For the 9th release on Concealed we offer you the debut EP from DDALMH, a mysterious Copenhagen based artist. Daniel Lyons (as his real name is) may be known to people on the scene as the owner of the well respected Lomidhigh imprints, but his music production have been kept in secret until recently. Daniel’s sound is a very deep, unpretentious and dubbed out kind of House Music.
On the flip side we invited Thomas Melchior to make a remix, he turns “Sun” into a timeless tripped out Deep House tune that will hypnotise any dance floor in the early morning hours. More

On "O-Pen" the focus is not to make any concept around the tracks or the album itself, but just to have ten full compositions that each have their individuality and not necessarily is the same genre or style. You'll hear more melodies again and instruments, as well as analogue drum machines and modular synths that creates the soundscape of this album. "O-Pen" is a very organic album, which includes all sounds you'd hear in the usual house & techno stuff from Martinez but also shows inspiration from more dub, ambient and even jazz influences. More

After his recent stunning "Kammsa EP" on Jay Haze's newly relaunched Contexterrior Tuning Spork label, he is on better form then ever. For his Concealed debut he delivers two strong hypnotic and dark tracks. Swirling in clever rhythmical programming and melodic undertones, these tracks will take you into another sonic dimension. On the A side "Polhammer" is the more uplifting one while the B side's "Erinyes" offers a slightly more dark and atmospheric touch. And as always keep your eyes open for the hidden gem on this 12" …. Martinez returns to Concealed Sounds and delivers a wicked two track 12" of that deep hypnotising sound that we know him for of late. This record kicks off with "The Path" a 10 min journey though sub bass, glitchy rhythms and haunting high pitched sounds. A perfect tune for that late hours on the dance floor! On the B side we find "Wigflipped" a twisted little number of minimalistic funk. Cut up voices, bleeps, broken rhythms and a light but powerful kick drum make up the foundation of this track. The kick drums SWITCHES constantly between 4/4 and breakbeat, making the main groove ever DEVELOPING. A bit into this 14 min piece some dark rhodes chords are taking over leading it forward. With its swirling and hypnotising feeling through out, its a perfect tune for the after hour. As always we have something extra hidden on this vinyl… We hope you will enjoy this 12" as much as we at the Concealed Sounds OFFICE has.

We are very proud to welcome a true talent to Concealed Sounds, no other than: Michael Melchner, who has been on our radar for a long time. Melchner's very well produced and engaging releases on label like Cargo, Love letters from Oslo, Moon Harbour and lately Paragram and DoEasy, has been played by some of the underground music scene's most respected DJ's, like for example ZIP from Perlon to know name one. Michael Melchner has also landed himself a great reputation as a DJ, thru his sets at legendary clubs like, Panorama Bar and Robert Johnson as well as being a resident at Die Rakete in his home town, Nürnberg. For his debut 12" on Concealed he delivers two deep and mystical tracks. On the A side we find the 11 min minimalistic and dubby techno journey: "Delta Ditch". The B side offers a slightly more upbeat House track, entitled: "Under the Veil. A hypnotic and mystic tune with layers of deep pads, a bubbling baseline and strong focused rhythm. Concealed Sounds return with a new 12" for 2014. This time around we have invited our friends from mysteries SYLPHE label to remix the title track by Martinez, and they delivered a monster! On the A side we find: "Consolidation (Sylphe Lydløs Dub)", were we are taken a true journey thru sound and rhythms for about 13 minutes. The remix kicks off in a kind of tracky way, with a strong focus on the irresistible groove laid down by Holdie Gawn & Micawber. After the first small breaks and manipulations to the groove, we are introduced to some very trippy modular sound design. These sounds takes the lead of the remix and forms into small melodies in a very organic way. While you can still sense the ingredient from the original track, Sylphe takes a slightly different directions and offers a good opposite to the original with their own special twist. The original version of "Consolidations" is presented on the b side of this 12". Its a dirty groove ridden track that goes on for well over 10 minutes, developing from a broken groove into a more danceable Techno pieces, with its shattering metallic sounds, bubbly baselines, deep layers of sub rhythms and lush pad chords to give it some more atmosphere. Two very different version of modern instalment in Techno music. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do… and as always there is a special hidden track on this 12".

Concealed Sounds is a brand new label from the Copenhagen based producer and DJ: Martinez. The label is set up as a platform for the more deeper shade and experimental sound of Techno and House Music. It will feature releases by Martinez himself, but also showcase some new talents as well as well known colleagues from the scene. And as the label name suggests each release will include a hidden sound, beat, groove or ambient piece. The first release comes courtesy of Martinez, and its called: Hollow EP. It starts off with a 14 minute piece of modern modular based Techno. Deep hypnotic rhythms lay down the foundation while high pitched noisy metallic sounds build over the hollow groove, before the baseline kicks in to lift everything to another level. The piece finally breaks down completely, to an almost "horror-film-soundtrack" like ambience before the groovy rhythms find their way back to bring the track to life again.
