Swedish producer Albion Venables has been building up a formidable bank of oddball disco, boogie, wave and other groove-oriented delights on labels like Ambassador's Reception, Macadam Mambo and People Must Jam. After first appearing on the ever-excellent Bahnsteig 23 in 2016, he's back on the label with some more head-spinning obscurities from the outside tracks of synth music. "Poupee Mecanique" is a jovial French bopper, while "Balearo" cuts a more organic, reclining figure with its chugging bass plucks, laconic guitar and dreamy keys. "In Coherence" channels some funky AOR sass, and "OVNI" heads into heavy prog funk territory, rounding out a veritable wild card of a record.

At last the Albion vinyl sampler sees the light of day! We’ve waited far too long for this hotcake, but as they say “the best things come to those who wait”. We’ve pressed up four crazy disco gems here on the vinyl sampler. We start with “Leslie” by the Nevaboston Team originally released in 1978 on a rare as rocking horse shit Italian 7” Albion gives it his subtle but effective treatment blending both parts together to create a new take on this killer piece of music (wait for the horns to drop for maximum dance floor devastation). Oh and I nearly forgot to mention this is exclusive to the sampler never ever released Norma Jordan’s “Feel Me” also gets the Albion snip and this delightful tracks begins with a quite a dark intro, mutating acid & disco until Norma’s inviting voice comes to the front and absolutely smashes any dance floor into smithereens. On the flip one the hardest Italian disco nuggets to get a grip on is unleashed. Yes my friends “Krypton” by Captain Torkive is extremely hard to locate. Imagine if “space disco” was actually a disco on the moon! After the all night party you hail down the next available shuttle to take you back to Earth you ask the driver to switch to Space FM and you hear “Krypton” the perfect soundtrack as you gravitate back down to terra firma. Whilst we are on the subject of space “Invasione” by Eva Eva Eva would be another track on the Space FM playlist. Yes another hard to get Italian bomb that glides through the half disco half psyche path of destruction. I big commanding voice reminds us about the cold war. He tells us to calm down and dance the disco dance our hero! Once again it’s limited edition with NO REPRESS so buy now or cry later.

After the huge success of our previous MME909 by Traxx and Npnk, here is a new selection of industrial, post-punk, EBM edits selected and made by Dunkeltier also known as Sneakers DJ (Uncanny Valley, Frigio…). Dunkeltier has worked to give a second life to those very obscure tracks and needed to be adjusted. Giving tribute to the defunct artist Kozmonaut on this new extended version of “The Mann”. “Tanzmusik” by Absolute Body Control was originally 1:40 and completely underexploited, we have now a strong solid dance floor killer! “Saturday Night” by eM (also known as SM Nurse) was originally only released on tape and needed a proper restoration. And some of you will probably recognise the final track “A Dey” but completely remixed by Dunkeltier. A very must have for those who love strong records!

Are you ready for the 3rd release of the Macadam Mambo Edits? We prefer to inform you from the dangerousness of this issue on the dancefloor. It starts with a “Hungarian Cosmic Italo/Synth Pop” track edited by Macadam Mambo co-owner Bob Bernard (Macadam Mambo), a kind of candy not as innocent as it can make you feel. A2 is an “ethnic French coldwave” tune edited and reworked by Fab Mayday (Pornwax/Beatwolf Radio/Italo Italians), like you’re in an ambiant cotton mood, perfect to start an after party. On second side, the duo Bernadott (Edits Du Golem) delivers a huge, a monster, an infernal demoniac rework/edit of a punk anthem, acid bassline, loud kick, mental structure, no need to say more. And to finish, a sunny, fresh, sexy, hot, funny reedit of an obscure “French synth pop” track, ideal to keep a warm temperature during the winter, made by Bikini Freak (Macadam Mambo)

The guests of the record are Loisirs Modernes, two activists from Marseille who run Le Passe Temps Club, they’ve transformed an old rock cut in a fantastic Balearic track, Passionata, perfect to start a set. Roger Suchard with Papy Papy find probably one of the most beautiful loop to make you happy. And to complete the record, Savala a very intense tribal boogie edited by Bikini Freak.

Rhythm On The Loose - Break Of Dawn (Stonebridge Monday Bar Full On Mix)
Rhythm On The Loose “Break Of Dawn” is quite simply one of House Music’s all time classics. Producer Geoff Hibbert was inspired by seeing dawn break on an Italian coast line to draw inspiration from Moby’s anthemic “Go” and disco gem “Let No Man Put Asunder” by First Choice to create his loving homage to the UK Rave scene. Network set up a label “The One After D” to release a limited edition press of the instant classic to create demand. One of the first copies was picked up by Kevin Saunderson and his relentless playing of the track helped fuel interest in the USA. The first release on Network in 1991 established the track as iconic. That original mix is here and still sounds as fresh as ever. Perfect in fact. The 12” also contains remastered versions of the 1995 remixes by Rhythm On The Loose, Strike and Stonebridge.

Crossed Wires III marks the final installment of the Crossed Wires trilogy, a series of releases that saw Crossed Wires dig deep into their archived cassette recordings of early experiments in electronics and sound design.
The final part pulls together 14 tracks spanning the gamut of Crossed Wires' influences, giving us emotionally charged ambient all the way to angsty almost-garage-rock, with a plethora of minimal-wave grooves and catchy hooks for us to vibe to, as we cry into our bran flakes knowing there will be no more Crossed Wires. Shcuro & Vil - Rumble The Funk (Blasha & Allatt Remix)
A bass rumble seems to rearrange your organs like a spiritual doctor, fast techno kicks and a funky as hell percussion line emerge - it's the lucky 13th release on Lisbon's Para?so, this time by local mainstays Shcuro and Vil - the first, label co-founder, the second a longtime friend and impeccable DJ with a range that runs from dubstep to the hardest strains of techno and beyond. The opener track 'Rumble The Funk' evolves with infectious stabs and cut-up vocal and our legs can't seem to stand still. The groove continues on with the A2 'Recoil', a soulful, dubby, relentless ode to techno that feels authentic and purposeful. Emotional tones find their way in via a mysterious, melodic string, introduced in the breakdown. Dubbed out motifs, delay + feedback strokes make a welcome return on the appropriately titled 'Chime Dub' that opens the B side of the record: skippy rhythmic layers and a warm bassline complete the picture, string flourishes give us glimpses of radiant dancefloor revelations. On the B2 the duo's opener track gets the remix treatment by another exciting duo: Blasha & Allatt, who are the women behind the iconic queer techno raves Meat Free. They flip the original's melody into a rapid, dreamy affair, conveying an optimism that perfectly wraps up this solid record by continuing the celebration of collaborative work.
