Infotext:
For a long time, Francesco Tristano has behaved, musically, like a wild child making fun of his parent´s supervision, and repeatedly ran away from home to visit forbidden locations. One only has to review last year´s agenda of concerts: in between solemn dates in important venues all over the planet where he interprets programs of baroque and contemporary music, centring around composers like Johann Sebastian Bach, Maurice Ravel, George Gershwin or Dietrich Buxtehude on the piano, are several commitments under the epigraph `Francesco Tristano live´. Those escapes have little to do with classical music; quite the opposite actually. They show that Francesco´s commitment to electronic sounds remains as alive as when he started to release his first "dance" records on Infiné, even though over the last years he consolidated his position as one of the most requested pianists with one of the most brilliant repertoires of his generation. When Francesco Tristano escapes to a club, the spirit which possesses him is the one of Techno, specifically the original Detroit sound. There, in the heat of the cabin, he switches from piano to synthesizer, from pedals to software and what flows out of the speakers is a kind of music, which can only fit in this hedonistic context and the celebration of the body: expansive, rhythmic, emotional, sprinkled with piano stabs and unstoppable grooves. The material he uses is typically self-composed and unreleased, secretly produced in seclusion, to nurture a musical discourse, which only makes sense if it´s carried out like some kind of jam session, with the continuity of a DJ set, without exactly being a classic DJ set. There are transitions, but there are no mixes; and if there are tracks by other artists, they appear as elements facilitating the creation of a live remix. And from this accumulated experience, the idea and the content of volume 16 of the Body Language series was born. Part of the Techno material Francesco Tristano was working on over the last few months has already appeared last December on the "Piano, Hats & Stabs" E.P., his first record for Get Physical. Some of those tracks are re-appearing now on "Body Language" in the form they were originally intended to be: as pieces, designed to fit into a much more ambitious and complex construction. With the exception of "The Harvest" - a Jazz classic, identifiable as Proto-Techno, that opened Joe Zawinul´s album Dialects (1986), which importance could be compared to Herbie Hancock´s "Rockit", Francesco Tristano´s entire journey expresses itself in form of original productions ("Ongaku", "Jinguru"), written in collaboration with other musicians. Here we are listening for the first time to "Amnesie", half-half with Luciano, or the new project KhalifeSchumacherTristano, which was born from the ashes of "Aufgang" and remixed by Reboot - or material that was given to him by partners of the label, friends and other artists from his surroundings, like P41, aka the sound engineer Edoardo Pietrogrande; or Danton Eeprom, ex-partner in the Infiné days; Cardopusher, neighbour in Barcelona; and also M.A.N.D.Y., representatives of his new home-label, Get Physical. On a traditional DJ album, the added value lies apart from the musical selection in the bravery of the mix. In the case of Body Language, the importance is not so much in the beat-matching, but much rather in the key-mixing. To round off the transitions of the tracks, Francesco Tristano has deployed all his musical wisdom, to add layers of synthesizers and piano attacks all over the place, to complete the rhythmic journey with a dense harmonic richness. His own tracks are born from piano grooves - you might even notice some chords borrowed from the "Suite In A Minor" by Jean-Philippe Rameau, one of the most important composers of the French baroque - and are always expanding in the depth of outer space. The result may sound familiar on first listening, but it becomes deeper when paying attention to the details and chord progressions. The architecture of the composition is actually quite surprising: Deep House and Detroit 2.0 with a sonic density, which is unknown in contemporary club music. The expression that best describes the musical philosophy of Francesco Tristano might be "Bach to the Future". On Body Language there is no Bach, but the future is constructing itself minute by minute.

Francesco Tristano - Place On Lafayette (Thomas Gandey & Radio Slave Last Communication Remix)
Tracklisting:
A1 Francesco Tristano - Place On Lafayette (Tuff City Kids Remix)
A2 Francesco Tristano - Place On Lafayette (Guti Remix)
B Francesco Tristano - Place On Lafayette (Thomas Gandey & Radio Slave Last Communication Remix)
Info:
Francesco Tristano really needs no introduction lately, his music speaks volumes and his reputation precedes him; with that said we are happy to share 'Place On Lafayette' with you once again, this time including some stunning remixes.
The first one is a collaboration between two highly respected artists: Thomas Gandey and Radio Slave. The two take the track further into tech-house territory with the percussion driving while multiple layers begin the fall into one another, achieving a beautifully elegant and jazzy end result.
Guti's vision is much deeper, with hints of dub here and there as the artists drives the tension up and creates a stunning groove. The final remix come from Tuff City Kids, who are known for their sometimes unconventional approach to making music, and in this case, it works. They channel a raw vibe and create something that is quite possibly the furthest thing from the original in terms of percussion. The pianos keep the thread strong, and the rhythm takes care of the rest.

