Tracklist:
A1 Peace (Crazy P Remix)
A2 No One Can Change Me (Nick Holder Remix)
B1 Crucial (808 State Remix)
B2 Bones (Paul Johnson´s Dancefloor Dub)
Short info:
Following the success of 'Left-Handed', Daniel Steinberg's third full length album, the German producer and label owner has invited a stellar cast of electronic music visionaries to reimagine the LP's nine original cuts.
The much anticipated release, scheduled for March 18 on Steinberg's own Arms & Legs imprint will feature a wealth of talent including Paul Johnson, Nick Holder, 808 State & Crazy P.
Making a mockery of the concept of 'highlights', this is a remix album of brimming with exceptional studio craft that glides across a slew of dance floor genres. From the the jacking techno madness of Paul Johnson's 'Bones' to the rock solid funk of Crazy P's 'Peace' to the silky soulfulness of Nick Holder's 'No One Can Change Me' and the raw avant-electronica of 808 State's 'Crucial', it's safe to say that there is no filler on this impressively versatile collection.
On bringing together some of the most respected names in electronic music Steinberg states: 'It's a huge honour, each of the 9 artists have been a big influence on my work over the years. I couldn't be happier with the result.'

Tracklist EP: A1. Salamander A2. Moon Ride B1. Beatiful B2. Lazy Bones
Continuing his extraordinarily productive 2013, the industrious Daniel Steinberg returns once again, still riding high off of the success of his critically acclaimed sophomore album 'Treptow' which was released mere months ago. Despite being profiled on Pete Tong's show as one to watch in early May, he's certainly not been resting on his laurels… Never one to opt for the easy route, Steinberg's 'Salamander' EP showcases four brand new cuts rather than falling back on existing album material. But don't go mistaking these for B-sides, however; each track oozes class and attention to detail, the level of which you've come to expect from a perfectionist like Steinberg. Title track 'Salamander' carries itself with all the assured swagger of an international spy, with majestic strings and grandiose piano sections waltzing across a clipped tech-house drum groove. 'Moon Ride' is a joyous latticework of quirky percussion, horn stabs and snatched soul acapellas, boasting shamelessly exuberant dancefloor charm. Things take a darker turn on the flip, 'Beautiful', with dense slabs of warm analogue bass and mournful, scattered vocal snippets. On 'Lazy Bones' the vibe switches down a notch, and the track rolls along with a languid euphoria to end the EP on a blissfully high note.

Sometimes you need to lose your mind, to regain your musical soul. For Berlin DJ/producer Daniel Steinberg, an intense touring period in the wake the releasing of his debut album 'Shut Up' warranted just that. Suffering from a heavy tour comedown and questioning the direction of not just his music, but his ongoing desire to continue as a globetrotting artist, he locked himself in his East Berlin studio for a nine-day period of "self-imposed exile" that ultimately laid the foundations for his latest opus, 'Treptow'. "For the nine days I didn't speak to a soul except for the pizza delivery guy and completely lost my mind (in the best possible way) listening to some very obscure experimental music from the likes of Ron Geesin, Mark Shreeve and Trevor Wishart. This time acted as the reset button that inspired me to produce 'Treptow'," he tells. Long-lauded by Jesse Rose who signed him to his Front Room Recordings label and the likes of Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano and Claude Vonstroke who've supported his tunes, 'Treptow' speaks of a producer enjoying a deep vein of inspiration. Over fourteen tracks he has crafted a longplayer filled-to-the-brim with rich, personality-laden electronic music, that's indicative of not just the breadth of his production palette, but his passion and commitments to creating colourful dance music with genuine soul and feeling. To encase oneself in the world of Steinberg's 'Treptow' is to be taken on a trip through the artist's kaleidoscopic musical consciousness, which effortlessly swings from the multi-layered bass grooves and low-slung funk of 'Mechanics', to the disco-tinged vibes of 'True Romance' and 'Joy & Happiness', the latter of which received Beatport's Track of the Day upon release in February last year.Famed for his love of crate digging, Steinberg's pet passion is on full display throughout the album with 'Tomorrow' deftly combining jackin' beats with chopped up vintage funk samples, before moving things southwards, with the tropical Latin vibes of 'Pasilda'. He also crafts, simple, stunning piano-laden house with aplomb, as album single 'Can't Find My Baby' attests to, while reinforcing his ability to produce punchy, crisp tech house with 'Let Me Down' and shimmering 'Low Rider', ensuring the longplayer is as well-rounded as it is varied. A long-time hero of Berlin club scene with regular appearances at Watergate, Tresor and Suicide Circus, as well as the much-loved Fusion Festival held two hours of north of the capital, Steinberg was 13 when the Berlin Wall came down. He has fond memories of slipping out of his bedroom window to attend the legendary E-Werk and Bunker clubs, immersing himself in the sounds of Strictly Rhythm, R&S, Low Spirit and Bonzai Records. Such was his passion for the movement that he quickly became the DJ for his school in Treptow making mixtapes for his friends. Years later, it was also in Treptow that he produced his first record in his tiny apartment, and today it's that very former apartment that is the location for his studio and the site of creation for his latest album, making this a fitting tribute. Says Steinberg: "My music journey has been fantastic, full of foreign places and unforgettable strangers, the opportunity for which I am hugely grateful. But the one constant throughout my whole life has been Treptow, a place I will always come back to, where my family and friends still live, where my studio has always been and the place I'm so lucky to call home, and so this album goes out to that." Available on CD, eight track double vinyl LP and digitally.

