After their first big "Things I Didn't Mean" EP on Dirt Crew back in 2013 the Cali boys Urulu & Steve Huerta teamed up again for another release full of bliss Deep House cuts. Both relocated to Berlin last year and have since then been extremely busy with their solo output on labels like "Let's Play House", "Needwant", "Shabby Doll" and Urulu's own imprint "Amadeus".
Here they are giving us a clean cut of both their styles, combined it is truly an all original blend of deep and raw House music. The A side features two club bangers while the B side explores the deeper side of things with more laid back vibes and dubbed out jazzy elements. One of our personal favourites is the irresistible D.E.G.L. that best describes the "Urulu & Huerta" Sound. All in all the guys managed to deliver a well rounded package with all elements a good EP needs.
We are quite sure this new release will be a great follow up to their successful first EP that Became a Dirt Crew Classic and one of our best selling tracks ever.

A long-standing veteran of Josh Wink's Ovum imprint, the 'In Walks Bourbon' EP marks MANIK's fifth offering to the label and maintains the high quality we've come to expect from an artist who is comfortably at the top of his game right now. The EP consists of a trio of raw, chunky, house-influenced cuts which show M A N I K diving back in to the underground sounds of his New York roots with a taste of Chicago. The A side track "Wink KD" lures the listener in with its catchy groove and hypnotic vocal sample. The breakdown sees the track take a turn as Chris introduces and infectious acid bassline, perhaps an ode to label owner Josh Wink. On the B side we find the title track 'In Walks Bourbon" Chris smooths things out here, coming with a more head bobbing groove. Don't let that fool you as the track builds and builds with a rolling bass coming in that takes the track into overdrive. The EP closes on the jacking 'House Cut 2, Chris keeps the energy up with catchy synth stabs and various vocal samples. The snappy percussion keeps the track driving leading to a frenetic build.. An perfect finish to an extremely versatile EP; there's undoubtedly something for everyone in this package.

With 'Iyewaye', the first solo-EP after the release of his fifth album 'I am OK' last year, Oliver Koletzki shows himself in a new, but not altogether unfamiliar light: since his breakthrough in 2005 with 'Der Mückenschwarm' Koletzki hasn't sounded this hard.
Gone is the pop-angle, replaced by a dark sound-aesthetic and raw energy. But even here, in the Techno realm, Oliver Koletzki demonstrates his inimitable sense for melody: thus, the gloomy and driving framework of 'Iyewaye' is lit up by a crystal-clear synth-sequence. Similarly, 'Ipuza', which hypnotizes by way of reduction and repetition, is funky in its core thanks to a rolling tribal groove. Functional, but with heart and soul.

HVOB: Trialog
HVOB present their second album as an interdisciplinary work of art: ten physical processes are reflected in interactive installations, visuals and sounds. With their successful debut album ('HVOB', 2013) and five EPs, HVOB have crafted a unique panoply of sound: intelligent and driving, challenging and melodic. 'Trialog', the second album by the producer duo Anna Müller and Paul Wallner, will be releases on April 17th.
I. Project
Above all, 'Trialog' is an interdisciplinary art project, comprising a discourse between the disciplines of sound, video and installation, realised by HVOB, the VJs licherloh and the visual artist Clemens Wolf. The theme centres on ten ubiquitous physical processes, which are being documented and interpreted interactively on three artistic levels; via Clemens Wolf's orchestrated processes, the lyrics and sounds of HVOB's tracks, and the visuals by VJs lichterloh.
II. Album
Tearing, mixing, bursting, melting, oxidising, breaking, imploding, etching, bending, burning, track to video, video to artwork, artwork to track: 'Trialog' depicts the transformation of ten physical processes in ten tracks. HVOB's sound distinctively shapes the album, yet the duo now interpret their acoustic palette in darker, more accentuated, techno-leaning shades. Each of the ten tracks pursues its own individual dramaturgy: the opener 'Azrael' tears apart its built-up percussive tension, 'Clap Eyes' inches along frailly, 'The Anxiety to please' deepens and condenses until it implodes. References, inspirations and associations between materials, processes and artistic disciplines create an artistic depth, which renders the album a highl complex and complete work of art.
III. Band
Within the space of three years, HVOB have not only established themselves within the international music scene by way of their releases, but also as a live-act. The duo strictly plays live and invariably performs with a drummer. HVOB played in 20 countries in the past year alone; at CTEMF in Cape Town, the Berlin Festival or SXSW in Austin. The conceptual framework of 'Trialog' will also be translated into a live-show. In dialogue with lichterloh and Clemens Wolf, HVOB have developed an audio-visual experience, which they're presenting globally this year. Next to Europe, dates in Central and North America, Africa and Asia are already confirmed.

After over six years in the Dutch techno scene Kevin Arnemann is beginning a new chapter in his career. The time has arrived for Arnemann to give back to the scene through the launch of his own record label, Taped Artifact, this April.

Together with graphic designer Daan Kemp, they have created a platform that transcends the conventional boundaries of record labels today. This project will focus on visual art in addition to quality and top-notch music. The foundation of this label is built off of personal and artistic expression as well as limitless experimentation that will stimulate all human senses. This unique venture will give the freedom to its contributors to move freely through all fields of creativity and innovation.

In addition to Arnemann's productions, Taped Artifact will feature releases from a selection of artists that think outside the box and are not confined by genre. The main focus for this label is to allow the artists to focus on incorporating aesthetics with atmospheric and profound sounds that will capture the attention of listeners around the world.

The first release will come from Kevin Arnemann himself. Known for his uncompromising techno sets, this release will showcase his deeper side by delivering three profound excursions. The 'Lumière EP' will hit stores on both vinyl and digital download on April 13.
