Greek producer and electronic music activist Echonomist has been releasing distinctive and quality house music for years now, on esteemed labels France's Time Has Changed or his own co-run VIP label. An infectious blend of deep house fused with techy modern production has landed the up and coming producer on Steve Bug's Dessous imprint with this, his debut EP for the label, featuring the vocal talents of Berlin based upstart Mz.Sunday Luv.
Lead track 'Real Love' comes in various forms, the original being a vintage styled classic house jam, infused with Sunday's truthful treatise about love in all its forms. Echonomist's solid beats, Chicago bassline and dramatic snare rolls make this a real showstopper. The track is then revisited in a more East Coast slow jam style, full of lovingly produced details and warm summertime synth goodness.
Flemish talent San Soda reworks 'Real Love' into a real late night burner, bringing in a more European electronic vibe with heavy bass and climbing dramatic synths. Perfect for the floor and the heavier moments, it complements the original's more old school aesthetics perfectly.

DJ T. gave us his fine album, The Pleasure Principle last winter. Since then T's given controls to top producers for high grade remixes. This time Daniel Bortz, Clockwork and DJ T. himself take on 'Leavin' Me feat. Khan'.
Jump right into things with the Clockwork remix, a sweet blend of house-party amience and maintime club sensation. The rhythm alone could keep us dancing for hours, that mixed with the itchy bassline and arousing vocals, ensure that no one is feeling anything else. Clockwork delivers a solid remix, more than worthy of 'Leavin Me'.
The B side shows Daniel Bortz's remix in full view. Right away, a full beat pulling you into the rhythm, building to the entrancing chord play. The vocal lines give a sensual tone to the mix,. Neovinyl label crew gets set to unleash the debut Ep of his brand new label called GOOD RATIO MUSIC. With a main concept offering intimate music only created by artists who try to find his very own course in creativity. This excited first release starts with "Money Ep" from Chasing Kurt, a newborn deephouse project from Gießen / Germany. Collaboration between Pascal Blanché, Wojtek Kutschke and Lukas Poloczek. Who wants to make music coming deeply from their feelings, simply emotions.

Darkness Falls are the enchanting new Danish rock duo fresh from the ever-expanding Copenhagen music scene. The fruitful partnership of vocalist and keyboard player Josephine Philip, and Ina Lindgreen - guitar and bass - already brought us their first stunning EP‚Darkness Falls' released in March 2011.
Discovered by visionary producer Anders Trentemøller, Darkness Falls now announce their debut full length album - ‚Alive In Us' - which is also produced by Trentemøller.
A perfect modern fusion of melancholic melodies, 60s guitar twangs, haunting atmospheres and spaced-out pop, the long player whisks us away to a not-so-distant land of bitter-sweet harmony and musical contemplation.
The reverb-drenched debut-EP ‚Darkness Falls' set the tone for the band's laid-back filmic qualities and exceptional song-writing. Thus the album continues, with rich guitar sounds, subdued percussion and lush harmonies.
‚100 Meter Mind Dash' eases us further into the calming drone-scape of their magical song world, while the mysterious sci-fi tones of ‚The Void' confirm that the album is unstoppably infectious. Ever-changing and developing, epic future-rock meets achingly majestic shoegaze in ‚Night Will Be Dawn'. Josephine's powerful vocals climb a velvet-carpeted stairway into psychedelic explorations as this 6 minute triumph unravels.
In the slow-motion unwind of ‚Josephine' dark and filtered pianos chime through misty scandinavian coastlines before a transformation flips the song into a groovy bass-heavy neo-disco montage. This is one of the tracks where the project really shines through - not afraid to mix genres and themes in a diverse and bold new sound!
In wonderful contrast, title track ‚Alive In Us' beams out positive energy in a rousing round-up of the band's instrumental talents. Shining synths and yet more cavernous reverb hold this sweet number in the finest of lights. An ode to musical generations past, present and future.
A love of classic 60s guitar sounds can be found throughout, with all the twang and spring of those classic rock'n'roll days, yet tracks like ‚Paradise Trilogy II' transform the tone into a new instrument entirely, as it becomes fused with heavenly voices and dreamy washes of texture.
Once again contrasting, yet quickly fitting in as part of an expertly considered work, ‚Time Line' merges electronic elements and rougher edges with the darker corners of Darkness Falls. In the same zone, the stomping ‚Before The Light Takes Us' ups the urgency and brings a more raucous attitude to the album's often more gentle exterior. ‚Hey!' is also a lively affair, centered on a foreboding lyric caught up amongst a whirlwind of guitar and synths in a truly wonderful moment of modern song-writing.
And so as the album draws to a close the haunting ‚Paradise Trilogy III' lifts us away completely into the windy Danish landscape where the magic once began.

