The vocal loop on top draws you deep into the vortex of nested percussion, african melodies und thick baselines. Thistrack will never let you go - like Moebius' Band. Its main theme will stay in your head for a very long time. It will shake your hips after you left the dancefloor. And it will escort you on your way home after you've left the club. Cesar Merveille first joined the Cadenza team in 2009 with the outstanding ep .Descarga', produced alongside fellow artist Pablo Cahn and garnering high critique from industry and public alike. A well known and much loved figure within Candenza's Vagabundo's ensemble and equally the international club circuit, it is with great pleasure that Cadenza welcome Cesar for his debut solo release on the label. .Maayancholy' is a beautiful and heart wrenching record, showcasing the delicate and fiercely musical palette of the French producer. Introducing with shimmering open cymbals; light and airy they rustle simultaneously and offer diversity via their multiple manipulation. Unsettled and sporadic, they splash throughout the remainder of the piece in an ethereal manner, casting light over delicate Steinway piano keys and stabbing muted chord sequences. Argentinean artist Guti composed the aforementioned piano, his jazz and pianist training clearly used to full degree on .Maayancholy' with simplistic singular key arrangements and piercing chord sequences. As the ascending chords rise, they dance magically alongside the pitter patter of percussive drums in a stripped back and raw demeanour. .Maayancholy' effortlessly lays bare the emotive side of Merveille through this ambient and surprising track. Luciano picks up the remix duty for with a 16 minute interpretation. As condensed cymbals and piano chords are electronically warped, urgency prevails and groove sets in, securing Luciano's twisted version as the perfect companion for the simplistic original. Pace quickened and intensity sharpened, Luciano demonstrates the clear dance floor attributes within .Maayancholy' in an electronic
reinterpretation fit for the floor.

Jeremy Glenn's “New Life" EP is filled will sun-drenched euphoria, it comes bearing soul, embraces Jeremy's natural pop sensibilities and celebrates the underground scene that’s shaped him as a DJ. The title track takes us down to the beach with it's 90's pads and thumping bass line to hang out with Mitch Buchanan, “Found a Love” reminds us of a rare vintage cut that The Revenge or Jacques Renault dig up (check that acid line!) while “Overtime” oozes of Prince. Alex Barck of Jazzanova also rolled out a cheeky feel good remix of “New Life”. It's sure to make you grab a partner, throw them into a twirl or two and play an air bass guitar. Already Jeremy Glenn has shared the decks with James Murphy, Tensnake and Andy Butler as well as performing live alongside Dam-Funk, Aeroplane, and Alexander Robotnick. Open the curtain for the next trick from the Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra: For the last year the team have been busy refuting the notion that the DJ is a One-Man-Band in the booth… Tom Clark, Todd Bodine, Philip Bader, Dale and Daniel Dreier are an act that combines all their many and
varied qualities into one pot, stirring vigorously and serving up a hearty dish that goes straight to the hips! They have proven many times with their live performance that the musical ingredients are just right – and have also put the evidence on the record with an original EP. Now comes the follow up. The first track “Way Too Far”, is a Live recording which evokes an atmosphere of urban beats and pulsating flashes just behind the eyes and a dancing crowd who appear to sink deep into the dance floor. Then there’s a complete chance of scene for the second track “The Other Night”, that appears to hijack the veranda of a villa in the American South. Crisp rhythms are backed by muffled thumping beats, a trumpet laments, a sexy sleep-talking emerges in gentle piano sounds. This is Southern passion under the disco ball, cleverly approximated
by the Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra!