Short info:
We'd like to proudly announce GPM289 as a very special release, indeed. The occasion? A Francesco Tristano's hand behind a set of five killer tracks that conform ‚Piano, Hats & Stabs EP', an EP made for open-eared and open-minded listeners. Tristano, virtuoso pianist and composer known for his taste for the electronic and hybrid, has been blowing away dance music-heads for a while thanks to his impressive live sets solo and alongside the likes of Moritz von Oswald and Carl Craig - with whom he recently appeared on a special edition of Boiler Room. Now, Get Physical has the honor to be hosting the musician's even deeper delve into the world of techno. Inspired by an "ongoing quest to unite the sounds of the acoustic grand piano with electronic synthesizers, sequences and drum loops", the ‚Piano, Hats & Stabs EP' draws from over nine months of studio sessions all the way from Paris and Utrecht to Barcelona and Rome. A tense and reeling monster of a release that would seem aimed at leaving you breathless - and setting dance floors on fire -, you can almost picture Tristano hunched over a grand piano, hammering away like a madman for the five tracks that take us from ‚Dminorloop' split personality with its build-ups and deconstructions to the driving ‚Sarasani', on to ‚Stekker Sound Driver' decaying bassline and ‚Gaza World Cup' chest-thumping roll. It all ends on a lighter note with ‚Place on Lafayette' almost psychedelic keys - actually recorded on Lafayette Place, in Detroit. Techno, Electronica, classical? Its been said a good artist is one who can defy genres and titles, and we'll be damned if there was a bigger defyer than Francesco Tristano.
"This is, in the words of the great Paul Frick, 'elektronische Körpermusik'. Plainly, time to get physical... I am absolutely thrilled to have a release here."

Info text:
The tireless explorer that is Francesco Tristano returns this fall with a new solo album whose title, Idiosynkrasia, is almost an artistic manifesto. “This record is the fruit of a quest for an idiosyncratic
language that is somewhere between acoustic and electronic, a quest that spans time and space, and I want to bring the piano into the 21st century. My ambition is to provide the piano with a new identity, because it is often associated with classical music and viewed as an instrument of the past, while I genuinely see it as an instrument of the future.” To make this futuristic, sound-odyssey of an album, Francesco was keen to team up with Carl Craig, a long-favored traveling companion. And this is why the album took shape in Detroit, at the Planet E studios. “Carl and Detroit played an essential part. Some of the tracks wouldn’t even exist or might have sounded completely different if I hadn’t recorded in Detroit. The city’s atmosphere, the people I worked with and the equipment in the studio, all of it had a great influence on me. The wealth of equipment there provided me with an endless source of ideas and sounds. To me, Planet E was the Mecca of sound. Since then, I’ve never looked at Detroit in the same way, as it is there I experienced so many mind-blowing things while making Idiosynkrasia. I learned so much.” The influence of Detroit-bred techno shines through here and there quite unmistakably, especially on the astounding Hello – Inner Space Dub, which is driven by a relentless propeller of a piano line. But it is by no means the only hue tingeing the album, exuding as it does the very soul of Detroit. The city is one of the birthplaces of techno and, via Motown, a flagship for soul and rhythm’n’blues, and black music in general. Evocative of a kind of minimal neo-funk, Eastern Market perpetuates this tradition very strikingly.
Fundamentally polychromatic, evolving ceaselessly from one mode to the next, Idiosynkrasia nevertheless proves to be perfectly coherent and reveals, in fine, an extra-large conception of music.

Info text:
"Classical music renegade Francesco Tristano is known for his inventive approach to the genre. On one hand a virtuoso pianist, specialising in baroque music and contemporary composition; on the other an electronic music fan. The end result is intoxicating and wonderfully executed on Not For Piano.
A collection of his own compositions as well as piano interpretations of Detroit techno and electronica classics such as ‘Strings of Life’ by Derrick May, ‘The Bells’ by Jeff Mills, and ‘Overand’ by Autechre."

Shortinfo:
Arguably one of Get Physical’s most influential tracks, ‘O Superman’ sees a new release with remixes
from Man Power and SIS alongside the 2008 version from Robag Whrume and a remaster of the now
classic original.
Man Power kicks off the new interpretations with an epic, ten and half minute version that patiently
stretches the original’s melodies into pads and held bass tones across crisp, micro-house styled beats
before unleashing loose, clattering breakbeats after a striking, extended breakdown.
SIS’s dreamy, percussive version sees the German producer in hypnotic, and tracky form, focussing
on the ebb and flow of the original’s tuneful vocoder and synth work that drift across his perfect
groove.
Robag’s Pumper-Nikkel remix, for those that missed it some years back, is yet another funky,
chopped, sliced and diced piece of work from the playful producer and still sounds as fresh as ever.
M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade feat. Laurie Anderson - O Superman Remixes are released on Get
Physical 12” in late July with a digital release following in the Autumn.

SHORT INFO:
Body Language Vol. 27 marks the return of Get Physical's landmark series, curated this time by Dutch producer Helsloot. Since its launch in the early 2000s with curators like Dixon, Modeselektor, and DJ Hell, Body Language has become one of the most respected compilation formats in electronic music - a series that captures moments in club culture while pointing to the future.
For this new chapter, Helsloot brings his melodic and emotional touch to the project, weaving together exclusive originals, collaborations, and carefully chosen reinterpretations. A special highlight is his remix of the legendary "Body Language" by M.A.N.D.Y. vs. Booka Shade, which bridges the series' heritage with its modern vision.
Across four sides, Helsloot balances intimate songwriting with dancefloor energy, joined by guests including Richard Judge, Pete Josef, Sailor & I, and Beacon. The result is both a personal artistic statement and a continuation of the Body Language legacy - a timeless journey designed for deep listening as well as club play.

