The mission to balance the playing field of the electronic music scene advances with the fourth release on Sound Warrior Recordings, a label run by Jenifa Mayanja of Bu] Mako Recordings and Dakini9 of Plan B Recordings. The mission of Sound Warrior Recordings is to promote and release music exclusively by female electronic music producers. gWarrior Tonesh features Berlinfs singer/songwriter/producer Daniela La Luz, who has released extensively on Rawax and Housewax; French label owner and ultradeep producer Whim]ee, whofs been seen on Trojan Horse Records, Night Drive Music and Abstract/Culture; and Sound Warrior co]bosses Jenifa Mayanja and Dakini9. This EP features four deep cuts for the dance floor, all created by female producers who have been working in the industry for over 40 years collectively! Yet they remain largely under the radar. With Sound Warrior Recordings, we hope to correct
the extreme imbalance of men and women performers in the house and techno underground.

jenifa Mayanja and Dakini9 (aka Lola) are back with the third installment on their label Sound Warrior, this time with two new artists beginning to make a name for themselves in the underground electronic music scene. Jay Mond is a Spanish transplant to Berlin, Germany. Her eclectic, mature sound belies her youth, as she combines tough drum programming with jagged synths on 'Green Adventures.' Jenifa Mayanja turns in a classic example of her sound on 'Wide Awake,' complete with Jenifa vocal samples, soulful keys, and a rolling arrangement culminating in a deep dance floor experience. Lilith, from Los Angeles, CA opens the B side with 'Shadow Boxing,' a tracky affair with swooping risers, punchy kicks, and moody chords. Dakini9 closes the EP with 'NRG & Power,' a sample-driven night light deep house jam. Sound Warrior Recordings is dedicated to promoting and releasing music by female electronic music producers.
