands and operating from Alphaville.
