Professor Skank is by far the most well known Greek Dub producer with a number of great releases and collaborations. Born and raised in the Cretan Agios Nikolaos, he experimented with the genre at a really young age on a 4-track recorder in early 90’s. A period of blending and maturing followed that lead to his days with Soul Fire and then the great days came. Meeting Mad Professor was a turning point for him. His talent was discovered immediately and he succeeded not only to shine through but also being initiated into the dub ‘s secrets from such a living legend.
In the following years their collaboration allowed Professor Skank to use the legendary Ariwa studios remixing and working with great artists and bands of reggae and dub like Max Romeo, Zion Train, Aswad, Love Grocer, Afrikan Simba and many other. In 2006, his first solo album “Industrial Democracy” was released through Universal music. Based in his studio, he kept on producing music, releasing it on international labels and presenting it all around the world and building an international career which lead to him being the first Greek musician to ever appear in Glastonbury Festival, Great Britain ‘s most famous music festival. In early 2014 Professor Skank starts a new collaboration, this time with Pale Sound Records and releases his second solo album “Digital Revolution”. A project that starts with the best portents since Mad Professor is not just a mentor here but opens the album with his voice talking about Professor Skank ‘s ecumenical music. His bet with himself was to bring together two different cultures, the Cretan musical tradition and the Jamaican reggae / dub one. In his studio, surrounded by traditional instruments and music gurus he recorded the musicians playing in reggae / dub rhythms, rhythms that up to then were unknown to them. The result not just thrilled them but for sure showed amazing new paths… More

JK Soul and vocalist Lala Pumpkin met during a tour with the best Slovenian MC's "Emkej" in 2012. By the very first moment he listened to her captivating voice he new he had to work with her. At the same moment she listened to his fat beats and killer instrumentations she new she had to work with him. After a few gigs together they were sure.
JK Soul had a new vision for his new album "Take Me Higher". He wanted to show the world his wide range of production skills and his capability of moving through the different styles of electronic music with class. Not a lover of sticking to any stylistic niche to mark his territory. Electronic music was always his playground so now House, Dubstep, Drum & Bass, together with touches of Reggae and Soul are equal parts in his new creations all of which are there to enrich his unique and famous hip hop based beats and soul influenced trip hop trademarks. Lala Pumpkin's voice moves the listener far away, across the European borders and in the west side of the Atlantic, sounding so fresh and full of emotion but at the same time strong and certain of the capabilities that carries like a funk diva. Provides the perfect companion to JK Soul's unique sounds.
"Take Me Higher" is rich in styles. JK Soul is neither afraid to play with boundaries, nor pass through them instead of over them. He combines all elements as if they were truly meant to be together. From the "surf" inspired bass on the opening track "Blow Rider" which blends masterfully with his heavy beats and Lala's funk oriented vocals, to the dubstep monster that provides the album with it's title and the 4/4's La Kitara and Trumpet anthem, he composes tunes that will place a smile in everybody's face. A new perception in every style with Cayetano supplying the base on which JK builds his wonderful remix of the track "Be My Queen" combineing massive hiphop beats with a dubsptep touch while the Rebel Elementz offering their voices in the reggae "Rebel Anthem" where JK shows us his thoughts on reggae music of the future. And as we talk about anthems and summer is near, "Summer Goodbye" will be definitely a hit in every beach across the planet. For the end of the trip JK Soul gives us "Catfish", a down tempo composition flirting with early 40's blues and last but not least the magnificent, slow moving "Hurts".
JK Soul started his musical career as a radio technician at a really early age. A few years later and at a very young age of he was also involved with Tomy or Zox Productions, producing a large number of house tracks sold throughout Europe. In 2003 the track "Music Makes Me Happy" was positioned on almost all European dance charts including JK Soul's remix. This was followed by the discovery of his passion for hip-hop and trip - hop under the influences of his long time friend Gramatik. The magic world of beats, starches and raw hip-hop tunes were the main reason that moved him to became one of the best scratch DJs in Slovenia.
His first album was released in 2009 on the Cold Busted (Denver, CO) label. "Dinner with the Beatz Vol.1" was a highly fulfilling debut album. With influences from the roots and culture of early Hip Hop and Soul, Vol. 1 is served with funky, jazzy and fresh beats, melodies and samples with tastes and styles that make it a delicious 18-track album. The release was followed by a tour in the US together with Gramatik , as an opening act for Pretty Lights.
In May 2010 his 2nd album from the series " Dinner with the Beatz" he released with a great success since it went straight into the TOP10 Chillout Chart @ Beatport. The single "The Music" topped the Beatport chart and remained there more than a month. After more than 2 years the track was still moving on the TOP 100 Chillout chart and was a part of Beatport's "TOP 10 Chillout songs of 2010".
His 3rd album "SHADOWS", released in August 2010 , involved street soul hip hop music, with wobble bass lines, synths and many other electronic sounds. Many important sources and web sites gave it a positive review.
In May 2011 JK Soul grounded his own label "FAT Sound", and finally in June 2011 released on it "Dinner with FAT beatz", his latest long-player.
He immediately got a big attention and very good reviews from journalists and artist community as well as international radio play, and different collaboration offers and opportunities.
In October 26th he released his "UNIVERSAL LOVE EP". The EP was a success and you can find it still on the top 10 Beatport.com Chill Out chart.
In 2012 JK Soul produced a full length album for one of the best Slovenian MC's EMKEJ. Album called "Znajdi Se". The 1st single "Znajdi Se" went straight on #2 on MTV Adria "domacica chart" just in 2 weeks.

