A record that embodies the spirit of community that has been fostering the Parisian crowd for over 3 years and that is now reaching a new level, both socially and artistically. The Parisian scene has grown from a sparkle to an organised community of like-minded people, so has the relationship between those two bad boys, and we are proud to crystallise this wild energy on wax.

Operating as a new series to his longstanding dement3d imprint, founded back in 2011 alongside co-founder hbt, the project will serve as a cultural platform for artists to share visions and expansive productions not confined within the worlds of house and techno, enabling the freedom to explore genres across the electronic sphere. This approach stems from Francois X' own personal approach to music production and djing, with a key emphasis on warm, emotive and sensual cuts at its core. The inaugural ep comes from Francois X with the four tracks featured on '001' bridging the gap between his earlier and forthcoming work as well as his future vision for the imprint, incorporating broken arrangements, captivating soundscapes, and immersive textures to reveal a warmer, more house-focused side to x's sound across slower, entrancing tempos. Whilst zoumenou's productions remain centred around his own personal vision of the night, highlighted by the track titles across the package, the cuts explore and delve deep into the idea of open expression within landscapes heightened through the sense of both obscurity and mystery, returning back to ideas explored within his IRREGULAR PASSION LP released in 2018.

Coldgeist's music on Unknown Bodies is an intimate reinterpretation of coldwave, techno and dark ambient codes, uttered with strength, guts, and an underlying romantic soul. Inspired by nocturnal runs of "bosozoku" bikers clans, who stem from this japanese subculture of the late seventies ; Coldgeist has created a series of soundscapes and songs that evoke speeding through foggy nights and fluorescent lights. Haunting repetitions and stiffness of the rhythms as a metaphor of mechanical gestures, of bodies turned into units of consumption, stranded from the life and passion they crave. The frustration of a youth that only finds relief in extreme experiences, danger, and the sexual tension of speed and crashes. With analog and digital instruments, field recordings but also his own voice and songs, Coldgeist has bred a truly unique record.

At night, things get a lot more unpredictable. A stranger can become a friend, you suddenly become intimate with a woman or a man who's name you will never find out, while darkness also allows you to conceal your true identity - even become someone else. Inspiration for this album emanates from the fascination towards the intensity of what nightlife has to offer ; euphoria and melancholy, spotlights or incognito, sexual contact or lonely voyeurism... Francois X entertains the listener with playful ambiguity and unsettling, yet sensual atmospheres.

Two years after his latest solo appearance on DEMENT3D, Francois X, also co-founder of the label, reveals his new EP Unicorn Paranoia. A record that sounds slightly more intimate indeed, after a period marked by close collaborations, especially with Opuswerk (Hiss:1292) and Antigone (We Move As One).

The long awaited debut EP of Francois X on DEMENT3D. Francois X is a hard worker. Never tired of trying new experiences and starting new initiatives to focus on his energy. Since 2008 he's been constantly involved in developing DEMENT3D. First as a DJ, then co-running the label, and more recently, remixing Polar Inertia, releasing his collaborative project with Opuswerk - Hiss : 1292 - (by the way, second Hiss EP is on its way...). Given all this history, it is only high time for him to unleash some of his black magic upon us, with his first full-blown EP since September 2011 (and that mighty Marcel Dettmann Remix) on the beloved Deeply Rooted imprint. Much like hundreds of techno records that we love, Francois subtly weaves a canvas of very personal links between sound treatments and life events, time decay and society, spatialization and science-fiction, rumble and voodoo tribe rituals, and delivers some very powerful moments of raw and gritty music. We're ver y happy to let one of the two people we call ''boss'' share his music and vision, hope you'll lose yourself on this one as much as we have.

This is the long awaited comeback of the gang of five - dscrd - to their first home - DEMENT3D. ''The story all started 2 years ago, in november 2011, when we first released the ''Discordance EP'' - a collection of 4 pieces of music that would boldly set the foundations to our label : it was our very first attempt at releasing a record, and we are still thankful today for the support and public we have come across at that time. Since then, dscrd have successfully made a name for themselves, playing a number of countries and festivals, releasing some excellent music on Silicate Music or Stroboscopic Artefacts. If one could suppose they are reaching a certain kind of maturity and comfort, well this record says the exact opposite. These four tracks are wildly imaginative, crossover and rebellious to the electronic music format dogma. This can only resonate with the titles they have chosen for the EP . If you have seen them live, you might have spotted the voices of Fouc ault or Watkins here and there... New specific sequencer software have been coded, legendary vintage bass guitar amps recorded, new ideas and equipment searched and destroyed: every dscrd record involves a breathtaking amount of research and creation. This record, although still a short format, has been generated through an album composition process and should be listened as such.''

It was all unplanned : the duo even got its name after this first record got its mastering. Hiss : 1292?s Aetherius Society EP is a powerful and passionate statement. The creative frenzy of two talented producers - one from Switzerland '12?, the other one from the Parisian suburbs '92? - stuck together in a studio in Geneva, just a couple meters away from the roaring noise of a construction site. They've been putting computers out of the picture, jamming on their machines, synths and effects, and thus creating both forward-thinking and retrofuturistic pieces of techno, with that special "instant classic" feel.

Polar Inertia and Lucy deliver two heavyweight remixes of tracks of the first Dement3d release. It's in a context of deep understanding of each other's music that these two remixes of dscrd's first EP have been made. Least we can say is Lucy and Polar Inertia have been among the very first ones to experience what dscrd is all about. Deep hypnotic basement techno!
