The last and eighth release in this series opens up with Christian Wunsch’s remix of “Ex Machina” on the A-side – which is all hypnotic bounce, roaring chords, cutting through the irrepressible groove.
Mørbeck’s remix of “Ghost Town” on A2 is an atmospheric but tough interpretation of the original, kicking hard with jackhammered drums, coupled with metal scraping metal sounds and a simplicity that makes it a handy tool to build great tension on the dance-floor. The B-side kicks off with Jonas Kopps’s remix of “Miscellaneous Pt. 1” – creatively pairing the heavy rolling 909 drums with a classic four-on-the-floor clap pattern and topped with the eroded drones of the original track. B2 is a re-mastered version of the utterly timeless and epic club hit “1969” by the mastermind Christian Morgenstern himself.

christian morgenstern - Girls Got Rhythm
The fifth release in this tribute series to the techno legend Christian Morgenstern is here. Side A kicks off with a trippy version of Morgenstern’s “Spiegelkerker”, by Konsequent label chief Maral Salmassi - a carefully set psychedelic trap, building up gently just to drag you through its tunnelling groove, inside the eye of the hurricane. TWR72’s remix of “Ex Machina” on B1, merges the interlocking samples of the original in a vortex, spiral around the pounding kick, rolling right into the heart of the Milky Way.The final track, a remastered version of Morgenstern’s “Girls Got Rhythm” sets the pace, with a dense groove and pounding beats, accenting a colourful cluster of house elements, with streams of sparkling metallic percussion.

christian morgenstern - Lydia To The Edge Of Panic
Ep number four of this series of eight remastered tracks with remix-tributes to the techno legend Christian Morgenstern is here, and kicks off with D_func’s remix of “Steigreider” on side A. Creating a warm grayscale atmosphere, the track is carried by a heavy sub kick groove that’s saturated with the modern industrial energy that proves Kowalski’s skills as a techno craftsman. As a contrast, Jeroen Search’s remix of Aces High on B1 is a more minimal interpretation, carried by a slowly developing beat and playing skillfully with the most recognisable elements of the original. The final track, a remastered version of Morgenstern’s Lydia To The Edge Of Panic is a timeless classic, painting a Morgenstern-typical distant and dream like landscape and opening up into a widescreen chord progression, with an epic build up.

christian morgenstern - Herz aus Stahl
The third release in this series opens up with Fanon Flower’s remix of “Be Good To Me” on the A-side, and has everything we love about Fanon’s signature sound - an industrial rave-stomper that provides a heavy 909 beat topped with mercilessly propelling Chicago-style claps. The B-side kicks off with Henning Baer’s remix of “Visco Space Saves The World” - a super trippy and minimal interpretation of the much more heavy original, which was a raw and gloomy industrial monster with a bold noize overload. Its progression changes build up neatly but peak in an epic spiral break down that shatters the soul. B2 is a remastered version of “Herz aus Stahl” by the mastermind Christian Morgenstern himself, presenting an upfront, sinister Electrofunk monster that attacks with waves of synth menace straight from its metallic robocop-heart.

The second release in this series starts with the heavily supressed and hypnotic energy of Efdemin’s Spiegelkerker remix on side A. Creating a dreamlike atmosphere, the track is carried by a slowly developing beat that keeps you totally engaged as it floats along. As a contrast, Psyk’s remix of Miscellanous Pt.7 on B1, with its classic 909 drum appeal and engrossed pad harmonies, creates a very deep classical vibe worthy of a Black Dog reference. The final track, a remastered version of Morgenstern’s Return Of The Living Deaf presents its pleasantly over-funked snare programming and build-ups that forge “true techno” eclecticism and dance floor functionality into one mighty laser sword of a track. Limited to 300 copies.

The first release in this series of eight remastered tracks with remix-tributes to the techno legend Christian Morgenstern is here. Side A kicks off with Distant Echoe’s subtle and dark vision of Miscellaneous 10, followed by B1 with Mistake Made’s remix of Steigrider. The former gives us a more minimalistic version of Morgenstern’s original track that lulls and hypnotizes, while the latter takes us on a ride with saturated, pounding kick drums that pummel through an enchanted forest but wraps up melodiously in a signature Morgenstern way. The final track gives us the re-mastered original version of All Night Dancing, which even after 15 years is utterly timeless - sending shivers through the spines of even the most cynical techno lovers. It is the very essence of Morgenstern, showcasing his melodic strength, style-conscious mixing techniques, and epic background atmosphere that will command both underground bunkers and booming main floors alike. Additionally, the Digital release comes with a bonus Remix Of Miscellaneous 6 by CTRLS, pairing the hyperactive energy of striking drum sounds with the strung-out and driving pizzicato of the original sample.
