Is it Balearic drop a 10' slice of acid house perfection from one of the true masters of the genre in 'Foolish' Felix Dickinson! "Ousana" grows slowly over a driving house beat as warm synth pads and synth leads take the track along nicely with a subtle acid line until the bassline drops. A vocal refrain joins the groove seductively cooing 'I want to take you home' over the acid layers that develop in deeply hypnotic fashion. Straight into the basement. On the flip Coyote take the tempo down, bring out the percussion and create a Balearic acid stomper. Bleeps dubbed out vocals all swirl around the percussive rhythms then the acid line drops subtle and reminiscent of a certain acid house classic. Early doors or at the beach bar for this mix.

After a successful debut last year on Redux the Machete Savane duo are back with two new tracks, gracing Felix Dickinson's Cynic label with the double A sided 12" Widowmaker / Afterburner. Lead track "Widowmaker is a pumping psychedelic rock disco power piece that has been doing the business to dancefloors all summer for the select few who have managed to get their hands on it. Driving bass and rock chords layered with arpeggiators and finished off with a sublime keyboard solo from Matt Watson. "Afterburner" is a house remake of "Widowmaker", although it's so far removed you'd not recognise it as such. It still has the same late night vibe, but more stripped back and electronic, with tinges of acid. Both tracks received support from the likes of Tim Sweeney/Beats In Space, Lee Douglas (TBD) and Simon Lee (Faze Action).

Felix Dickinson and Jamie Read's revitalized L.H.A.S. Inc project return to the former's Cynic label with Losing My Innocence. In original form, L.H.A.S. Inc present a blue eyed slo mo acid side to their collective palette that demonstrates some notable diversity and a capacity for song writing. Complementing this is a dub from Dickinson in his Foolish Felix guise and two self styled 'swamp outs' from South London's finest Cage & Aviary.

'Foolish' Felix Dickinson's superb CYNIC label land a repress of this much sought after UK Acid classic ! This release is finally getting a very limited re-press. Dusk Till Dawn is an old school acid house slammer reminiscent of tracks like Mike Dunn’s ‘Let It Be House’ and Armando’s ‘151’. 808 Drums and double 303 acid lines combined with pitched down vocals. Played by everyone from Larry Heard to Mark Archer. Liquid Soul Drops is a more modern weirdo slow-mo acid jam as championed by Andy Weatherall.

Foolish' Felix Dickinson's superb CYNIC label with another hot one ! Cynic’s latest release features another killer track from L.H.A.S. Inc. (Jamie Read and Felix Dickinson).
Analogue synths and vintage drum machines rock along with an infectious old school style reminiscent of the early sounds coming from Chicago and New York in the late 80’s early 90’s.
Think Clubhouse meets Nu Groove. On the B side Phoreski (Felix’s fellow resident at London’s Bad Passion) delivers a remix that takes the track to another level, darker haunting synths and a robo vocal asking, ‘Do you like the way you feel, will you dance with me’. More

Mysterious newcomer Jamie Blanco displays a clear skill in assembling the kind of raw, atmospheric late 80's Chicago House so close to our hearts - the kind of late night jams which can just as easily roll in and out of string drenched Disco cuts as they can moments of strobe-lit intensity. Beautifully executed, and another sureshot from Cynic !
