Tracklist 12":
A1. Pech A2. Schwefel B1. Schwarzlicht B2. Filmriss
Info:
Oliver Huntemann always delivers - especially on his own Senso imprint. After two decades at the forefront of the European scene, to see his name on a record guarantees deeply accomplished techno - direct yet sophisticated, brutal yet refined, physical yet cerebral. After a string of impressive digital releases, the four tunes collected here more than merit an appearance on vinyl. 'Pech' is a masterclass in the selection and combination of tone and texture. Elements unfold and flower organically - including a sustained and deliciously pitch-bent bass tone - as the tune reaches its climax of dancing synths. 'Schwefel' takes a voyage into more eerie territory, full of echo and distant music-box pings that are finally subsumed by gritty synth repetitions.
The airy feel of 'Schwarzlicht' with its simple kick-less beat and textured woodblocks gives way to an imposing, thorax-rattling low end. Precision-engineered for a massive system, the pitch-bent bass twists like a contortionist, while piercing stabs pulse and ping. Last up, the slamming kick and buzzing repetitions of 'Filmriss' create a dark, edgy vibe. A pitched-up pulse - as if a string is being slowly tightened to breaking point - makes way for a truly monstrous and memorable sub bass.

A1. Taktik, A2. Poltergeist
B1. Egoist, B2. Malaria
C1. Rotlicht, C2. Anonym
D1. Absurd, D2. Manipulation
E1. Vertigo, E2. Momentum
F1. Doppelgänger, F2. Trick 17
Now with over 20 years of releases behind him, Oliver Huntemann finds himself on the cusp of yet a new era in his career. 'Propaganda' is the fifth proper artist album from the Hamburg-based DJ/producer, and like each of its predecessors, it shows a different side to one of the most consistently rewarding names in techno. Released on his own Senso Sounds label, the album exudes the level of assurance that perhaps only comes with being so active in curating and developing a label that has stood out from the masses since its inception in 2014.
'Propaganda' opens with 'Taktik', and the mood is quickly established through crisp motorik drum programming and deep, pulsing bass lines. 'Poltergeist' - the 2nd cut, continues this aesthetic - a deep and spacious groover. Clocking in at over 1 hour 15 minutes, the album allows a lot of space for itself, each tracking having the time it needs to develop and unfold. 'Egoist' ramps up the feel somewhat with intricate melodies and effects, before breaking down into something that will destroy many dance floors.
Yet the beauty of the album format is that it allows for various mood changes, and 'Malaria' brings us something of a shift into a more freaked out and edgy vibe, while 'Anonym' highlights Huntemann's mastery of atmosphere, serving as an ambient / downbeat interlude.
'Rotlicht' is perhaps a standout for fans of Huntemann's epic DJ sets, exhibiting all the control and release dynamic that make him such an engaging performer. It's also clearly a key cornerstone for the entire album
Next up is 'Absurd', followed by 'Manipulation' - both reference the exquisite sound design Huntemann instils into his precision- built tracks, while remaining primed for club use at all times. 'Momentum' switches up the tempo, perhaps influenced by more experimental, no wave and krautrock sources - and serving as punctuation before the album's final triptych.
'Vertigo' sees shimmering arpeggiated synths skip across a solid rhythm track, while 'Doppelgänger' builds a delicious tension through constant pads and pulsing, blocky bass tones. 'Trick17' ultimately rounds off 'Propoganda', - an expanse of emotionally charged techno with Huntemann's signature feel woven into its fabric.

Info:
Senso Sounds collects together two of the key tracks from bossman Oliver Huntemann's new 'Propaganda' album for this 12 inch release. Senso has established itself as a key label in the techno scene and Huntemann's ear for quality remains as sharp as ever. 'Rotlicht' is a precision-honed instrument of techno weaponry - hard as nails and featuring epic and mind-bending breakdowns. Additionally the Egyptian DJ and producer Raxon reworks the track into a deep and solid groover with plenty of attitude. 'Poltergeist' is a journey into Huntemann's feel for sound design and space in a club context, beguiling with its seeming simplicity, before hitting home with shifting, evolving grooves and haunting synth blasts. The young Russian Maksim Dark adds his own interpretation of 'Poltergeist' to the release, edging up the darkness a little more and producing a growling, tough techno workout that will go over big on a lot of floors this year.

