From the moment "Daydream" from his very first vinyl release hit big in 2016 to opening his Perc Trax account in late 2018 with "Spreading Plague" I Hate Models has been building towards this moment and now it is finally here. L'Age Des Metamorphoses is not just the debut album from one of techno's most important new artists, but it also represents a key step forward for both I Hate Models himself and the fusionist techno scene he has unwittingly become a figurehead of.
I Hate Models' music has always been expansive and widescreen in its vision, but the 12 tracks and 93 minutes of L'Age Des Metamorphoses push this approach far further than ever before. Each track glides between melodic, vocal, percussive and acidic sections with ease, keeping interest high without ever dropping into locked techno loops. Just like the restless DJ style that has seen him play in clubs and festivals around the globe this album refuses to sit still for a moment, constantly twisting and turning as each track progresses to its destination, far away from the point where it started.

France's I Hate Models has had a phenomenal rise since his first releases in 2016, now he arrives on Perc Trax to serve up the label's last release of year.
Already fitting in with the label's no nonsense aesthetic after appearances at a number of label showcases this year, this EP shows a hardening of his sound, without losing any of the melodic touches that have made his releases so memorable.
The original mix of "Spreading Plague" fills the A-side of the record with a near 10 minute journey though classic Perc Trax metallic percussion, quivering acid and soaring analogue lead lines. Epic is a word not often used in relation to Perc Trax, but
here it is perfectly applicable.
On the flip side, Perc remixes the lead track, honing in on the acid and adding swarms of claps and hihats for his first new production on Perc Trax in 2018. "Martial Order" closes the EP moving the percussion to the front of the mix once again, as metallic hits rain down on the listener, delivering a fresh take on one of Perc Trax's signature sounds

26 minutes of Divine techno. Midnight Cults, the eagerly awaited sequel to last years Cyanure Dance features two epic new tracks from I Hate Models with vocal contributions from Zanias and a sleek wave remix from DJ Varsovie. On the solar side the odyssey begins. It Will Last Forever discharges a barrage of devastating, tensile beats over a swell of ethereal synths recalling the sirens - muses of the underworld, luring sailors to their deaths in a flurry of aggravated arpeggios. On the lunar side Walpurgis Night opens with a pristine, glacial sonic field, punctuated by the ricochet of beaten metal and drenched in the supernal, disembodied voice of Zanias, echoing across vast fissures, pummelling through deep ravines and back out into space. DJ Varsovie completes the journey with his sensual take on Walpurgis Night, tempering the original with an insistent pitch black funk and somnambulant new wave vocals.

As a DJ, producer, and co-founder of Arsenik, Dold has championed raw, unembellished techno since 2015. His releases on Key and Fuse blend Detroit techno's legacy with IDM's intricacy and ambient's ethereal tones, creating a style that is both timeless and forward-thinking. Legendary French DJ and producer The Hacker debuts on Radio Slave’s Rekids with the ‘Laser & Smoke’ EP on 21st February 2025. The two-track ‘Laser & Smoke’ EP harkens back to The Hacker’s early 90s roots in Detroit-inspired Electro & Techno. First, he starts with ‘Turborave’, a tasteful, bleepy cut with an unignorable bassline and muted dub chords that wash over its snappy groove. ‘Turborave’ is the kind of heads-down, lose-yourself dance?oor moment for the later hours before ‘Harmonia’ sees The Hacker play with high-voltage cables on the B-side. Charged-up zaps and zippy acid call and respond while bodied drum hits keep the rhythm moving, whistles and pads occasionally joining in. Pioneering DJ and producer The Hacker is renowned for being a leading proponent of Electroclash in the early 2000s, his Techno and EBM-infused sound, and iconic collaborations with Miss Kittin. With releases on labels like Dark Entries, Mannequin Records, and Turbo, as well as remixes for Air, Soft Cell, Dave Clarke, and Front 242, The Hacker remains a vital force in electronic music. He now adds Radio Slave’s Rekids to his extensive discography for the ?rst time via the ‘Laser & Smoke EP. Radio Slave’s Rekids was founded in 2006 and has since spawned successful o?shoots with the Techno-focused Rekids Special Projects in 2017 and its newest sublabel, REK’D, in 2024. With Matt Edwards as the sole A&R, Rekids has been crucial in developing early artist careers and has become a haven for established acts operating in House and adjacent genres, having recently featured the likes of Harry Romero, Hilit Kolet, William Kiss, Bushwacka, Mathias Kaden, Tiger Stripes, Tal Fussman, and many more.

Rod Modell & Taka Noda - Sample

GLOW WORLD is Rod Modell's new project resulting from his collaboration with Taka Noda. The duo delivers what could be an example of perfect elegance and musical refinement, but the resulting sounds are once again dirtied, ruined and ravaged by a noise capable of deafening us, sounds that come from afar, that seem to fade away but suddenly illuminate the world around us, which lands on us and which no longer belongs to us, leaving us lost in an infinite melancholy.
GLOW WORLD is a work characterized by buoyant ambient sounds from which delicate rhythmic textures emerge, and never speeding up they run along the routes of an electronic music that surely knows how to be as minimal and suffused as it is distressing. Touches of piano, slow pulsations of bass lines and constantly disturbed sounds that nevertheless almost lull the listener into listening to this timeless music, perfect for letting go, observing time inexorably slipping out of our hands forever.
Sounds that are timeless, it was said. Rod Modell and Taka Noda are visionaries, and GLOW WORLD is a rare gem. Simply another masterpiece.

Some records come from the head, others from the heart. Weltraum EP by Cara Carpaccio is a bit of both—an interstellar blend of cosmic vibes, disco roots, and a touch of robot melancholy. Born out of a time when the world felt both distant and strange, the EP channels those moments of isolation, longing, and unexpected creativity into something playful and deeply human. What started as an open-ended studio session turned into a journey guided by synthesizers we could only dream of owning, Marvin the robot’s dry wit from The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, and Cara’s love for cosmic sounds and disco grooves. The tracks came together in single evenings, capturing emotions as they unfolded.
Cara brought her energy, composing, performing, and singing her way into the stars, with Luis (aka Planet Zwo) riffing on guitar to ground it all. Marabou (Fabian) tied it together, wiring up gear, recording, and even finding a remix idea in the middle of mixing.
The result? A collection of tracks that balances nostalgia and futurism, melancholy and euphoria. Adding even more fuel to the ship are remixes from the likes of Intergalactic FM’s I-F + Gerd Janson, and Dan Tyler of the Idjut Boys.