A2 DJ Pierre - What Is House Muzik (Acapella Tool)
B1 DJ Pierre - What Is House Music (Ricardo Villalobos What Is Dub - Emanuel Satie Edit)
B2 DJ Pierre - What Is House Music (Jazzuelle's Deeper Acid Mix)
SHORT INFO:
This is another vital instalment of Get Physical Music's classic reissue series, which is now scheduled for a vinyl release. It features a track first released in 1994 and was also part of DJ Pierre's Wild Pitch: The Story album back in 2017. It comes with an Emmanuel Satie edit of the Ricardo Villalobos Dub and a stellar remix from South Africa's Jazzuelle, first released in 2017.
DJ Pierre's name is forever synonymous with house music, particularly the acid sound he pioneered in the' 80s. Staying true to the underground since then, he's consistently released vital tracks, innovated with his Wild Pitch style and now his Afro Acid label. Pierre continues to push boundaries with each new outing while this reissue proves that his earliest works are still some of house music's best ever.
'What is House Muzik' is an almost 10-minute masterpiece that's perfectly designed for gritty warehouse spaces and comes complete with an anthemic vocal monologue. It's dark and distorted with monstrous kicks and oversized hi-hats, a frazzled lead synth line and a marching groove that is lit up with strobe-lit details to get hands in the air. The original also comes alongside an acapella version.
Next up, we have an edit from melodic master Emmanuel Satie, who takes Fellow Ricardo Villalobos's epic 36-minute 'What Is Dub' version and splices it into a floor-friendly and perfectly paced 7-and-a-half-minute edit. Originally dropping in 2015, it now sees its way onto vinyl for the first time. Finally, South Africa electronic production don Jazzuelle drops a remix that lives up to its name with a dive into the deeper realms of acid.

SHORT INFO:
Helsloot announces debut album 'Never Tried' arriving on Get Physical this May.
Thomas Helsloot's debut album comes on the heels of a run of great releases on Get Physical Music. He is a master of melody who has released on the likes of Domino, remixed Bob Moses and Fritz Kalkbrenner and secured huge streaming numbers such as 400m plays for his track 'Because You Move Me'. His freshman LP, 'Never Tried,' sees him distil everything to date into something profoundly personal and engaging.
Says the artist, "My debut album is mainly about me, which was the hardest thing to do for a people pleaser. I tried digging as deep as I could and ignored every trend to explain it to every future me in its purest way. It's a translation of the excitement but also the insecurity you feel when trying something new."
'Mirrors' opens up in absorbing fashion with a signature deep house groove before 'It's Alright' feat. Malou sends shivers down the spine with its angelic vocal and icy beats. There is a rueful feel to the well-crafted pads that soar above the warm rhythms of 'Midnight Fog' and after the wispy cosmic synths and brooding bass weight of the fantastically serene 'Outburst' comes the masterful melancholic album single 'One Step' featuring Ninja Tune artist Jono McCleery.
As the journey continues and Helsloot's evocative synths keep bringing seriously potent emotions, there are darker drums to 'Disco Maxi' and silky arpeggios that lift you to the heavens on 'Beautiful Losers' (feat. Rangleklods). Elsewhere, Helsloot collaborates with Tinlicker on the languid 'Hideaway' with a bittersweet bassline, whilst 'Lowlands' keeps your head amongst the stars with its celestial melodic glow and airy house drums. 'Let's Pretend' is the standout closer with its retro 80s synth sounds and snappy beats, sending you off with a sense of great resolve.
Helsloot's 'Never Tried' releases on Get Physical Music on the 10th of May. The record will be supported by two release shows - one on May 9 at Melkweg, Amsterdam, and one on May 10 at Ritter Butzke, Berlin.

GENRE/S:
Techno, House
TRACKLIST:
A Roland Leesker - Respect
B Roland Leesker - Respect (Robert Hood Remix)
SHORT INFO:
Roland Leesker has kept the legendary Get Physical label right at the forefront of the scene in his years at the helm. His music has been a small but vital part of that: he doesn't release often, but when he does it is timeless house music that always makes its mark. As well as a steady stream of singles, he also curated and mixed the crucial 20 x Get Physical compilation back in 2022. He has collaborated with greats of the scene like DJ Pierre, Roland Clark and Terrence Parker and will soon serve up his latest sonic statement with new full-length 'Searching For Peace' which will arrive in August following two more singles after this one.
The brilliant 'Respect' is a spritely and serene deep techno journey. The shimmering chords echo early Detroit techno and the supple drums are packed with warmth and bounce. Together they make for a cut that subtly uplifts as it unfolds in an engaging fashion over seven fantastic minutes.
Remixer Robert Hood is one of the foundational figures of techno. The Motor City innovator works under his own name and as Floorplan and has mastered the art of seductive loops, whether making stripped-back minimal or gospel-laced house. Here, he flips 'Respect' into a thumping and emotionally intense cut with faster drums than the original but just as much machine soul and a little extra texture in the percussion.

TRACKLIST:
A1 Rework - You're So Just Just (Rework Just Edit)
A2 Rework - You're So Just Just (Troxler x Crosson Remix)
B Rework - You're So Just Just (Cinthie Remix)
SHORT INFO:
Rework's classic 2002 cut 'You're So Just Just' gets fresh remixes from Troxler X Crosson and Cinthie alongside an updated version from the act themselves.
Underground mainstays Rework released this standout track on the legendary Playhouse label and it is one that established them as pioneers right from the off. It was followed by several vital albums and releases on the same label, as well as the likes of Visionquest and exlove records.
Here, they revisit their original, which features vocals from Laetitia, and update its cold minimal grooves with fresh energy. The bass rolls deep, and the drums are snappy and upright as the edgy chords keep things full of suspense. Laetitia's soulful stylings are cut up and smeared through the mix to make for a brilliantly driving and emotive track.
Visionquest co-founders and long-time techno talents Seth Troxler and Ryan Crosson also pair off for a remix. Their version is full of trippy sound designs and wiggling hooks. It's a tightly interwoven minimal groove with an afterparty feel, and the original vocals bring their own seductive vibe.
The second remix comes from much-loved Berlin native Cinthie, who runs the Elevate store and 803 Crystal Grooves label. She recently served up a fantastic mix for the legendary DJ Kicks series and brings her timeless sound to this remix. It is raw, dusty and perfect for sweaty basements, as its hypnotic loops and punchy kick patterns are draped in old-school chord vamps.
This is a great update to a dance music classic from a fine selection of scene favourites.