Tracklist EP: A1. Can´t Find My Baby B1. Can´t Find My Baby (Sascha Braemer & Dan Caster Remix) B2. True Romance
Following a string of successful solo EPs in 2012 including 'Joy and Happiness', the title track of which was made Track of the Day on Beatport, Daniel Steinberg returns with 'Can't Find My Baby', the first single from his upcoming sophomore album 'Treptow' due in March. Staying true to his ethos of producing infectious, personality-packed electronic music that's a world away from so much of the cookie cutter house and techno that exist throughout club land, Steinberg has emerged with a record shimmering with real heart and feeling. Combining crisp tech house beats, with the analogue style warmth of keys and trumpet, together with hook-ridden vocal samples 'Can't Find My Baby' is filled to the brim with his signature soul and playfulness while retaining a definite dance floor sensibility. Due for release on Arms & Legs, the label Steinberg founded in 2011 alongside fellow Berliner Nils Ohrmann, the package also includes a smooth, stripped back re-rub from Sascha Braemer & Dan Caster that takes the cut into more instrumental territory. As an added bonus, Steinberg is also sharing 'True Romance', a silky string house cut that exemplifies his affection for classical influences and the breadth of his musical palette.

The titel track "rush me" fuses the Steinbergian House style with the Lo-Fi charm of the roaring 20's. IT comes over slightly poppy but with a very relaxed and laid back groove. Steinberg at his best! Format:B's "rush me" remix, that has been reduced to the original vocals comes over trippy and with a good dose of bongo's making it into a grooving party track. Steinberg's "Es la Vida" is an elegant reduced tech house beauty. The rhythmic, percussive vocals hit on a very monotone but kicking bass line. A touch of a warm night by the sea in Spain! Format:B's interpretation of "Es la Vida" concentrates on the vocals and some of the percussion from the original, and combines Steinberg's basics with a hypnotic synth-structure that boils up in the last third of the track until it finally explodes! All tracks aren't scared to admit that they're aiming for the peak time. 4* different styles. Kick ass!

Once upon a time … close to a lake in a small village named Lenz. Pleasant silence filled the air in this idyllic lake land of Mecklemburg. A gentle breeze blew and the tree branches quivered to its pulse. Listening closely, one could hear the soft purl of the lake. A distant spring storm raged through the night, supplanted by the majestic rise of a red fire ball rapidly approaching the illuminated firmament. Breaking through the last shades of the night, gentle birdsongs pierced the solitude of the almost virgin nature. Emerging from a humble and picturesque cottage, soft electric melodies are carried through the cosmos to invigorate and titillate our senses. Four years after their successful debut album “Dark Orbit” (May 2009), the DJ-Duo Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner prepare to release their second album called “Lenz”. In defiance of breakup rumors, their latest stroke of genius promises to arouse spring feelings for all electronic music fans. In the summer of 2011, acclaimed DJs, Alfred Heinrichs and Sascha Braemer, had already conceived the initial ideas of their new album. In the meantime, the pair kept busy working on solo projects and remixes for various DJs and labels as well as keeping active international careers. Last spring, in order to increase and intensify the creative process of the project, the two Berliners expelled themselves from the noisy and restless metropolis to an isolated timberland bungalow. Leaving all forms of communication behind, they were delivered pure inspiration from the soft sounds and impressive backdrop of Mother Nature herself. An intimate bond was forged with her, bringing to life the tracks, “Sunrise”, “Nature” and “Firewood”, all of which evoke a vestal semblance, emulating the place of their conception. The debut album “Dark Orbit” of these vinyl jaugglers was characterized by penetrating underground-techno combined with scattered dark elements. In Contrast, “Lenz” shines in a whole new light. A prevalently more mature sound stemmed from their previous natural limits of minimal and house, inspired by their tireless, yet motley work in the past two years. Guided by the idealistic beauty of their setting, Heinrichs and Hirtenfellner knowingly combined their ideas and inspirations into a collaborative project, dying the color of their signature sound anew. “Lenz” arises more pleasant, reflective and brighter than its predecessor, fittingly named “Dark Orbit”, with multifaceted and impulsive beats as well as a harmonious and melodious sound. The new album, which is sure to impress and surprise, also features collaborations with the soulful voices of Viviana Alvarez and Fabian Reichelt and masterfully harmonizes elements of genres ranging as far as soul and pop to create an atmospheric melody to mesmerize every ear. In order to celebrate the prevailing mood of the album, Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner aptly release Lenz this Spring in May (2013). This nature expedition will be shot out into the spring-like electronic music landscape via their own Label: Supdub Records Berlin. The initial release will be vinyl only, endowed with eight out of the eleven tracks, with the complete record to be released as a digital album, available for purchased on Beatport at a later date. Various live performances and a frisky record release party are also planned to mark this milestone for the duo. More

