Gunnar Haslam returns to Delsin with his third EP on the label. 'Cacique De Poyais' counts thirteen intriguing minutes of rumbling low key grooves. It's dark and shadowy, full of menace and the sort of elongated bit of deep techno hypnosis to take you in on yourself. Backed with dance floor jams 'Port Sommeil' and 'Azote Du Guano' that both bring spangled synths and wonky drums for a perfectly loose sense of rugged and abstract rhythms.

A year after his last outing on the label, Gunnar Haslam is back on Delsin with four more tracks of idiosyncratic techno. Opening up this EP with the title track, Haslam cooks up a spangled brew of erratic synths and spinning hi hats and ties them together with a heavy rubber kick drum. Followed by 'Sarsi' which is then completely different, it's a beatless and emotionally forlorn cut that still manages to take you somewhere special. Deep dancefloor business taking over on the b-side. Scurrying alien sounds closed by a frenzied techno trip. Each track here is different from the last, and each track here is a refreshing proposition from one of the most interesting guys around.

Turning a new chapter with a new alias, techno stalwart Anthony Parasole delivers his FULL EFX project. The New York City artist known for his work on OsGut Ton, Dekmantel, and his own imprint The Corner, now makes his debut on L.I.E.S. Records.

While the backbone of this project is rooted in the structural ideas of traditional techno, we now hear Parasole expand on his past sound in a refined manner with acute attention to detail throughout these new productions. Most notably is the repeated use of processed "vocals" on the recording which serves a psychedelic element that drives many of the tracks with haunting results. Tempos push and pull from lightspeed 140 bpm club cuts to 89 bpm pseudo-dancehall to the broken beat closer "Scared to Death" with its chopped vocal, sizzling percussions and industrial crunch, all tracks taking their own persona. While others have softened up through the years, Mick has upped the ante, staying true to the unrelenting intensity he pioneered behind the drum kit back in the 80s.