B2 James Curd & Osunlade - Chocolate Puddin' (FNX Omar Remix)
SHORT INFO:
Two accomplished house mainstays come together on Get Physical Music as James Curd joins forces with the legendary Osunlade for superb new single 'Chocolate Puddin'' while FNX Omar and Kai Alcé step up with their own remixes.
Curd came up as a DJ in Chicago and has gone on to become a mainstay of the scene. He is also credited with inventing G-Swing, a house sound infused with swing. He has run various labels over the years while releasing on some of the world's finest imprints and serving up his magical sets everywhere from fabric in London to The Avalon in Los Angeles and The Arches in Glasgow. American Osunlade meanwhile has deep spiritual roots in Yoruba traditions that are also reflected in the name of his record label. He makes music with a rare spirituality as proven once again here.
The superb 'Chocolate Puddin'' is silky smooth deep and Afro-tinged house with gorgeous percussive melodies and soft shakers. It's full of soul and warmth with meaningful leads that bring plenty of uplifting emotions next to a bluesy vocal.
Atlanta's house mainstay and a long-time underground favourite Kai Alcé then remixes. His version is more pacey but no less deep - the jazzy chords are seductively draped over the cuddly deep drums and the vocal has a more soulful edge. Osunlade also offers his own Yoruba Soul mix which is a hi-tek sound with futuristic synth chords and uplifting house drums. Last to remix is Moroccan mainstay and label regular FNX Omar. He flips the track into something that is richly layered with percussion and nimble bass, organic hand claps and hypnotic drum lines that all sink you in deep.
This package is as delicious as its name suggests.

M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade - B2. M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade - Body Language (Original)
Get Physical strides into its 21st year with a reissue of one of its most iconic tunes. M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka
Shade's 'Body Language' has been remastered for the occasion and will be available on vinyl, as well as
digitally and on streaming platforms for the first time ever, with new remixes from HOSH and Patrice
Bäumel.
Tracklist:
01 M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade - Body Language (Patrice Bäumel Remix)
02 M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade - Body Language (HOSH Remix )
03 M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade - Body Language (Original)
M.A.N.D.Y. aka Patrick Bodmer and Philipp Jung, and Booka Shade, aka Walter Merziger and Arno
Kammermeier, are Get Physical co-founders alongside DJ T., and 'Body Language' is one of the label's, as well
as dance music's, biggest ever tunes. Released in 2005, it defined an entire generation of house music and
spawned myriad copycats in its wake as well as making household names of the artists behind it. It became an
instant classic that worked as well in cosy clubs as it did on festival main stages and it has remained an
ever-green house anthem. The influential track has been sampled many times over the years but nothing beats
the original.
The chunky house drums still sound from the future today, with fleshy hits and warming bass. What makes it such
a standout track, though, is the gorgeous melodic hook that rides up and down the scale. Those soft focus notes
are full of subtle but playful soul that never fails to unify a crowd, bring smiles to faces, and get hands in the air.
The first to remix is acclaimed German artist Patrice Bäumel. He is a master of stylish and deep house and techno
with expressive synth work on labels like Kompakt and his own HALO. His superb version is a complete overhaul
with deeper drums and a sense of late-night tension that is released in glorious fashion when the iconic melody
comes in. It's the sort of tune that is suited to 4 am dance floors and will take things to the next level. The second
remix comes from fellow German HOSH. For many years a core part of the Diynamic family he is also the founder
of the fryhide imprint and an assured underground talent. He layers in some fresh and airy breakbeats to power
along an expansive remix. After a long and atmospheric build with plenty of cosmic synth work, the original
melody arrives during a breakdown and then plays out over the suspensory grooves.
This is a superb package that brings a widely loved favourite back to the fore with contemporary remixes and a
fresh remaster.

SHORT INFO:
Three years after Reno Wurzbacher’s entry into the series, Cook Strummer now offers up his own Berlin Gets Physical, a collection of all-new and exclusive tracks.
Berlin-based, Belgium-born Strummer has been a Get Physical associate for several years. He has dropped various singles including the standout 'Rising' which also featured on the Words Don't Come Easy series, and always crafts the perfect mix of rhythm and melody with plenty of hints of his homeland's famous cold wave sound. He often uses his own voice, drum machines, synths and guitars in his music, and since his debut album in 2018 on LOK Recordings, he has had high profile support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Adam Port and Ame. This summer, he dropped 'Atmosphere' on Obsolet Records which proved another successful outing and now Berlin Gets Physical finds him digging deep into the famous city's freshest and most essential house sounds across 15 well-sequenced tracks.
His own new offering 'For Berlin' kicks off with a dark and edgy vibe, gothic vocals and tense drums. Glitchy hits and blurting synths add to the prickly atmosphere and immediately lock you in while Los Cabra & Manuel Sahagun's 'Italian Groove' then takes off on waves of serrated dark disco synths and Freudenthal feat. Nowhere People continue that macho disco vibe with the rugged chug and cosmic rays of 'Cipher.'
The twinkling 'Bad Karma' by Marvin Jam & Le Mythe then allows you to catch your breath with a slower, more spacious dub disco sound and the twanging bass riffs and exotic effects of Daniel Jaeger & Valenti's 'Quarantine Cowboys' rebuilds the atmosphere with some innovative house blues. The mid-section brings brain-frying synth work on 'Out Of The Blue', bubbling dub house and disco courtesy of dramasquad's sprawling 'ziggy' and percussive deep house looseness from 'Abayomi.'
After KEENE's rubbery and rolling Afro sounds comes more cosmic house richness from Dan Buri and Max Joni & MUKKIMIAU, the driving tech of Red Pig Flower & Lulla and heady sounds of Mike Book. There is a raw house heaviness to FreedomB's 'State of Shock' and things shut down with Electronic Elephant's tightly coiled minimal drum funk on 'Ask Yourself'.
This on point collection is an authentic snapshot of the contemporary underground sound of the Berlin.

