Exium - Low Pressure Discharge
It's been a while now since dance music stopped suddenly and also it's been a while since the Exium duo released stuff here at home.
Hector and Valentin have been busy in their studios during these uncertain days, extracting the best out of their minds and tools to create this four tracker. If you are familiar with the Exium sound over the years, you can feel here a sort of comeback to their primitive roots. The sound is harsher, more violent, the components are a chosen few but well standing in the mix, the rhythms are broken and twisted. Nothing easy for the ear. If you push the boundaries like they do, there's still hope in techno as a constantly new and risky journey. Totally the opposite of cloning what is done.
"Ascendo" relies on a broken kick surrounded by industrial noises and distorted textures. Merciless
"Atheris" uses again nonlinear drums as the basement, spicing the recipe with overdriven pads and abstract sonic elements.
"Cyclotron" is the only 4/4 cut here. A random square wave distorted synth line is the leitmotiv, joined by different layers of sonic components creating an aggressive sci-fi joint.
"Low Pressure Discharge" closes the release returning to abstract breaks as foundation, with metallic industrial hits on top.
This release is not for the tuff ones or the soft minded. Tradition and futurism all in one. More

Rotating Frames is the new EP for Pole Group by our very own duo Exium. Four tracks of modern and obscure techno, fuelled by heavy sub-bass action.
'Monopoles' opens fire with massive bass frequencies and continuous hat lines, joined by an obsessive sequence that mutates while it moves around the arrangement. The approach of 'Magnetic Flux' is deeper than the previous track, starting with flanged sequences and a subtle bass drum. Bell-like sounds grow from zero until drones and atmospheres appear from the slight breakdown.'Rotating Frames' goes straight to the point and rises the tempos a bit, continues with the flanged and phased sequences and relies on a more percussive vibe.'Early life' is the last number here: robotic FM sounds, effected noise hits, continuous synth lines and a constantly growing structure. 4
exium - B2 | Dronid - Tripeo - Vinyl Edit
Our number 25 is a very special remix pack from Exium's A sensible Alternative to Emotion featuring reworks from Jonas Kopp, Silent Servant, Oscar Mulero and Tripeo. Four different points of view about real techno, from analogue workouts to modern techno vibes, with extra remixes on the digital release.v Silent Servant is the first on duty, taking The 12th Planet as target, reverting it into an arpeggiated sythn monster, hypnotic, repetitive, reverberated, a perfect abstract mixing tool. Jonas Kopp uses subsonic warfare in his reconstruction, with a subterranean beat for starting that soon fills the space with an industrial beat and hi frequency drones...no jokes here. Oscar Mulero gives two remixes from Massless Particle, one for each format, the vinyl one is about flanged synths, clear kicks, a breathing beat and repetition as a therapy, subtle 808 claves and some hi frequency drones complete the menu. The second version is a more liquid approach to the previous one, lower tempos, more reverb and everything under a blurry fog that makes it mental and dubby. Last guest is Tripeo the rising holland producer working two remixes too for Dronid and Parallel computing, Dronid shows the intrincate part of Tripeo's mind, broken beats, sweeping ambient drones, synth bleeps and pads, an ideal intro track for serious techno sets. Parallel Computing suffers the Tripeo treatment at its best, with his raw beats, his crazy step sequences and his analogue bleeps, old school feeling and truly original point of view.
