Tracklist: (A1) The Island of If (B1) Nothing is Lost
Minilogue are known for their bigger than life electronic music adventures! A fact that makes their announcement "to-have-a-break" even more painful for us and many of their fans!
Yes, you heard right: Markus Henriksson and Sebastian Mullaert decided to put their collaboration aside for an undefined period and focus more on their solo careers from now on. However they are not waving good-bye without a last mega-sign of their former existence and we are proud and happy to be the label of choice to present this e.p.! "The Island of If" comes with a slightly reduced playtime that manages to stop the clock at 11 minutes and 49 seconds. The sound and the arrangement follows the vibe of their last Cocoon albums. In other words: Minilogue at its best! "The Island Of It" appears a bit like a scandic winter version of "Knights of The Jaguar" and offers big potential to be one the last hits of 2013 / first hits of 2014. With the ironic title "Nothing is Lost" Markus Henriksson and Sebastian Mullaert are hammering out a breathtaking epic monster that reminds us of the highly acclaimed remix by The Mole of Minilogues "Hispaniola". Everybody who fell in love for Mole's remix back then will hear pure heaven again with this masterpiece. And despite the epic atmosphere and the impressive length of 14 minutes we are sure "Nothing Is Lost" will also feed the floors of many techno sets. With "What is there to Protect" (digital only) Minilogue do press every button modern electronic music offers. This is not just music - it's a mad trip! "What is to Protect" is a complete world with soundtrack and audio drama elements. A musical journey that more and more evokes a floor monster the longer it builds up. A 17 minute long synthesis of arts you won't hear anywhere else! Every second of this production should be worth to be heard. And even if the 43 minutes total running long seems to be a bit unusual we feel and think this package is not a single minute too long!

LP A: Everything is all you've got B: Atoms with curiosity that looks at itself and wonder why it wonders C: Existensberättigande D1: Forgotten memories D2: Nor coming nor going
Everything comes in its own time: a wordly wisdom that Marcus Henriksson and Sebastian Mullaert aka Minilogue take for granted. Since their foundation in the year 1997 they emerged to one of the most respected and hard to pigeonhole electronic music acts world-wide. And that not only because in each of their artistic expressions you can feel their effortless passion for what they do - whether live or magnetized on a medium. Also because they do not stick to any stylistic niche to mark their territory. House, techno, ambient, trance, and lately jazz are equal parts in their creations. The most effective bunched proof for their musical universalism was marked in 2008 with the release of their debut album "Animals"" on Cocoon. Since then a string of Ep's on labels like Mule, Wagon Repair, Traum Schallplatten, and their own imprint Minilogue continued their story in sound in which everything is made out of the present moment. Also the jazz infused album "Bring Out The Imps" that they recorded under the alias IMPS with two jazz musicians and a heartfelt collaboration album with the Japanese producer Kuniyuki entered their discography. And between all their work they constantly performed their intense improvised live shows all around the globe. Privatly they formed themself a life far beyond the big city lights, out in the Swedish woods in the north of Malmö. Here they live a life where the inner gets the outer and where their way of creating is far away from Zeitgeist zones in which musical trends pass by like seasons. In the past five years they met every now and then when it felt like hooking up in the studio, jammed on their equipment without a clear goal in mind and recorded each unique moment that was guided by the experience of the single day of life that marked their souls when they came together. In past months they went through the archives of their creative comments on our time, that been born in moments where time was not on the agenda. In that time just music called the tune and as a result of this pure form of conversation between two souls their second album "Blomma" emerged. The title of the album isn't just a name. The Swedish word "blomma" represents two meanings in one: to bloom and the flower. The flower and the blooming are deeply tied to each other - as for Minilogue the process of making music and the temporary result of the process is one too, the album title matches perfectly with their aim of beeing aimless. Out of this attitude towards making music again a heterogeneous longplayer arose that does not work like a regulary formatted club music album. It comes in two parts that both have two faces within themself which are constantly shifting: dance oriented rhythm parts and airy layered ambient atmospheres - always intensely tuneful, musical, and shapely. All eight tracks underpin the wisdom that says that in the moment of deep creativity you disappear. Because no ego can be heard and all grooves, melodies, field-recordings, samples, and chords work like a single colour of a musical painting that is full of versatile electric elements und unnatural sounds. Sounds that only evolve if those who create them are far away from knowing that they create. A state of mind that Minilogue bound on a double album that is just there to let the music speak. That is why again you can't see their faces on the cover. Instead pictures of the nature that surrounds them in their everyday life stimulate the fancy of the listener while his ears get lost in a gentle amalgamation of rhythm and sound that conveys the impression that it just flew through the bodies of both while their extremities instantly used each instrument around - from the computer to the synth, from percussions to piano. Nothing you can hear on the album is edited or post produced - it all sounds exactly like it was when the atoms of these two individuals danced together. The result is a record with no real beginning or end. An album that tells unconscious an epic story about the path it took to make it. With each atmospheric turn it blooms like an unreal sound fairytale which leaves much space for the listeners individual imagination. You can dance to it, you can ease, you can loose your feeling towards time and space. Whatever happens - in one moment suddenly Minilogue are very close, even if they are not present.