Get Physical Music kicks off 2022 with another of their classic vinyl releases featuring Chelonis R. Jones' enduring underground hit 'I Don't Know' with a superb new remix from Oscar L and two classic remixes from Butch and Herbert.
Chelonis R. Jones is the California-born, New York-based poet, singer and writer who has released several albums, both as a solo artist and in collaboration. Most famously, he co-wrote and sang on Ro?yksopp's '49 Percent,' while 'I Don't Know' remains a much-loved house track. The original is a heavyweight house groove with taught drums and slapping hits. The seductive vocal is packed with warmth and soul and is what makes this one such a classic.
The fresh new remix comes from Oscar L, a house and tech mainstay of the last 15 years. His personal sound comes with a rich array of left-of-centre references and has won him the support of the likes of Richie Hawtin and Adam Beyer. After signing with labels like Drumcode and Knee Deep In Sound he now showcases his style on this fantastic remix. It is a fulsome version with big, pumping drums and a steamy intensity that is heightened by the passionate vocal. As the track builds to the breakdown the crowd will be in raptures before it kicks off in style once again.
Next come two previously released but still vital remixes. The first is from the hugely prolific Butch. He has defined house music over the last decade with tunes on all the great labels, collabs with Ricardo Villalobos and characterful sets all over the world. His take is rooted in deep minimal drums. The track builds slowly with soulful synths adding colour before the iconic vocal arrives and sends shivers down the spine. Herbert is the second remixer and a bonafide legend of the electronic music world. His famously eccentric production techniques and definitive club tracks remain in a class of their own. His take on the original is typically individual, with layers of sleek synths and elastic harmonies overlaid with the carefully treated vocal.
This is a package of timeless house sounds that span the ages.

Tracklist 12"
A1 Roland Leesker - No Way Out
B1 Roland Leesker - No Way Out (Scan7 No Way Out Remix)
B2 Roland Leesker - No Way Out (Francesco Tristano No Hay Marcha Atra?s Remix)
Shortinfo
Roland Leesker makes another essential outing on Get Physical with new single 'No Way Out.' Landing on vinyl and digital, it comes with remixes from Detroit heroes Scan7 and the multi-faceted Francesco Tristano.
Leesker most recently appeared on the mighty Get Physical with his collaborative Roland Clark release 'WTF!' last summer and with his superb cover of 'Crazy' towards the close of the year. Now he is back with what could be his most significant release to date, a record co-produced with Neil Barber at Hot Kitchen Studios in Berlin.
'No Way Out' is a classically informed house tune with jacking drums and warm, rich basslines. An old school, Chicago-style male vocal brings a sense of edginess while twitchy synths and smooth chords are sure to get hands in the air.
Motor City collective Scan7 is a perfect choice to remix. They bring all the fearlessness, electronic soul, and staunchly underground sounds that have made them scene icons for 20 years. Their superb remix is deep and dynamic. Synth strings bring a sense of soul and serenity, glossy pads layer in human emotions, and the drums brim with vitality.
Francesco Tristano is a pianist and composer who always brings elegance to his music. He draws on a classical and jazz understanding to cook up experimental electronic music for the likes of InFine, Deutsche Grammophon and Sony Classical. He flips the track into a seductive piece of minimalism. The scuffed hi-hats, broken drums, and louche chords add up to a graceful, floating rhythm. It suspends you in mid-air as a female voice whispers and giggles in your ear with a playful sense of charm.
The 'No Way Out' package is a masterclass in house music that joins authentic roots with fresh future styles.

Tracklist 12":
A1 Cioz - Lucky Shot
A2 Cioz - Rain
B1 Cioz - Cookie Man
B2 M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade - Body Language (Cioz Remix)
Shortinfo:
Get Physical continues to tease the upcoming Body Language Vol 23 with an EP of standout tracks
from Cioz, the man who has put it all together.
Cioz is a wholly self-taught producer who has written his own rules. He is the man behind Knobs Bergamo, a community-based creative hub in Bergamo (Italy) where artists unite, collaborate, develop
ideas and create, and is a label regular who has also appeared on Monaberry and Einmusika. His
upcoming Body Language mix is a mouth-watering selection of red hot contemporary tracks from his
peers, as well as plenty of his own vital creations.
Two of the tracks on it and now appearing here were first released digitally back in 2018 as part of his
Lucky Man EP on Get Physical. They are 'Lucky Shot', an eight-minute deep house adventure with warm synths, and 'Cookie Man,' an equally epic eight-minute house masterclass that bubbles invitingly but never boils over, thus keeping you on edge throughout.
The other two tunes are brand new and exclusive and feature on the Body Language album. 'Rain' is a
liquid affair with nice loose synths and drums, plenty of melancholic synth emotions and a seductive
sense of groove. Finally, his remix of M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade's 'Body Language' brings some playful funk, evocative melody and live drums sounds to the iconic original.
These are four more high-class tracks from what promises to be another landmark Body Language