Cayetano, - Standing Still
It 's been almost two years since 2010, when Cayetano returned to his motherland (Greece) physically and musically with "Back Home" after years traveling around the world, performing and releasing his work through Parov Stelar's Etage Noir label. This period seems too small for all these that have taken place worldwide in general but especially in Greece. In an uncertain and socially troubled environment, where economic recession is an every day's fear (and which would be better circumstances for romance and artistic creativity?), his new album "Once Sometime" is here to state that being stuck is no kind of solution. In a time when everything is all but ideal, he seeks and discovers the antidote to all this anger that comes from the streets.
Cayetano gathered a "Dream Team" or better said his "Dream Team" of musicians, and each one of them gave his best into what resulted as "Once Sometime". Firstly great friends and then amazing collaborators, managed to give a unique freshness and optimism to the final project. All working for him but actually with him, a team that for the last couple of years have traveled numerous miles, performed in numerous venues, saw changes in it 's members, blended together and when finally the time was right, created a project that has no thing to be jealous of.
With a 400 mile distance between him and the band, the whole procedure would not be the easiest thing in the world. Full instrumentation in Cayetano 's studio in Athens, then the band takes over and changes the sounds with the physical instruments in Thessaloniki and back to Athens again for the final mix. Only bound friends and great professionals like them could make this sound so easy.
The mix is over, here comes mastering. Enrico Mercaldi 's magic ears help the project to reach the stars for one more time and "Once Sometime" is ready……
…….. And now the magic begins. "Tower Of Power", the intro or better a summary of the album. Every aspect of the total can be found here. Melody, sensitivity, the controlled but huge internal power, lust, love, happiness, sadness, loss. LIFE.
Cayetano has no interest in placing his music under any category. He blends in a unique way the electronic sounds with physical instruments, shouting that this is music, the result and not what he used to reach there. "Once Sometime" could be his definition of freestyle. Trip Hop, Jazz, Dub, Breaks, Dubstep, Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul and back to the beginning. It fills you, having no flaws from the beginning to the end, tiresome at not a single moment, addictive, but above all CAREFREE. What is mostly needed today since everything else is so pressing.
CAYETANO's - "Once Sometime" album is released in a double cd including CAYETANO's 2006 album "Focused", double vinyl with bonus the "Once Sometime" cd and digital format.

