Having previously reissued "I Want You To Know", the 1991 gem from Simonelli's Groove Committee project, Deep Down Slam now return with a remix package. Leading the way is Italian House producer Nicholas in collaboration with Marcoradi, with the original's vibe very much intact but complemented by some fresh new beats and arrangement. The Second Remix comes from French House producer DJ Steaw who brings the usual quality and gives the remix the classic Steaw touch we're used to know. Zurich based Italian producer Demetrio Giannice conjures the spirit of vintage Tom Moulton on his remix and Deep Down Slam have also included Simonelli's Original Bonus Beats version from 1991 that was mastered by legendary NYC mastering engineer Rick Essi

Victor Simonelli opens up the vaults once more to unlock Groove Committee's 'Dirty Games', the follow up to the seminal 'I Want You To Know'.
Taking the blueprint from his timeless house classic, Simonelli reworked the bassline for this '92 follow up whilst holding onto that sublimely simple yet powerful chord progression, one that never fails to put a smile on the face. Add in a helping of swung hats and crunched up shakers and this is a classic by anyone's standards. The vocals - a charged up, evocative warning to a mistreating lover - fit the NYC garage house rhythm so perfectly and deliver a raw emotion to the track.
Next up the 'Dubb Mix' kicks off with the accapella vocals, bare in all their glory, before that piano progression lays the path for the full force of 'Dirty Games' to make its impact. There's more space between the vocals in this dub mix, allowing Simonelli's production prowess room to breathe. A surefire spine tingler from start to finish.
On the B side, Simonelli offers up his 1993 re-edit, extending, elongating and beefing up certain elements to captivate audiences all over again. Closing out the e.p. is Groove Committee's '93 track 'I Wana Hold You' produced in collaboration with Glenn 'Sweety G' Toby - it follows that same garage house shuffling rhythm, with soul-laden organs and Paula Brion's killer vocals.
Another much welcomed reissue of some of Victor Simonelli's most sought after tracks, remastered by the man himself for a new generation of listeners.

Victor Simonelli's Groove Committee alias inspired much of the upbeat vocal house we hear today thanks to seminal releases on Nu Groove Records in the early '90s. Simonelli's "I Want You To Know", from the eponymous EP released in '91, enjoys a rerelease and remix overhaul on the upstart Deep Down Slam label. Inner Sense's Knows The Truth mix boosts the overall presence of Simonelli's original, by reinforcing the drums, hats and chords with deft touches of neoteric sound design, while Deep Down Slam label-head Washerman opts for cut up and interspersed vocals and loopy instrumentation in his mix. French house ball of fire Kool Vibe, turns up the heat - and punch - in his chord riffing remix, paying homage to a originator that's no doubt influenced his own productions

The Deep Down Slam label has Alex Agore supply some Rhodesy house for their third release. Swooning organs and various clatters of hats and percussion rattle "Show U Love" while stretched out synths lay spread over a syncopated bassline and cut vocals in "Get Dub". "No Name 3" sees more luscious Rhodes and chimey organs play out a dancey house melody, while "We Can't Talk" adds more chordal riffage to an EP which screams house music