Info:
Oliver Huntemann's beloved globetrotting mix series PLAY! is set to touch down for its highly-anticipated fifth edition in Vienna. Having journeyed through four of the world's best nightclubs on four continents, PLAY! 05 is the most recent glimpse into Oliver's DJ mindset: the tracks he's playing, the stories he's telling, the journey he is undertaking, and the ever important relationship he has with the dancefloor. The PLAY! series has provided Oliver Huntemann a unique platform - allowing him to showcase the tight, nuanced techno and tech-house that he's pioneered over the last two decades. Following the highly effective format of live recording Oliver performing at some of the most iconic clubs in the greatest cities of the world, all PLAY! editions also include a little something extra: a track created exclusively for the compilation, and named for the city the mix is recorded in. The A-side "Schnitzel" is a deeper darker shade of the classic Huntemann sound, with long synth trails and inky tones, perfect for diving deep into the after hours, while the closing track of PLAY! 05's first half, "Vienna" takes the flip side stage on this two-track EP. With its chant-along robotic vocals of "Freak Out / Exhale", and subtly minimalist tech house tempo, it is an example of a master slowly building towards a peak.

Info:
Senso, the brand-new imprint from Hamburg's Oliver Huntemann, delivers its debut release from the boss himself. And, what a way to introduce his latest endeavor - two tracks of exceptionally focused, highly charged and deeply sophisticated techno from the heart.
Huntemann has always shied away from the limelight, preferring to let his prolific body of work and prodigious skills behind the decks do the talking. With this release, he again manages to leave an indelible mark on the techno heritage of northern Europe. Donner is a epic 9-plus minute workout of muscular beats, off kilter percussion and tense, minimal melodies - a master class in the art of building tension and its eventual release. Similarly, Blitz weaves a narrative out of a terse, tightly wound groove and elements that gradually build and build, stoking the fire. Metallic, buzzing synths fire and recede, ultimately exposing the jagged machine funk core of another exceptional Huntemann transmission.

Carlo Ruetz - Hypersonic
3
Carlo Ruetz - Simultan
Carlo Ruetz has built a strong reputation for his particular brand of precision tool techno. The Rostock-born producer and DJ has been making waves since taking the Beatport minimal techno charts by storm and turning the head of tastemaker Richie Hawtin. Welcoming him back to Oliver Huntemann's killer Senso Sounds, 'Hypersonic' is a four track EP of rare quality. 'Don't Know' kicks it off, a bruising, powerful cut that combines a tough-as-nails rhythm section with bubbling, acidic vibes. EP title track 'Hypersonic' ups the ante even more - driving drums provide the bedrock for expressive percussion and a devastating bass pulse. 'Simultan' continues the party - a tech-house monster with filthy sub bass waves and firing rhythm track. The digital bonus track 'Rover' is a stripped down burner of a track with laser cut grooves and thick, atmospheric synth stabs that echo around the audio field.

maksim dark - Movement
Maksim Dark returns to his spiritual home of Senso Sounds - Oliver Huntemann's much touted imprint for his tougher, technoid leanings. Maksim, born in Serov, Russia, has created an indelible impression over the course of his young career, and 'Movement' is clearly the next step on his road to very great things. 'Attack Disco' is true to form - a lean, mean and tough to the bone piece of techno with a driving, powerful edge. Growling, snarling synths sound like shards of metal ripping through the groove producing an intense vibe. 'Coordinate' is a notch more reserved, but builds a killer, hypnotic groove through stripped back elements, before Maksim's off-kilter sound design provides the trippy topping. The title track 'Movement' fits its name - the track bursts with energy and atmosphere, propelled by a thick, tactile rhythm and pitched down, demonic vocal by the man himself.

Info:
Senso Sounds drop a major release from techno heavyweight Dubfire and label boss Oliver Huntemann. Reuniting the partnership that has seen a string of seminal releases over the years in the form of their 'Elements' series, 'Humano' is the 2nd part of a continuation of this series - more weapons of grade dance-floor material from the high profile duo. Later on this year their partnership will be summarized in their 'Restrospectivo' album.
Former Deep Dish man Dubfire's uncanny knowledge of how to create epic dance-floor moments is in full effect, combined with Huntemann's precision tool production techniques on the original version of the title track. The result is a super tough, tight and incalculably driving slice of techno goodness that will ignite floors worldwide. The rest of the EP manages to maintain the pressure - with a set of sick remixes from Victor Ruiz, Hatzler and Shaded.
Ruiz, the Brazilian techno pioneer adds another level of fire to the original, tweaking and refining the track into a damager that pushes everything to 11 and hits home with every play. Hatzler, the Hamburg based German DJ/producer chooses a different direction - emphasizing more of the space in the original. Rinsing the tension to the next level, look out for the epic middle section break down. The whole package is primed to destroy clubs far and wide - techno at its most effective. Shaded's Summer Skin remix also delivers a tightly wound interpretation, with a bubbling bass line and nervous, excited groove providing the fuel for an extended dancefloor excursion.