B2 M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade feat. Laurie Anderson - O Superman (Robag's Pumper-Nikkel 2008 Rmks)

DJ T. - B2 - DJ T. - Dis (Roland Leesker Acid String Edit)
In early 2020, for the first time on vinyl, Get Physical serve up a much loved DJ T. tune along with classic remixes from Solomun and Kink and a new one from Roland Leesker.
Tracklist 12":
A1 DJ T. - Dis
A2 DJ T. - Dis (KiNK Remix)
B1 DJ T. - Dis (Solomun Remix)
B2 DJ T. - Dis (Roland Leesker Acid Strings Edit)
Shortinfo:
The original first came out in 2009 but remains a staple underground tune. 'Dis' is built on a jittery vocal loop that gets you on edge, while big claps and tribal drums eventually drop to make sure the floor explodes.
Bulgarian techno wizard, live maestro and generally raucous groove maker KiNK is behind an excellent remix which goes for Detroit styled, hi tech and soulful enriched sounds with glistening synths and futuristic atmospheres.
Diynamic label boss and global house icon Solomun then flips the original into a real party starter, with chopped chords, icy hi-hats and old school energy that is colourful and playful in equal measure.
New to the package is a Roland Leesker Acid Strings Edit from Get Physical's always on point Creative Director. His deep, driving, late night version is perfect for waking things up, with busy 303 and splashes of hi hat all arresting your attention.
This vital vinyl release comes just ahead of the much anticipated new album from DJ T.,
which is due in March 2020.

Samim - Heater (FNX Omar Remix)
Info:
12 years after Samim scored a worldwide underground smash with his massive 'Heater' tune, Get Physical re-release a fantastic packages of remixes with new versions from Tube & Berger, Diplo and FNX Omar.
It was impossible to dance in 2007 without someone dropping 'Heater' at some point in the set. It still sounds as quirky, inventive and left of centre now as it did then. The fresh 2019 remaster beefs up the drums, crystallises the Colombian cumbia lead sample and it's not hard to see this being big once again this summer.

Tracklist
A1 Kone Kone - Come Closer

B Kone Kone - Come Closer (Reboot`s Muscleflexx Rework)
Short Info
For their next trick, Get Physical treats everyone to a taste of their latest big project, India Gets Physical, with a single from Kone Kone that includes remixes from Reboot and Todh Teri (who will be curating and mixing the bumper forthcoming compilation).
Mumbai’s Kone Kone has an unconventional DJ style, creating audio-visual productions that are “a new route to discover old media.” Kone Kone's electronic sounds explore Indian musical practices with a lo-fi finish, including references taken from disco, funky basslines and rolling toms. This superb latest track is a tribute to Indian cinema’s ‘80s dance music.
Entitled "Come Closer," it is a brilliantly loose and louche house track propped up by elastic bass. A whole world of instrumentation and exotic percussion enrich the groove while female vocal coos and soulful pads bring rich colours to lift the listener.
Remixer Todh Teri is behind the acclaimed Deep In India release series and is at theheart of the revival of Indian cinematic sounds, where Bollywood sounds are reworked?for the modern dance floor. His brilliant version has heavier drums doing big loops and pulling you further in each time as the synths bring cosmic vibes. Last of all, label stalwart Reboot’s Muscleflexx Remix is darker and more edgy, with late night dance floors in mind as the pulsing synths and slippery drums gradually unravel.
This is a great introduction to the next exciting chapter in Get Physical’s country- focused compilation series.

RELEASE:
Two years after releasing the acclaimed Crash Recoil, Anthony Child aka Surgeon returns to Tresor with new LP, Shell~Wave. Retaining the minimal equipment list and studio-version-of-live-show-sets approach of the previous album in order to focus on
the work itself, Shell~Wave is a deeply personal document of both where Surgeon is and has been, converging three decades of experience with a continued curiosity in the untested.
“To make this project, I had to dig really deep in terms of what my relationship was to techno; I’ve been involved with it for a really long time and there’s a lot about it I feel dislocated from, so I had to really think hard about what techno is to me. I often
get asked “what is techno to you?” but I can’t answer that with words; this album is the answer.” From the complex, twisting track Infinite Eye to the caustic Soul Fire, the eight tracks that make up the body of the album are single-take explorations of the
vast, hard yet minimal techno Child is synonymous with.
Neatly dividing the record in two, the emotional centre of the record comes in the form of Dying, a vibrating, beatless piece that with a mantra-like vocal loop steeped in reverberating effects. Further echoes of dub production appear throughout the record
as tracks like Divine Shadow, and Empty Cloud have an almost ever-present mist of reverberation, driven by the appearance of a new delay unit in the equipment list; while much of the philosophy of Crash Recoil’s creation is present, the process and the
instruments have changed as Child again switches up his approach to studio work.
This insistence on trying novel techniques doesn’t preclude returning to old ones, as this use of modern digital machines with live, hands-on takes that are as inspired by 60s producer Joe Meek and 70s reggae as they are by this year’s synthesiser expos.
“For me, it’s an interesting experience returning to old techniques again after 30 years. [I’m] always exploring and finding myself back at the beginning. Connecting the present with the past.”
This philosophy of ‘time travel’ is inherent to the music itself as the synchronised loops repeat while the delay and effects branch out, forming unique eddies; distinct quantum moments within the circular whole; the future leaking through the spaces
between the sounds. All of the concepts on the album are perfectly communicated through the painting by Taiwanese artist Jazz Szu-Ying Chen which suggests the movement of water, sound waves, and the chitinous shells of sea creatures.

