The almost legendary original version of „Bengang“ from the year 2008 has a huge placement in the film and is a key track within Paul Kalkbrenner’s Live Shows. Format:B use their classic techno remix formula and create a top class rework of „Bangang“. For their masterpiece they dig deep in their box of tricks and managed to create a unique sounding uptempo groover based on the easy recogniseable pieces of the original.

After four years and two succesful albums (platinum selling "Berlin Calling" and gold selling "Icke Wieder") it is a brand new track called "Das Gezabel" which will be released on his own Paul Kalkbrenner Musik label as a single in 2012. While being constantly out on the road Paul was always aware of the demand for new music produced by him. "Das Gezabel" will be out in August 2012 in vinyl and digital formats alongside a beautiful video shot at Ferropolis during one the few german open air shows. Musically the track continues where "Icke wieder" stopped and gives us a preview on the upcoming album which will be out in October 2012. "Das Gezabel" in it's pure fully instrumental version without any vocals shows us Paul's current approach in electronic club music with fine melodic lines combined with his classic beats.

The restless trip through countless clubs, numerous airports and on-going party insanity continues as the second soundtrack rendering of Hannes Stöhr's premier drama film, Berlin Calling, takes on its awaited release. Paul Kalkenbrenner's masterstroke, "Berlin Calling Vol. 2," continues to accompany the protagonists from Stöhr's moving and somewhat tragic depiction while surfacing a humorous and well-spirited undertone. Although the tracks, "Bengang" and "Torted," lack their corresponding picture, they highly possess the authentic feverish atmosphere depicted in the film, plainly making them the blue prints to DJ Ickarus's jam-packed dance floor. Don't expect any fancy embellishment on this release. These two tracks flow nicely like a non-stop machine. "Bengang" transmits more of a classic house-element with subtle hints of percussion while "Torted" pulls the track's speed, making it anuncompromising energy-booster. "Berlin Calling Vol. 2" simultaneously offers a powerful and irresistible listening experience to soundtrack listeners, film observers and, of course, movie hero character, DJ Ickarus himself!