Release Notes:
Be With have raided the KPM archives to re-issue another of our favourites from the KPM 1000 series. They Say: Underscore moods and links—contemporary beat music idiom.
We say: Includes some of the most sublime, sub-ten second, tracks you’re ever likely to hear, alongside more traditionally-lengthed library funk heat. The dream team of Alan Hawkshaw and Keith Mansfield are here at the helm of one of the most legendary of the legendary KPM albums, originally released in 1969.
Beat Incidental is psychedelic pop-soul that hits hard thanks to fuzz guitars, growling flutes, deep hammond grooves and drum breaks galore: it’s basically “drama jazz”.
As with all of our KPM re-issues, the audio for The Road Forward comes from the original analogue tapes and has been remastered for vinyl by Be With regular Simon Francis. We’ve taken the same care with the sleeves, handing the reproduction duties over to Richard Robinson, the current custodian of KPM’s brand identity.
And don’t worry! Those KPM stickers aren’t stuck directly on the sleeves!

Short info:
Here we are with the new edition of Cosmic Machine! This sequel that comes after Cosmic Machine, is a fantastic journey through time and space, and we know that you've been waiting for this new edition. So let us take you the Milky Way…
At the time, musicians were trying to capture the singing of meteorites entering the terrestrial atmosphere thanks to machines developed by NASA engineers, a new generation of analog synthesizers that enabled a bunch of electronic music composers to take over the charts. It seems that the machines were definitely made to serve a radical avant-garde, and many years later, we're glad to be able to listen to it with perspective, and most of all…to dance to it!
While moving your feet to Cosmic Machine The Sequel, you might identify Francis Lay, recognized as one of the best music composers in France, as well as Rosebud, who had the audacity to remix the main theme from the movie "More", created by The Pink Floyd. You'll also find "Les Soucoupes Volantes Vertes" from Heldon, band led by Richard Pinhas, a real visionary of electronic music. Pascal Comelade, a friend of his, and worthy heir of the American minimalist music also appears on this record, with a cold electronic sound called "Mouvement Décomposé d'Un Coup de Marteau". Arpadys, for their part, make an apparition with a way more tribal and spatial track that will doubtlessly make you turn the volume up. Christophe, is featured too in COSMIC MACHINE THE SEQUEL. We decided to include "Harp Odyssey", a track influenced by his collaborations with the electronic master Jean Michel Jarre on 2 of his albums. Of course, Jean-Michel Jarre is an undeniable master, but he also had his: the father of electroacoustic music, Pierre Schaeffer that used to head the Group of Musical Researches, a real musical laboratory in which both artists have worked together, trying to experiment new sounds. You'll be able to listen to one of his tracks "Moins Banak / Interlude ou Impromptu". Finally, the legendary "Pop Corn" instrumental from Anarchic System will probably take back to the surface some nice memories…
Each and every one of the artists present on this compilation have dreamt of getting his one-way ticket to the moon. Some of them have managed to tread upon the land of our satellite, but one thing's for sure: all have participated to the spatial conquest on board of the Cosmic Machine, and guess what… you have the right to get on it!

Red Laser's Il Bosco had his mind blown when Felix Dickinson dropped this monster remix when playing the labels club night at the legendary White Hotel in Manchester.
The RL crew were surprised to learn this remix had never been released and immediately contacted ET to secure a full vinyl only release along with the epic original mix.
Since then, this has been an anthem at the Red Laser White Hotel residency and beyond. Don't sleep on this epic slab of anthemic synth jizz. More

At the start of the 70.s, France had no petrol, but it had ideas and artists that managed to tip them into the 21st Century 30 years in advance. Cosmic Machine compiles 20 rare tracks put together with passion and erudition by Uncle O (who previously did the Shaolin Soul compilations) and throws together a collection of stars, a few free-spirits, and also shooting stars. This group of people don.t form a scene per say, they.re more like a collection of individuals who, through sheer ingenuity and with all their singularity, managed to break down the barriers between pop and experimental to give birth to a mutant variety of electronic music that owes as much to mobile discos as sound illustration, to the GRM, to the Bogdanoff brothers, to Métal Hurlant and the European Space Program. Cosmic Machine is a panoramic dive into this epic era when the synthesizer was man.s best friend and when the future had a future: our present time. Daft Punk, Air, Justice, Zombie Zombie. Or Add N To (X), Stereolab, Broadcast in the rest of the world. weren.t born in incubators. The electric fairy stood above their cradle and they.re all the children of these French pioneers who were, among the first to celebrate the union of flesh and circuits. Androïds, robots, humans and other celestial creatures: now board the Cosmic Machine. More