A1. Red Lights
A2. Red Lights (Bart Skils Motor Speedway Rework)
B1. Nevermind
B2. Nevermind (Oliver Huntemann Remix)
Info:
Victor Ruiz is one of the hottest names in underground electronic music right now, and this 12' on Oliver Huntemann's always-reliable Senso imprint gives a pretty clear reason why. The Brazilian DJ and producer has been popping up all over the world in the last few years, and his string of amazing releases on labels such as Electric Ballroom and Sudbeat have cemented his reputation. This 12-inch is testament to that reputation - made up of four tracks of uncompromising, precise techno. Side A brings us Red Lights - a spacey journey to the heart of the dancefloor - tweaked and shaped for maximum effect on big room sound-systems. Dutchman Bart Skils steps up on remix duties to provide a sick Motor Speedway mix- somewhere between the Krautrock influences of Kraftwerk and the sleek techno of Detroit's 2nd wave. The flip brings us Nevermind - Victor Ruiz doing what he does best - exploring track dynamics within a perfectly developed journey - including an unsettling and trippy vocal that lifts the track even further towards the stars. Label boss Oliver Huntemann stops by to provide the remix - stipping the track down to his signature sound - deep and streamlined, yet full of emotion.

Oliver Huntemann's Senso Sounds label provides a comprehensive retrospective of the seminal Dubfire & Oliver Huntemann collaboration project over a double-CD package. CD1 is dedicated to the Diablo / Dios / Humano trilogy and includes all mixes of the brand new track 'Humano' which has just been released as a vinyl picture disc; while CD2 sums up the Elements Series consisting of Fuego, Terra, Aire and Agua. The pair's output since debuting with the epic 'Diablo' has now spanned 8 years, and this collection provides a timely reminder of how two of the most influential statesmen of the techno continuum have constantly pushed the boundaries of electronic dance music, and each other, forward.
'Retrospectivo' contains each of their original releases, com-plemented by a host of exceptional remixes from other key figures in the scene. The CDs were preceded by warmly welcomed new reissues of Terra and Fuego, stretching out over a luxurious 2+ hours of prime techno. 'Diablo' kicks things off, sounding as fresh as the day it was unleashed in 2008, and is accompanied by the Carlo Lio remix that pushes its muscular driving vibe into a new territory. Dios also appears with the rework from Jon Gaiser, via his Atheists Anonymous Remix, crystallizing the original's 10 minute form into a taut, powerful six minutes of dance floor gold. The new track 'Humano' appears here in four glorious versions from the original via newer interpretations from Hatzler, SHADED's Summer Skin Remix and the Victor Ruiz mix.
Kicking off CD2, 'Fuego' burns as brightly as ever with additional heat added by Julian Jeweil's masterful remix, while 'Terra' gets the treatment by the ever dependable Joseph Capriati. Three different mixes each of 'Aire' and 'Agua' complete the package, with the combined talents of Matador, Peter Dundov and Detroit's own Carl Craig rounding off the compilation in particularly fine style.
Both Dubfire and Oliver Huntemann have pursued their own paths that have seen them reach dizzying heights within the techno world, but these recordings and their expertly curated reworks will remain a benchmark for many.

Tracklist 12":
A. Terra (Joseph Capriati Remix)
B. Fuego (Julian Jeweil Remix)
Info:
The true techno dream team of Dubfire & Oliver Huntemann revisit their Elements project from a few years ago with a new series of killer remixes, ahead of a retrospective album coming later in the year. Terra - originally released in 2011, did all sorts of damage to dance-floors across the globe. Now, it's all set to do it again thanks to this Joseph Capriati Remix. The Italian techno headliner has grown into a major force on the scene in recent years, and here delivers a signature slice of muscular, driving techno - taut, dramatic and devastating. Paired with a remix of the now seminal Feugo Julien Jeweil's remix also hits the spot - the track received a 2016 overhaul with some of Jeweil's signature flair. The Frenchman has been a constant figure on the top of various charts and line ups for some time, and its easy to see why - Fuego is stripped back machine funk primed for big systems and even bigger moments.

