Poker Flat Recordings drop a new four track EP from Greek Techno / House producer Thanasis Voulgaris. Under his Kindimmer moniker, Voulgaris has been putting out quality dancefloor music since 2010, including a handful of releases already for Steve Bug's iconic Poker Flat label.

'Merge', the title track sets the tone with a killer, propulsive rhythm, adding chopped up organ stabs and shuffling funky percussion. 'Swift Changes' has a similar deft touch, all slinky chords that bring about thoughts of the classic Detroit sound, while adding his own signature take. 'It's Coming' is a little harder, with a booming kick and tricky hats, before opening up into another deep bomb that will keep the more discerning floors in raptures.
'Ride With Me' flexes its funk - the groove jacks a little harder and the vibe is definitely ready to make the basements sweat.

A well deserved second outing on Poker Flat's vinyl only series for Thanasis Voulgaris a.ka. Kindimmer. Born in Greece but now residing in Berlin, Kindimmer's playful and punchy productions see him treading the line between raw house and quality techno, seemingly deeply tuned into the endless energy of the dance floor. The Occhiolism EP presents four equally impressive and totally varied cuts from our man - 'The Subject' an atmospheric and loopy house affair with snappy snares and bubbling bass wobbles. 'Anxiety Society' is more of a raw and aggressive floor slayer, primed for peak time damage with its firing percussion and unrelenting kick, bass and snare axis. 'Your Name of Choice' channels some classic two steps breaks for its rhythmic blueprint, while adding layers of cut up vocals, synths and effects. Last but by no means least, 'Stanza 103' is a straight up banger that builds from a sick techno pulse and mutates into something altogether more groove orientated via intricate drum programming and evolving pads that evoke Detroit's legends. All in all, Kindimmer offers us an amazing glimpse into his sonic world - and a must have piece of wax.

This record puts the seal on his burgeoning reputation for sophisticated and varied house.
'Quite Beachy' teems with subtle textures and dynamic details. A rich, heavy kick and crisp percussion underpin a spooky melodic motif, casting a vibe of eerie suspense and hypnotic intensity. 'Fractions of Essence' veers off into different territory, marrying a rubbery kick to sustained pads and snatches of birdsong. Gliding, smooth and dappled with light and shade, it's the sound of an endless autobahn journey through the heart of a dense forest.
'A Complex Network Of Flaws' and '3 Thoughts' both sit on lo-fi rhythms created from a bricolage of eclectic sounds. The former's abstract arrangement of blue chords evokes Theo Parrish at his most meditative while the latter's funk and sense of swing are sure to prove irresistible on many a peak-time floor

Next number on Claap and it is another special offering. For our 16th release we welcome new kid on the Berlin block Kindimmer. We have had an eye on this upcoming creative spirit in a while and everyone was buzzing at ClaapHQ when we got the tracks that Kindimmer sent over. The grooves on both tracks got us so hooked that we asked Kindimmer to produce locked grooves out of these beauties and turn this release into a locked album! On side A "Workz on dope" is a house groove reminiscent of that MCDE aesthetic but done in Kindimmer's own and unique production attitude. Hailing from Volos its by no luck that we have nicknamed Kindimmer as Volos city drum ensemble! Next to "Workz on dope" we have added 3 locked grooves full of elements appealing to the djs who like to work it while playing! On the flip "The distraction of fever" has that characteristic raw detroit vibe. Dominant stabs and a serious groove full of beeef! This one is for these moments when turnng the heat up is the only way to go! There are 3 locked grooves on this side too, which are extracts from "The distraction of fever".
