LF RMX is a new series, exclusively featuring edits and remixes originally made by Len Faki for use in his own DJ sets. Now releasing them to a wider audience, the second edition presents two complementary contrasting versions of 'Deep In' by Stephen Brown.
Sticking to the strengths of the source material, Faki's sleek polish makes the centerpiece acid bassline and playful cut-up vocal stand out from the mix even more. Already quite a force to begin with, the momentum only keeps growing as oldschool drum breaks and additional percussion roll in.
The original's linear progression is traded for murky, modulating analog squelches on the Deepspace Mix, turning the tune into a dubby late-night groover, which still holds some surpises in store.
As with all releases of the non-profit platform that is LF RMX, the proceeds of this record will be forwarded to the Berlin organization Straßenkinder e.V. to be used in actions against child poverty.

After 12 long years it’s time to re-launch Stephen Brown’s Realtime. The label was started in 1998 and the original 5 releases sold out within months. Two years later Stephen put the label on hold after the 5th release to focus on recording for labels such as Transmat ,Subject Detroit, Music Man and Skudge to name a few. Recently Stephen has been producing many trax which are still unreleased and these trax are the foundation of his exclusive live set. After many requests and emails from people wanting to know the names of the trax in the live set and where to get them it seems only logical that Stephen would want to release them on his own label. So the plan is to continue to release what some call High Tek Soul and Realtime …006 will be the first in the series. The tracks: Son: A highly percussive track that builds up from a simple hollow kick to something special that those on the dance floor will appreciate. On top is a dollop of filtered chords that move back and forth. Gate 5: Razor sharp chords combined with a compressed drum beat and percussion