Sven Väth x Wolfgang Haffner - Barbarella (Wolfgang Haffner Jazz Version)
Tracklist:
(1) Sven Väth - Fusion (Wolfgang Haffner Jazz Version) (DE-Q20-25-00065)
(2) Sven Väth - L'Esperanza (Wolfgang Haffner Jazz Version) (DE-Q20-25-00066)
(3) Sven Väth - Barbarella (Wolfgang Haffner Jazz Version) (DE-Q20-25-00067)
Info:
Wolfgang Haffner is one of Europe's most respected jazz drummers, known for his impeccable sense of timing, groove, and atmosphere. Though rooted in jazz, his musical language transcends genre boundaries, guided by pulse and subtle nuance rather than tradition alone. For Cocoon Recordings, he now enters an entirely new dialogue, offering warm, organic reinterpretations that honor the spirit of the source material while opening a fresh sonic horizon. The result is a meeting of two artistic worlds where Sven Väth's timeless energy and Haffner's refined touch flow naturally into a new musical form, an encounter between two artistic universes, merging into something both unexpected and deeply musical.
Fusion is a groove driven piece built around a clear, flowing melody, allowing Haffner to reinterpret it acoustically through a jazz lens. Its straight, driving pulse lets him explore the track's rhythmic and melodic interplay with clarity and nuance.
L'Esperanza, originally a dreamy, trance like track, envelops listeners in strings, filtered downbeats, and a playful synth melody, a perfect canvas for Haffner's warm, organic touch. Its ethereal layers and subtle tension allow him to explore the track's emotional depth while preserving its entrancing charm.
Barbarella, emblematic of Sven Väth's early 90s vision, carries the energy and innovation of a club classic. Haffner's reinterpretation transforms it into a rich, acoustic exploration that honors its hypnotic essence. By emphasizing the track's iconic motifs and underlying drive, and by drawing out the track's essential elements, he bridges its electronic origins with a new, organic perspective.
Together, these three reinterpretations form a cohesive journey that celebrates the timeless essence of Sven Väth's music while revealing a new dimension through Haffner's masterful touch, a release that invites listeners to experience familiar classics in a completely new light.

Selah Sue was not destined to become an artist. "I grew up in a really little town in Belgium, and none of my family was into music," reveals the twenty-one year old, with refreshing sincerity. "As a kid, I wanted to be a ballerina. I danced from the age of six to twelve".
Even without romanticising it, her story is like a fairy tale. It's the story of a young musician who ignores her fate, and pours her anxieties into her songs and her guitar. "I had all these worries and depressions that I wrote down, it was a way of structuring my thoughts".
She turns her doubts into soul, funk and reggae melodies, trying hard to be worthy of her idols, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu and Bob Marley. She sings in local clubs on the weekend and attends high school during the week. She records in home-studios, at friends houses, and publishes drafts of her songs on Myspace, without a thought of making a career in music.
What happens next seems almost unreal. Thousands of fans respond to her on the net, attracting the attention of professionals, and the interest of Because Music, which eventually leads to a record deal for the young musician. Then Farhot (Nneka) and Patrice take on the production of her first album. Meshell Ndegeocello stays with her in the studio for two days to produce the track "Mommy". Cee-Lo Green agrees to accompany her on a duet and ends up asking her to put the track ("Please") on his own album. And, last but not least, last autumn Prince offered her a coveted support slot at his show in Antwerp, Belgium.
To put it in a nutshell, in just two years, Selah Sue has fulfilled her dreams. To keep her grounded, she has insisted on keeping the songs she wrote during her teens for her debut album. It's a way of reminding the world that she has not been unfairly spoiled by destiny and that before Prince, Cee-Lo Green, radio play and incredible press, there was just a teenage girl, with her guitar, who was chosen spontaneously by fans on the net.
For example, her first single "Raggamuffin" is one of her oldest songs and was viewed more than a million times online. "This track symbolizes me" she explains. "It shows my soulful and singing side, but also my hard side, between rap and ragga. When my manager asked me who I wanted to work with, I said Farhot straight away, as I'm a fan of Nneka. But I also wanted an intimate, dark, melodious record, with light and lively beats. Farhot is crazy about digital sounds and Patrice, who I know well, was the ideal man for the melodious part. They were my two accomplices in the studio."
Her first album is ambitious. It is a smart melting pot between electric rock, organic hip-hop and soul-funk. The twelve tracks shift from poignant ballads like "Mommy" to wilder styles like "Crazy Vibes". Like Janelle Monae, M.I.A. or Aloe Blacc, Selah Sue belongs to a new generation for whom music has no boundaries. Selah Sue will tour her new record in the Spring.

