Over the past few years we have seen a surge of artists, music and labels coming out of Romania and, whilst not seen as a traditional hotbed of House Music, this new wave of movers and shakers are working together to create their own lasting musical legacy. The latest in the busy line of producers is 22 year old Bacau born, Marcman. Behind the decks at 14 and studying his art from 18 the young man with a love for angry kicks and heavy baselines has already graced the likes of Quanticman, Plant 74 and Esperanza with his music. Now he's set to join the Bass Culture family as he presents his debut release for the label the "In Trecere" ep. "I was actually sent some Marcman tracks about a year ago by Franco Cinelli" says Bass Culture label chief D'Julz. "I instantly loved his beats and groove and i played them immediately on the Circoloco terrace. I got in touch and asked him to work on an ep for Bass Culture. I specifically wanted it for this summer because his beats are exactly what i love to play in Ibiza." Marcman's 4 track "In Trecere" ep sees him sandwiching the deep dubby sounds of "Rutina" and the percussive guitar licked "Dansand", with the Chicago'esque numbers "Levier" and "In Trecere."

KEITA SANO is part of Japan s new wave of music producers. The Okayama resident has been weaving his way through house, techno and electronica releases displaying an affinity to old school processes and vintage gear. With releases clocked up on Mister Saturday Night, 1080p, Lower Parts, Row, Strictly Groove Recordings, Enother Blessing, Holic Trax and Spring Theory he has shown his eclectic tastes and zany approach to music. The label Bond is the brainchild of Swedish techno DJ and producer Petter B. The concept of the label is 'music by DJs for DJs'. The label focuses on releasing tracks that enable the DJ, rather than the producer, to be creative. It is based on that special bond which is created every time a DJ combines tracks, loops and sounds live into something new and unique. This third release is a three-track EP made by Petter B himself. On the A-side there is the track 'Belgian Green' witch is an exercise in percussion, rhythmic delays and peak time energy. On the flip there is the track 'Vacuus void'. It is a track made to create that feeling of vacuum in the soundscape. It has long rises and predictable drops, always ending up with only the essentials of the groove left. Tool02 is also built around a repetitive pattern of rises and drops. An atonal banger that is perfect to create mixpoints on the fly with. It also has a forward momentum that can be applied to any track that lacks one.