Short info:
Following the coup of the EP “Trauriger Sonntag” (Sad Sunday – SDR029), “Zucker and Salt” (SDR030) will now be the new stroke. Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner created this one in collaboration with our friends from Paris: Sucré Salé. Both duos have been friends with each other over quite a while yet, but are coming together for the first time to create an amazing piece of music. The base for the song was provided by Sucré Salé with their sound of “Bye Bye”. This exotic quartet turned it into a grandiose remix accompanied by gentle, bitter and joyful sounds that are delivering the sad feelings of a farewell, but on the contrary already transferring feelings of anticipation as for the next reunion. Tracks: A1 Trauriger Sonntag – Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner B1 Trauriger Sonntag – Sascha Braemer & Dan Caster B2 Trauriger Sonntag – René Bourgeois & Andy Kohlmann
An outstanding highlight in this year’s late summer is presented by the stars of the Berlin Label Supdub. For this year’s first time the DJ Duo Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner (also well known as Alfred Heinrichs & Sascha Braemer) is producing together again. Resulting in the EP Sad Sunday, they created a true appetizer for their upcoming album. However this is not all to the new EP. In addition to Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner’s new song, Dan Caster & Sascha Braemer as well as René Bourgeois & Andy Kohlmann created their very own interpretation of this marvellous Sunday after hour feeling disguised in a song. Their work will also be found on the new EP. The new song creation Sad Sunday has already been successfully performed by the Duo on various gigs. Thus, the idea developed to eternalize the track(s) respectively as original(s) together on an own disk.
Listening to this good piece of music, the intention of the creators will soon be crystal clear – to transfer the well known feeling that arouses after the party stops and you slowly come back down to earth, realizing that you left the wonderful party dreamland behind and are now heading back towards your daily routine. Furthermore the track tries to foment the desire for the next weekend by being endowed with deep and exhaustive vocals. The Sad Sunday EP is implementing its theme on all levels, providing a formidable sound for a frolic sound pleasure. More

A man, a word! That occurs to his friends, if somemone asks them for Toby "Monte" Montana. But not only that, but still much more… He produced own tracks for the first time, together with Tobias Luetzenkirchen with project names e.g. Luxor & Montana, Luetzenkirchen & Toby Montana or Bully Boys. One of his further production partners is his homie Dan Caster from Berlin. In this great EP you can listen his long experience as dj, promoter and producer. All in one together a big techhouse vinyl with pure emotions.

For more than 10 years, Berliners Martin Books and Alfred Heinrichs have been, and done a lot more than be partners in producing electronic music, they have also been best friends, as some would say: 'mates'.They are passionate about having fun, and their list of shared activities includes wakeboarding, snowboarding, motor-cross and cycling. So it was always clear to both men that they should combine their experience in electronic music to produce and release an album together on vinyl. Martin Brooks was able to collect a range of experiences early on, both nationally and internationally, as a long time musical companion of Telemen (Multicolour). As a band member he played at festivals such as Melt, SMS, Rave On Snow, Hessentage and many more. Alfred Heinrichs, the founder of Supdub Records and a part of Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner, also has many years of musical success behind him, and is enthusiastic to show his followers this new development in his uniquely special sound. He has impressed crowds all over Germany and around the world, performing at Panorama Bar, Berghain, Watergate, Bar 25, Katerholzig and as far away as Australia and Japan. All of this experience comes together in the two friends shared passion for music, and is reflected
