Our little Dirt Crew sub label Spiel started out in late 2013 with three excellent releases, the first two by "Clancy" featuring remixes by "Urulu" and "Prins Thomas" followed by a stellar EP from "Mercury". After a hiatus SPIEL
is back for 2016. Renewed and inspired we have a bunch of both fresh faced and established artists on board packing quality releases for the year. With sounds spanning from Indie Dance and Electronica to Disco and spaced out Balearic jams, we're proud to present you the first of our outings for 2016.

First up is close friend and rock solid producer "Good Guy Mikesh". Out of Leipzig, Germany, he's the guy with the Perfect pitch, forward thinking ideas, an impressive discography of 12"s to his name, and a huge range of influences from funk and soul, to 80's new wave electro and back again. He's come to the table with four tracks we've been busting to share with you.

'Whim' is the steady builder. Spacious and very much alive with sliding leads and layers of analogue synths that sparkle, it's melancholic bliss, it's a deep breath inducing, dance floor lifting, thought provoking piece of beauty. 'Why Not' is something deeper, the bass slips and slides dancing with the top line, while a palette of plucked strings, tuned percussion and Mikesh's signature synth soundscapes reach into the distance as the track continues to roll.

On the B side, 'Cookie' is joyful, its playful keys and poolside energies toast to warm weather and good times. Bouncing arpeggios lead the charge in the break, rising before giving way to euphoric synthetic strings which lead us back into the elated refrain. 'Corone' hints towards Mikesh's disco history, boasting a burly bass and a funk all of its own, this indie dance shaker's got a solid groove and vibe to spare.

A listening pleasure and a dance floor treat, Mikesh's far reaching and assured musical vision is inescapable on this record. The perfect welcome back for SPIEL.

Track list: A In & Out B1 The Session B2 Hommage
This is already the third release for our little baby S P I E L and as we are on a constant search for the more leftfield and not so Deep House esque Dance Music it was a very happy surprise to find an amazing demo in our mail box by the Swiss Indie Dance/ Electronic duo Mercury. The Bern based act already made a name for themselves by releasing on the great Gomma label and by doing remix work and collaborations with people like Robert Owens, Byron Stingily, Tom Trago, Munk and Two Door Cinema Club. These three new tracks are a well crafted mix of Electro, Disco, House and Deep Techno. The A side „In & Out“ is an irresistable dance floor monster build around a very cool vocal sample, the dark and cold electro feel of this track combined with the warm soulful vocal makes this a very special House tune. On the B side Mercury picks up the tempo and shows us their more Techy side on the bouncing „The Session“. The haunting vocals and sharp techno beats make this a real banger of a track. To close it off the slower and darker „Hommage“ gives tribute to the 808, 303 and 909 machines... in a true Detroit Electro kind of way.

We are very excited to announce our new Dirt Crew sub label „S P I E L“ and more so our brand new artist „Clancy“ who will do the first release on our new imprint, this also being his Debut EP. We started the new label to focus even more on different genres in the dance music world than we already did with Dirt Crew Recordings. So you will not only find your Deep House here but also some more genre crossing styles of music in the Indie Dance and Nu-Disco field. Clancy is a young Producer from Manchester now living in London that only just started to break through. He
already did a remix for „Little Dragon“ that got a lot of praise and is close to reach 100K plays on his Soundcloud page. His music is very uplifting and a great mix of UK House and more Nu-Disco like flavours. Pure „Good Times“ on the Dance Floor.
