Maeve 03 is Mano Le Tough's debut on the label, and his first original music since his album "Changing Days" in Spring 2013. Tempus EP consists of 3 very different tracks, which showcase the different sides of Mano's productions. Title track Tempus is a warm melodic burner. Return To Yoz certainly a dancefloor moment. Sorry Is A Useless Word is Mano the Haus Romantiker, returning to a style reminiscent of his album.

Let's start with the hypnotic grooves of »Holographic Witness« with its subtle handclaps and percussions turning this bass-line driven monster to further heights - a bass-line quite reminiscent of that special Miami sound made famous by the Murk guys back in the early 90ies. Add some balearic guitar riffings and wait until that mighty bass drum comes back in after 6 minutes and you'll find yourself dreaming on a dancefloor in heaven.
Niall continues with more pounding drum sounds in next tune »Kakooja«. Stabbing synths sounds dominate this track while Niall manages to create another dreamy vibe again for this monotonous (in a very positive way that is) work of art - a dreamy vibe which can be found on any of Niall's EP's tracks. This leads us directly to »Last Floating Figh, Liufe Floating« where Mr. Mannion floats into much quieter shores. It's a very meditative affair which makes you want to listen to it over and over again once the tune comes to an end. We think that Señor Villalobos might unleash this one very soon onto some European dancefloor … don't you think?
On »Weather Master«, this EP's last track, Niall masters the art of trippy sounds for a fourth time building another dreamy hypnotic groove that is just beautiful. Maybe too beautiful for this world … we don't know, but what do we know? We're fans. Fans of Mano Le Tough who does not seem so tough at all considering his first offering for Live At Robert Johnson.

Irish producer and DJ Mano Le Tough announces his new record, At The Moment, out August 20th on DJ Koze’s Pampa Records, and presents the first single, “No Road Without A Turn.” After more than a decade of releases and touring, Mano has spent the past year at home in Zurich, rearing his young family and focusing on the positives of 14 months without performing, amid the uncertainty of the pandemic. In the face of horror, Mano channelled inspiration. With At The Moment, the follow-up to 2015’s Trails, those struggles have produced a record which balances the ambivalence of the current moment, with wistful streaks of unguarded optimism.
At The Moment shows Mano’s modes of expression evolving too. The synths and rhythms common to earlier works are now complemented with less familiar sounds and influences. Jangling guitars and sun-bleached chords envelop his own tender, plaintive vocals in a dappled wash of summery pop. Another track grounds overlapping melodies and sci-fi soundtrack pads with hip hop beats, creating a hypnotic slice of slinky retro-futurism. Where there is reflection, there is also a sense of being unafraid.
“I’ve always liked that Mallarmé quote, ‘poetry is the language of crisis,’” says Mano. “It’s hard to make good music about everything being amazing. Everything is going great – who wants to listen to that? Anything I’ve done - anything which I thought had any kind of artistic merit, has been through struggles I’ve had in my life”. More

Niall Mannion aka Mano Le Tough is set to release his first record on Pampa this Octobre entitled "Ahsure". The 3 track EP sees the Irish producer showcase his unique ability to combine dance floor rhythms with visceral vocal based songs. The result of which is a piece of work that will find a comfortable home in a variety of settings. While this method has become the hallmark of Mano's discography, "Ahsure" feels like some of his most honest and accomplished work to date. The A-side, "Your heavy head" is the most dance floor focused track of the EP. Mano combines crisp, live sounding percussion with various intertwining synth lines and bell chimes, establishing a gentle yet pulsating groove. His vocals compliment the instrumentation, telling a simple story via an array of disorientating effects. "Kitedub" on the flip settles neatly somewhere between modern house music and weirdo pop. Mano's stirring vocals make up the centerpiece of the track, as strange sounds swell and subside - all the time kept in check with sharp staccato drums.
The title track rounds off the record in beautiful fashion. Penned just after the birth of his daughter, "Ahsure" hears Mano's lyrics sit above swirling ambient sounds and they convey a raw honesty that is palpable.

After a recent ,short 'n' sweet stint on Tensnake's Mirau imprint irish ex-pat MANO LE TOUGH reemerges on Internasjonal where he first saw the light of the day as a producer with the much acclaimed "warhorn". yet even with such a rather small, straightforward discography Mano managed to sculpture his unmistakeably very own style fusing the deeper shades of house and techno with a strong melodic sensibility that one would never even get the faintest idea to file it under the mostly bland tech-house genre. "oblique" boast a perfect effective dramaturgy with slighty spooky broken melody box theme rising out of a thick mist of grinding chords before morphing into a deep acid finale. French gentlemen of distinction and many styles CHATEAU FLIGHT toughen up the beats and throw in some african wood percussions and sparse psychedelic dub effects for a superb rhythmically multi-layered rework.

Mano Le Tough sent me this track already 2 years ago so I can testify that this track has been roadtested and indeed passed the test. A simple,dark and effective melodic techno track with quite an anthemic feel to it if I may say it myself... after a bit of fiddling around trying to come up with the right person to remix it Mano came up with Halve a sun which now graces the b-side even more gracefully than any remix money could buy. As you can probably guess I'm bored to death writing these infosheets...don't let that fool you, this one's a killer

Maeve is the record label run by three close friends, Mano Le Tough, The Drifter and Baikal. For Maeve’s eighth outing it has enlisted the talents of long time friend Ed Davenport. The record grew from a chance hearing of some new material at Ed’s studio one night and after a brief discussion it was decided that the tracks would find a fitting home at Maeve. Although recently more known for his harder techno releases under the moniker Inland, Silver Walks is some what a return to Ed’s roots. Slower, emotive, more contemplative tracks, recorded over a pretty short period of focused studio time.
'Silver Walks' is a synth-led jam. The arpeggiator holds pride of place as the centre of the tune with filter tweaks complementing its progression. 'Kuromaku' has a tougher attitude - heady and cosmic with a deep kick. It means 'black curtain' in Japanese. More

Maeve is the record label run by three close friends, Mano Le Tough, The Drifter and Baikal. Some years ago, Mano and The Drifter ran a clubnight in Berlin called Passion Beat. Aera was their guest a couple of times. It's very fitting that Aera now joins us for Maeve 06. Aera's original "You Know Juno" comprises of warm arps and a dark hypnotic bassline over a jacking house beat. On first hearing the track, The Drifter was keen to do a remix. His interpretation is a dark take on the original, boosting the bassline, adding a driving beat and pushing the drama to high levels.

Maeve 02 consists of two versions of Baikal's "Why Don't Ya?" from friends of the label, Ripperton and Dixon. Ripperton turn's Baikal's Why Don't Ya into a 14 minute epic. While Dixon gives Ripperton's remix his concise edit treatment on the flip. The tracks have had huge responses worldwide and have appeared on Dixon's BBC Essential Mix and Sasha's Mixmag Mix.
