while all four tracks hit hard, its difficult to really pick a winner amongst the Sweeping pad's and heavy Bassline's the two provide in each of these brilliant cuts of classic dub techno. Each song serving as a dangerous tool, provides a different emotion and aesthetic while remaining true to the labels musical ethos of delivering killer dance floor records. These young Venezuelans have proven once again that they're a force to be reckoned with with utter class.

‘A Mental Process’ unveils Moreon & Baffa’s fluid and organic house style for the Visionquest imprint after releasing on the Vision Quest Special Edition vinyl series in 2013 they are back with two great remixes from Ion Ludwig & Deadbeat. ‘Penzar’ is a bubbling broth of dubby beats while ‘Idea’ is a seething and intricate being, best heard loud and up close. Remixes come from Ion Ludwig and Deadbeat, both acclaimed for their refined and textured dance music style that complements this release perfectly. Gustavo Romano & Emidio Falconi are Moreon & Baffa. Originally from Venezuela, America, they relocated to Barcelona in 2011. They have been close friends since the turn of the century, tirelessly working with the underground electronic scene in their home country - one a producer in the only 100% underground dance music radio show and the other a sound engineer and member of one of the most influential trip-hop, experimental bands in Latin America, Sur Carabela/ Chucknorris. Ion Ludwig has been releasing his epic soundscape music characterized from its underground minimalism on labels such a Trelik, Quagmire and Tabla and is renowned for being one of the most distinctive producers and live acts around. Deadbeat is Scott Monteith, who has been releasing dub laden minimal electronics on labels such a Wagon Repair, BLKRTZ and Echocord since the turn of the century.

After a long period of significant changes, comes a release that will set a mark on the label, in this pack the tempo has risen up, the usual chords, delays & reverbs this time evoke (till a certain point) an almost extinct sound where techno and trance manage to go hand in hand in a stylized and subtle way that in today´s field is hard to find. This release, aside from being the artist's first solo reference, also marks an evolution of the label's sound towards new horizons without losing the essence that has characterized the brand from the beginning.