B1. Track 10:30 (dubspeeka Remix) B2. Track 10:30 (André Winter Remix)
Info:
Way back in 1996, at the height of the widely acknowledged golden period for electronic music, D-Saw a.k.a André Winter released a true classic on Hamburg's highly influential Superstition label. Track 10:30 stood the test of time, becoming widely regarded as a key moment in European techno music history, despite its modest impact at the time. Now, 20 years later, André revisits the source material courtesy of some killer remixes on Oliver Huntemann's Senso imprint. Hamburg's own H.O.S.H. (Holger Behn) delivers an epic twist to the cut, widening out the spaces and adding his own tech-y signature to the original. Re.You offer up another flavour altogether, maintaining the iconic synth pulse of the source but introducing an infectious, driving groove.
dubspeeka throw a bit more grit in into proceedings with a tough, machine funk mix, while André Winter himself reworks his classic into a slow burning groover that effortlessly showcases the elements that make this track so timeless.

A1 R U Ready feat. Nick Maurer A2 R U Ready feat. Nick Maurer (Alex Dolby Remix) B R U Ready feat. Nick Maurer (Oliver Huntemann Remix)
Info:
"Are you ready to rise up and take your life into your own hands?" So goes Nick Maurer's challenge on Mark Deutsche & Musoé's stunning new transmission of pounding, deadly deep techno. Justly feted for 2013's "Push" - a big, bold and booming calling card - Mark Ullrich and Turgay Avicoglu kick off 2015 in fine style for Senso Sounds with this equally brilliant track. The original mix packs a punch with a windpipe-rattling kick and Maurer's stentorian spoken-word performance before a grainy melodic riff whips you higher and higher into oblivion. The textures are delicious, the rhythms understated yet complex. On remix duties, Alex Dolby creates a stupendous wobble in the space-time continuum - an interpretation that vibrates, ripples and quivers in an edgy, avant-garde manner. Meanwhile, Senso Sounds label boss Oliver Huntemann takes a big-room techno approach with textbook build up, breakdown and a climactic pay-off, precision-tooled for the dancefloor. On the strength of this package alone - and with more releases scheduled on an array of underground labels - 2015 is going to be a big year for this very dynamic duo.

Oliver Huntemann's beloved globetrotting mix series PLAY! is set to touch down for its highly-anticipated fifth edition in Vienna.

EAN: 4250382427605; Release: 01.09.2014
André Winter and Hatzler's unique studio alchemy has revealed itself under many guises over many years. Their latest incarnation sees them join forces yet again for an impressive selection of maximal techno future classics, on the beloved Senso Sounds imprint of their longtime friend Oliver Huntemann. There is nothing illusory about the duo's Mirage EP; the three tracks are rock solid, bristling with energy, and designed for maximum impact. "Mirage" is pure forward movement and acceleration, straight out of the gate. The duo create layer after layer of dark tech elements and percussive accents, building a sense of anticipation that drive towards a peak of sensory saturation. "Kwantum" continues the metallic tones and spiky attitude, with a touch of vintage minimal flair that is perfect for late-night sessions. Starting with a sparse, deep swing and distinctive bass riff, neon retro pads begin to fill the gaps and tiny snips of machine music bring this streamlined stomper to life. "Glowsticks" possesses with the colour and vibrancy that the name suggests, to create a big, bright peaktime belter. It is pure hands-in-the-air fare from the very first bar, maintaining its relentless pace with a rolling big-room sound.

EAN: 4250382427506 Presales: 14.07.2014 Release: 11.08.2014
Tracklist 12": A Move B1 Fargo B2 Spiral Tribe
Info:
Bristol has long been known for its deep love of everything dubwise, from reggae through to the flourishing bass scene the city is now synonymous with. Hailing from this melting pot, dubspeeka continues the tradition with 3 heavy cuts that effortlessly blend speaker punishing subs with the driving, crisp techno that Oliver Huntemann's new Senso Sounds label is becoming known for.
First up is Move - the title an unavoidable directive seemingly emitted from the propulsive groove. The track oozes menace and tension -its heads-down attitude will go over big on harder-edged dance floors. Likewise, title track Fargo is relentless in its mission - the tough bottom end and tight groove is offset by some surprisingly subtle pads - but the result remains a hypnotic bruiser of a cut.
Spiral Tribe, named after the legendary free party warriors of the 90s, completes the release. Every bit as at home in a dark warehouse as a outdoor rave, dubspeeka seems to be flying the flag for true tough-as-nails party music - and long may it continue.

Tracklist 12": A Blitz B Donner
