After recent releases on Let's Play House, Seven and Wax Classics, Montel now delivers 'Third Dimension' a blistering four tracker on Foot & Mouth of infectious break-beat garage with a knowing nod to those days of glory! The A Side features two versions of 'Garage Stories', 'Vibe 1' is a raw breakin' homage to the Paradise Garage, whilst 'Vibe 2' is a more female vocal led take, equally as monstrous. On the flip and Montel turns on those old school flavours with a show-pony champion of a tune, 'I Can't Wait' kicks like a mule! Last up is 'NASA', a darker tougher affair for the tech-heads.. heads down for a full house. The EP is been championed by Huxley, Skream, Bicep & Matt Tolfrey. Belfast's Seven Music returns with yet another 12" that sees the return of montel, a Belfast house head whose rise has been nothing short of meteoric. First surfacing in January of this year, montel has graced many of the underground House scene's best imprints with his straight up, no nonsense approach to House & Garage! Brooklyn's Let's Play House and Love Revolution, Paris's Skylax label and also UK based label, Midnight Love Club have all had the pleasure of this man joining their ranks in 2013! Kicking the release off in style is the intense cut "While The Record Spins" which is a full blown dance floor filler that captures the old skool sound with montel's own edge, with "Love Jones" maintaining the feel good vibes. Soaring synths, atmospheric breakdowns, and great use once again of smooth vocal samples. On the flip, "Hip Hop Anonymous" takes it back to the 90s, pairing an acidic bass line with a heavy rap vocal before the track erupts into pulsating ecstasy, whilst curtain closer 'Hold On' demonstrates montel's diversity, opting for a deeper feel that exudes a subtle Bass approach.

After a two-year-long tenure, Let's Play House Records' twentieth release finally arrives! This one features four originals by newish affiliate, montel, who released a song on the second LPH V/A compilation EP. The Belfast-based producer is an especially busy and active man: he runs his own label, Seven Music, and collaborates with a partner in South West Seven. On his own, montel specializes in cranking out some the best deep house and UK garage around, and Eastside Kings is a shining example of his talents. The EP starts with “Peace In the World,” an infectious, assertive stomper that hooks you with a simple keyboard riff and vocal sample. The energy doesn't let up on “Runnin',” though that cut is decidedly deeper and smoother. The flip finds montel turning it back up to 11 with “Ecstasy,” a dramatic club anthem, and “Get Down,” a funky, elastic burner that closes the 12”.
