After a long hiatus there finally is a new Junktion EP release on Outplay. As "Wide Awake EP" was released way back 2016 it was a long time coming!
The A-side consists of two amped up disco house treatments with "Just A Disco Thing" and "Real To Me": stomping kicks and heavy basses together with disco goodness. While on the other side a more introspective aspect of Junktion comes to light in the form of the understated funkiness of "I Got Somebody" and dreamy melodies in "Tribute".
As Junktion himself says: "We've been playing most of these tracks while touring as Fouk to great effect and it feels so good to get these out there on this release! They're a tribute to the scene and everybody who has supported my music."

Now four releases in, Razor-N-Tape Reserve continues to deliver the deepness with this EP from the Netherlands' Junktion. Although a relative upstart on the scene, Junktion has been getting some serious heads nodding lately with releases on Sleazy Beats and Outplay, and the Hot & Bothered EP continues to define his dusty and organic sound. From the summery ease of the title track, to the fresh take on the oft-sampled 'I'm Wishin' to the discofied chugger 'Fling Cleaning' followed by the slow-burning 'Visions of You,' this EP is a beautiful listen from beginning to end. And the kids are gonna dig it too.

For the 10th release of the label we have a solid EP by the label owner, Rhythm&Soul. After few strong releases on other labels it's time to put some warm vibes and juicy beats on his own label. Slow Town X has an old school taste but sounds very fresh at the same time. Serious grooves ahead! "Lost grooves" is a hypnotic track that keeps you dancing and flying from the beginning till the end. "Cookies" is a classic sampling house track with fat 909 beats. A tribute to a big Hip hop producer that passed away (for those who know!). And finally "When he goes deep" is a long one-side track that drives you through a deep trip while a female voice reminds you what it sounds like when he goes deep. A release full of rhythm and soul of course.

We have the pleasure to include in our catalogue a grooveless track by the outstanding house head, Da Sunlounge. One of the most prolific UK's House artist of the last 15 years having release music in labels like Detour, 2020Vision, Tango or Double Down. Oh Momma was originally released on GoodFamilly records almost 10 years ago. We have been playing it for years now so we decided to release again this catchy house track including some fresh remixes. The original track has been remastered and refreshed by Da Sunlounge for this release. A groovy track with catchy vocals and jazzy piano samples that drives you back to the early 2000's House sound. On the B side The Groove Brothers (Jef K and Rhythm&Soul) and Rhythm&Soul made two reworks. The first one takes the original track into an hypnotic side with a huge basse line. B1, keeps the jazzy side with another piano sample and a strong groove. Both reworking the original cut by keeping the groovy and moody sound of Da Sunlounge's track.

We always dreamt about releasing this EP in our label. Since we discover it, it has been heavy played in each Slow Town party. QX1 is in the town with an outstanding EP from 1992. Slowtown 03 welcomes the spring time with a colorful release. One of Stown favorite fellas and admired artists Jef K (Silver Network, Paris) joins with SlowTowns label owner Rhythm&Soul to release The Groove Maker as the third release of the cosmopolitan label. With a mix of textures The Groove Maker EP goes from the smooth Brazilian house of Copacabana Blues, to the "detroitish" mood of The Groove Maker or an uptempo house dancefloor banger which is "U Know What I'm Sayin'". Slow Town track, the first cut we did for the label, and the one which named our imprint, closes the release with a magic touch of soul and paused classic house.
