Our sweet little offspring, the new series under the roof of our beloved Audiolith label, is growing slowly but steadily. The Stiff Little Spinners are in town to spread the word all over the place. And the word is that contemporary electronic club music still is in high fashion in its various facets ranging from Deep- to TechHouse, from Cosmic Disco-influences to "Electro", NeoTrance and associated styles. All these are predominantly found on the worlds dancefloors and are becoming more and more popular in our network of friends, a musical family that has evolved from a Punk background and still is fascinated by the magic of a pumping 4-2-the-floor bassdrum, an essential momentum that never grows old. Since Krink was one of the first ones amongst us individually exploring these fields, followed in friendly partnership by the likes of Rampue, Gimmix & Julei, Kalipo, Torsun Teichgräber and the pair of Marseille & Mendoza they joined forces for a new 12" package including six tracks for this summer. Kalipo's "Millionaire Of Love" is the first one here, gently drifting off away into blurry dancefloor dreams exploring the musical realms in between (Neo)Cosmic and decently pumping DeepHouse flavors. Upcoming next is the lilting "Ciera" by Gimmix & Julei speeding up things a bit but still staying on a lovely tip with ever shifting string arrangements and sweet, innocent vocal bits. A nice closing track to send punters home safely after a long night out or two. Stiff Little Spinners-originator Krink serves the final one on the A-side. "In Between" proves his production skills with a fusion of deep, late night House. Serving classic chords, a seductive vox sample and a sexy Chicago-influenced line glimpsing through that does know about the house that Jack built this will be named as future classic in tiny red'ish venues attended by connaisseurs. One to stand the test of time. Flipping the 12" another conjunctional effort is opening here - "Aviary". Produced by Marseille & Mendoza this tune builds up for quite a while, teasing with classic claps and floating synths before branching out into an epic piece of House Music. A tune eager and longing, made for lovers and those looking for love drifting through the night. Rampue is next, a man that needs no further introduction. Puzzling punters with a ringtone intro he fully embraces a crossover of Disco and SlowHouse, based on well-fed bassdrums and sweet but summoning femal snippets well magnetizing, sucking everyone into that black hole the dancefloor can be. "Get Back" is the name but getting back is not an option before the tune is over.
The final slice is served by Torsun Teichgräber. His track is named "Brrhuakka", celebrating a Berlin'esque craze that can best be understood by those who've been to places like the legendary Bar 25 or other homes to spirits free. A tour de force through german vocals, Ska-influenced offbeats and a Polka-bassline, amalgamated for very special moments and shiny happy people.