The Label:
Forever Records
Music springs eternal. Recognising the enduring power of timeless albums to guide us through life, Forever Records is a reissue series dedicated to rediscovering lost musical treasures from across the spectrum of head-feeding, heart-rending electronic music.
Established by Rush Hour co-founder Christiaan Macdonald and Delsin founder Marsel van der Wielen, Forever Records places heartfelt faith in a carefully curated sequence of seminal, largely forgotten records from disparate eras, scenes and spaces within electronic music history. Tipped towards the mellow and introspective, these are albums that stop time when the needle hits the groove, stirring only when it's time to flip over before you sink back into the experience. That's what albums were always meant to be about, back then, right now, always and forever.
The Release:
Striking the sweet spot between sampledelic downtempo and earth-rooted deep house, Fila Brazillia's Old Codes New Chaos is a maverick patchwork of grooves and soundscapes. Crafted in North East England in the vibrant period before chill-out was co-opted by advertising, Steve Cobby and Dave McSherry's sharp-eared funk formula remains a cult classic suite of exquisite productions spanning deep house, broken beat and ambient shot through with wry humour.
Last physically released in limited quantities in 2002, Forever Records are revisiting this 1994 gem with an extensive reissue led by a triple vinyl pressing, newly mastered from the original mixdowns. There will also be a limited edition, 4LP edition including bonus tracks 'Rankine' (Live at Bounce), 'Chemistry' and 'Rankine', plus an exclusive print of Catherine Brennand's watercolour painting that graces the front of the album. Press response to Old Codes New Chaos:
"The album that made the world finally sit up and take notice of the avant funk grooves coming from Hull's immaculately stoned tech funk magicians." Frank Tope, Mixmag, UK 1994.
"This album… stands out a mile from most of its peers as a work of untouchable genius." Bill Brewster, DJ Mag UK 1994.
"Fila works because they fit into that no man’s land, the space in your record collection where ambient seems too much like wallpaper and house seems just too braindead for your bedroom " Frank Tope, Mixmag, UK 1994.
"Having already created the perfect desert island disc, "Mermaids" and explored the darker side of sub bass on the 17-minute extravaganza "Fila Funk", Fila Brazillia have just unleashed their moving debut LP, "Old Codes New Chaos", and to be quite honest, you'd be fool to miss out this time around." Mandi James, Melody Maker, UK 1994.
“Where Cobby and Man rip up the rulebook on the four to the floor and probably make the greatest afterhours house album in the word”. Tony Marcus, Mixmag, 1996.

A limited edition, gold disc CD housed in a digi-pack will also be available. All editions also features liner notes by veteran music journalist John McCready.

Deadbeat And Paul St Hilaire - Peace And Love
With Dub Techno firmly back on the menu in clubs the world over, Deadbeat, at long last, resissues what is perhaps his greatest collaborative work with Paul St Hilaire aka Tikiman. A true genre masterclass, as the name suggests,. the album infinitely showcases 2 Titans of the form at their very best, and 10 years on, remains a stone-cold classic. Re-cut by their old friend Stefan Betke aka Pole at Scape Mastering who first cut it to wax so many years ago, this 1- year anniversary edition is a crucial showcase of 2 masters at work.

SHORT INFO:
The sea has long been central to Japanese culture, symbolizing both sustenance and spiritual
depth. Charles A.D.'s Deep Diver draws inspiration from this, channeling the ancient traditions
of diving and fishing into his music. Historically, the sea has influenced everything from Shinto
rituals to the livelihoods of coastal communities. In Deep Diver, this reverence flows through
aquatic soundscapes, where rhythmic waves of 90s house and Detroit techno meet Japanese
minimal production techniques, New Age and Pacific Jazz. Like the tides, the album ebbs and
flows, creating a serene yet dynamic homage to the timeless connection between Japan and
the sea.
The opening track 'Deep Diver' plunges into the depths, its abstract sound design capturing the
sensation of deep-sea propulsion. Rhythmic bubbles pulse gently alongside slow-moving
chords, creating an otherworldly atmosphere. The textures are lush yet restrained, setting a
tranquil stage that pulls the listener into a submerged world. 'Underwater Ruins' builds on this
aquatic theme, introducing rhythmic layers and bass-heavy notes reminiscent of mid-90s
Japanese ambient techno. The smooth, melodic flow nods to pioneers like Mr.YT and Susumu
Yokota, while subtly incorporating the Detroit techno influence through soulful, deep basslines.
The track feels like a fusion of ambient and techno, balancing serene tones with a rolling
groove, emblematic of Japanese techno soul. As the album progresses into 'Bubble Ring', it
becomes clear that Charles A.D. is a master of minimalism. The production is timeless, leaning
on analog techniques where echo-drenched chords and carefully layered soundscapes take on
an addictive, hypnotic quality. The simplicity of the composition is deceptive, as each element
carries weight, drawing the listener deeper into the rhythm and space between the notes.
'Merperson' is where organic rhythms truly come into play. Charles A.D. gently evolves the
patterns, allowing each percussive hit to flow naturally into the next. Soothing melodies emerge
from within the track’s structure, eventually reaching an emotional peak without ever feeling
forced. The organic nature of the arrangement creates an effortless progression that feels
deeply connected to the natural movement of water.Starting the second half with 'Deep Exploration', the theme of underwater excursions becomes
even more pronounced. Light, steady drumming anchors the track, allowing the melodic layers
to develop gradually. It unfolds with a calm, measured pace, before ending softly, almost as if
the sounds are drifting off into the oceanic depths. 'Diffuse Reflection' stands out as the most
dub house-influenced on the album, with rolling rhythms and hypnotic elements reminiscent of
Maurizio's deep, pulsing sound. Yet here, the production feels submerged, with aquatic effects
swirling around the rhythmic core, blending dub house with a fluid, oceanic touch. 'Traitors'
delves even deeper into dub-inspired territory. Deep, resonant bass hits combine with wooden
drums, while static-like sounds evoke the image of a radio tuning through static to find clarity.
Chords shimmer briefly before fading back into the liquid depths, evoking the ebb and flow of
the tide. The final track on Deep Diver 'Levitation', is a fitting conclusion, as the rhythms merge
and overlap like waves gently lapping the shore. The minimalistic arrangement allows each
element to blend effortlessly into the next, creating a sense of unity and closure. The sounds
move with the gentle grace of water, ending the album in a way that feels both complete and
open-ended, like the infinite motion of the sea.