NYC's Adultnapper is well known for his freaky beat science and unique production skills. Last year's collaboration with Mr.C in their Sycophant Slags project saw the talented musician taking a more pop approach to club culture, and now he continues on his own mission with the inspired ‚Idiot Fair'. A plot of modern angst and frustration, the song tells the story of a frustrated soul as he pushes on through a disconnected world.
Stretching out over 9 minutes ‚Idiot Fair' is a playful, dubby house joint characterised by smooth rolling bass, jazzy piano touches and an addictive vocal from up and coming vocalist Black Light Smoke. Spacious, calm and complete, it's a great slice of modern Dub House, with quite a message behind it!
Hamburg based producer and Diynamic label regular H.O.S.H reworks ‚Idiot Fair' into a more techy outing, with spongy bass pongs and kinetic percussion leading a perfectly lazy low-slung bassline track. Plenty of the vocal appears in this clever re-telling of the story.

‘Cutlass’ is the 12? that precedes ‘Sword’ Xhin’s forthcoming full-length album on Stroboscopic Artefacts. Four tracks from the album have been selected and spliced into completely new forms by four producers with very separate agendas. The minds, computers and analogue tools of Surgeon, Dadub, Pfirter and Perc have extracted new visions from Xhin’s ‘Sword’ with nothing short of scientific precision. A cutlass just like a sword but with a slightly curved blade, and accordingly the way that Surgeon, Dadub, Pfirter and Perc cut into these tracks is experimental and left of the centre. The four producers’ remixes uncover latent facets of ‘Sword’, adding not just anticipation to the release of Xhin’s album, but also widening the scope of Stroboscopic Artefacts’ soundscape.

Dionne and Julius Steinhoff had an enormous success with their "Meadows" EP together with Christopher Rau on Smallville in last year's autumn. Music is about passion, not competition. In this spirit the Something vinyl series continues again with another STL record in his diy do-what-you-wanna-do style, including 3 house tracks aswell as a astro-science thrilling farspace interlude and loop introductions. The ascetic elements on this ep are the result of an isolated one man musical universe, where the love and passion for sound research is perhaps the strongest driving force behind the machines output. A bit of squelchy mircowave-acid, some sunny analog sequences and someting that seems to come out of a lovely b-movie track, where humanoids moving death proof onto the dancefloor feeling addicted to the groove. Something 18 is probably that kind of vinyl which can be enjoyed the most when the time has come to loose yourself and let things flow into the positive. The rapidly evolving scene that's happening out in Russia allows for the kind of collaboration between artists of highly different fields, as is the case here. Arram Mantana, Tripmastaz and Roustam are three producers of different ilk, who have joined in this Special Case for their debut EP out soon on Souvenir Records.
The A-side somehow manages to retain a melodic, minimal house sensibility that is then thrown into hyperdrive by a looping ragga sample. This one's useful either for after-hours hypnosis with its bass wobble, or pitched up, peak time apocalypse. 'Bollyhood' is the kind of confused tech-house whose faint vocal whisperings are always the most effective earworms the day after.
The B-side is no slouch, the shimmering keys of 'Psy-Baba' reminiscent of something out of 'I Dream of Jeannie' playing off against an oscillating beat until the familiar vocal sample drifts in. It's fitting enough, with the groove ripping along to a squelchy, acid bassline and gurgling synths washing over it all.