With a sound born in New York, ripened in London and refined in Berlin, Margaret Dygas is an artist whose sound possesses a true international resonance. Born and raised in Poland, at age 11 Margaret and her family moved to Germany, before finally relocating to San Jose, California. Surrounded by old school hip-hop as a teenager, her discovery of house music came in the early nineties following a move to New York in order to study fashion at the renowned Fashion Institute of Technology.
Captivated by the British dance scene, Margaret moved to London in the summer of 1999. Becoming a regular fixture on London's electronic music scene, Margaret went on to play clubs that included fabric, The End and Herbal, holding a residency at AKA for Underline's label night.
It was following her move to Berlin that Margaret started producing and writing her own music. After her debut release, "Day After" (for Jay Haze's label Contexterrior), Margaret followed with the "See You Around EP", released in 2008 on Non Standard Productions and the "Invisible Circles" 12" for Perlon (2009).
2010 marks the release of Margaret's first full-length album "How Do You Do". Released on Japan's PowerShovelAudio, the album is inspired by the book 'Peoplewatching', a guide to body language by British zoologist Desmond Morris.

Bermuda is a rare project from Kimmo Oksanen and Roberto Rodriguez. Fusing synthed out deep house and disco vibes the talented pair have crafted a real blast from the past with the super cool retro styled ‚Ihasama‘.
The release comes in three fantastic versions. Firstly the thrilling Nacho Marco Remix fuses 80s vibes with a modern approach as he twists the original‘s synths into an old school jacking house jam! The ‚Extended Club Music Edit‘ sees Oksanen and Rodriguez open up the energy levels with a more discofied, running mix. Subtle key changes and some genius instrumentation really bring this mix to life, as its rousing synthlines do the business.
Finally up and coming UK producer Jay Shepheard reinterprets Ihasama into a funky, light hearted jam that‘s perfect for the summer sun. Soft strings rise and fall before a walking bassline brings it back it back home. More great work from this growing talent!

Here comes the first vinyl EP of Niko Schwind's just released album "Good Morning Midnight". This release does not only feature three of the best tracks of the album, but also an exclusive remix by house wonderboy David August, who does not cease to amaze with his retro-yet-contemporary vision of house music. But first things first: Enter Niko Schwind, 31-producer and DJ, whose now second album on Still vor Talent describes his musical transition from minimal tech-house to soulful house music and follows a clear musical trajectory that views house music from many angles, from pop-infused vocal to more techie dancefloor kicks. On this vinyl EP things start out with "Midnight" that is best described as a percussive tech-house track that features some pretty wasted vocals, stomping bass sounds and pizzicato strings. Overall, a real unique track that is sure to set the floor on fire. Next up is "Shine", which slowly pulsates through a very prolific oldschool baseline, some great vocal samples and a wonderful piano melody. Over to the flip is "Wake Up" that will work the floor with a percussive and very funky tech-house approach that includes some real vintage organs. Then, it's over to David August who has produced an exclusive remix of the album opener "Good Morning" that features the voice of Fran. While the original is a slow moving track, David has put his magic fingers on the track and turned it into a wonderfully emblematic 90s house track that has all the appeal and energy of that time, while still being very 2011 indeed. A deep and chunky bass, jazzy hi-hats, finger snapping and some great vocoder effects on the original vocal make this one truly stand out. Wonderful work by David! This EP is the perfect first collection of Niko's album for the club dancefloor in mind.

Once again, with spring, comes another addition to Vakant’s fruitful and ever expanding family. We welcome the man formally known as Cesare vs. Disorder, for the first time releasing under his given name Cesare Marchese. In such a short period of time, Cesare has amassed quite a discography and legion of fans around the world who follow him wherever he goes. Yet another formally trained musician in the Vakant camp, Cesare’s music has progressed a great deal since his first release in 2006. Every release drips with more and more depth and melody. His Aether EP debut for Vakant yet again proves why Cesare’s accent is unstoppable. While just a 4 track ep, the Aether EP covers much ground spanning afterhour afternoons to indie influenced incorrigibility, but always with that certain kink and freak that comes from a background of techno and global trotting nightlife revelry. To say deep and freaky would not be enough. To say anything would not be enough. These are tracks that must be experienced and not written about.