Transparent Vinyl. Part 1 of 2.This latest EP on Enemy maybe the most psychedelic and hypnotic release the label has released thus far. Psychedelic Hypnotism may sound like a bad acid rant from the >Summer of Love,< but this 2 part vinyl EP will prove you otherwise. The first vinyl focuses on the more abstract side of the dance floor, leading off with Rrose and Donato. Perfect for the beginning of the evening or the early morning. The second vinyl is the more club-oriented accompaniment courtesy of Jesper Dahlback and Grindvik & Zahn.

Tracklist: A1. Endlessness B1. In a Loving Place
In this release minilogue continue their journey through musical landscapes. They invite us all to join them for a guided tour into a range of different feelings. The A-side takes off in a quite serious mood, with a rolling beat to get the body warm whereon an ascending trip begins which is slowly inspiring us to open ourselves up and welcome the feeling of "Endlessness". Feeling at ease with ourselves after the A-side we are ready to take on the playful jam tune on the B-side; finally arriving "In a Loving Place", a place where we all are supposed to be.
"..About the label we're about to start with the same name as our business we think this should be the embodiment of our views. The music released here should be loaded with feelings, organic/acoustic sounds, warmth and be very alive, finding its way close to the heart of the listener. We're appealed by the greatness of being alive. We are also keeping a quite conscious understanding of what the modern society (with consumerism and such) is turning the individuals into, ripping the mind and the body away from our true selves. Make a Beautiful Corpse is to stay true to the real self; be aware of and allow any of your bodies feelings, pay attention and respect for your origin (the nature) and live your life as you want as long as you do it with respect to your fellows. The name comes first from the old saying "live fast, die young [...]" but suggest that your the ruler of your own body and you should fill it with whatever makes you feel good"

Minilogue, - Animals
The three versions of the homonymous LP title represent, at the same time, the whole bandwidth of contemporary electronic dance music. Starting with a quirky house mix from Luciano, followed by multi-national Vakant artist Tolga Fidan and his highly percussive prime time techno approach, whose oriental imprinting is not cagey about the turkish roots of the Paris-based producer and – with the spoken voice reminding discreetly of Minilogue's 2008 club hit "Doiicie". A completely different direction is chosen by Brendan Moeller aka Beat Pharmacy. The South African-born protégé of NY House legend François Kevorkian on his Deep Space Media label is interpreting "Animals" within a mythical hypnosis of slagged Deep House and deep Dub Techno, somewhere in between Nu Groove and Basic Channel, being one of the most visionary tracks in the beginning of 2009.

When Sebastian Mullaert and Marcus Henriksson founded Minilogue in 2000, it was not only a musical project but also a visual one.
From the beginning, the two musicians thought animals to be the front for Minilogue. These animals do not actually exist,
they are imaginary animals. As they appear on Minilogues record sleeves, they merge elements of all different animals together:
there is a donkey with a trunk of an elephant or a mouse with the horns of a deer. With >Animals – The Movie<, Minilogues
visual world comes fully into existence. The 80-minute-long DVD is created by Hinge Design from New Zeeland and a couple of other visuals artists.
Two segments by Kristofer Ström were released as a preview: >Hitchhikers Choice< had more than three million views on YouTube.
The rhythm of the whole movie is defined by its quiet camera motions. With its countless images and movements, the films put us in a detached position.
We watch the world around us like scientists. This remoteness enables us to experience its beauty to its full extent.
>Animals – The Movie< manages to combine the repetitive collages of club visuals with the subtleties of video art.
It is for sure one of the most ambitious visualisations of todays electronic music. It will appear as well on the TV in your living room as in your favourite club More

This huge release is a must for fans of their We Are & Syndikaat releases! Zahn and Eidolon manage to crush the minimal trend into a ball and throw it back at the masses. This release is already played by the likes of Jesse Somfay, Agaric, Someone Else, Tim Xavier, and a bunch of other…strange ones. Dustin Zahn’s “Use Your Imagination” is a syncopated peak time club track relying on shuffled electro synth patterns and massive bass lines! He follows it up with “The Need for Faith” which is an aggressive stomper relying heavily on effects and edits which should please fans of material from the likes of Alex Under and Marc Houle. The feedback we’ve been getting says this is Zahn’s best work yet! Eidolon is back in top form after successful EPs on We Are records, Modern Recording Company, and Syndikaat with more of the same…but even better! “Illusions” and “They’re Just Illusions, Joe” are swanky after-hours cuts perfect for starting the night off or those early mornings waiting for the sun! This is deeper, minimal stateside techno at its best!

From the quirky 'On a Date...' to the funky, deep techno-fused 'Once the Senses are Dulled..' and finally the loopy, clicky and beating 'She Made Thunder with Her Mouth', there is definitely something here for everyone. These peaktime tracks are a must for anyone who is a fan of releases on Pokerflat, Nummer and similar labels.
