British artist Gazelle Twin presents her new audio visual performance show for two vocalists, 'Kingdom Come'. Three tracks from the AV show, created in collaboration with video directors Chris Turner and Tash Tung, are now available on limited edition vinyl via The Vinyl Factory. Artwork by Jonathan Barnbrook.
The conceptual performance for two vocalists is staged in six chapters, incorporating electronics, film, and the brand new soundtrack from Gazelle Twin, created from samples and live vocal manipulation. With the piece set on treadmills against a manic, illusory landscape, Kingdom Come places heightening physical demands on the performers, resulting in an exhausting, otherworldly climax. More

Bloodgroup have had their powerfully crafted brand of electronic music playing on our stereo on repeat ever since the February release of the Tracing Echoes Album on Sugarcane. The highly developed album was described as majestic ballads, grinding beats, and a pop single or three thrown in for good measure from the likes of Dummy Magazine.Earmilk (Canada) claims 'The Icelandic foursome cut icy melodies through the steam on Tracing Echoes, undoubtedly their best to date, but more impressively, one of the best albums of 2013. With its delicate vocals and gemmed synths, (it) strikes closer to early Knife or Zola Jesus than Depeche Mode. Depeche Mode's shadow might reach far and wide, but their descendants keep finding ways to push gloomy synth-pop into darker, tighter corners. Bloodgroup rips up the mold, equal parts muscle and machine, the band manages to concoct a mixture that's just as addictive as anything from Dave Gahan and company'……… And with that……we give you the new Disquiet EP.

The iconic Kool Keith’s ‘Drugs’ gets placed on the Sugarcane Recordings Imprint for 2011. An idea spawned from Ninja Tune’s Amon Tobinand Doubleclick to place the anthem on rhythmic experiments similar to those of their recent breakthrough Two Fingersproject. Metallic drums, cataclysmic synth sounds, shattering glass, all while Kool Keith preaches on the use of drugs in pop culture. It works in a big way. SWITCH (Major Lazer, Dubsided)Let’s get to it. This is a sure player made for the dance floor. Prime Switch production in the Dubsided fashion we know and love. Kool Keith chanting “I used to be up all night” with wonky twisting jack beats and an eerie synth floating in the foreground. Switch’s signature style shining thru on every measure. Heavy rotation with all the favorites like the Crookers, A-Trak, and Diplo. Hot Chip (DFA, EMI)the indie idols couldn’t resist taking part on this instant classic. Joe Goddard puts forth a minimal acid housetake. A quirky vocal remix and additional instrumental in his newly found, off kilter house productions. Suited nicely for Kool Keith’s wild lyrical style. With a few tweaky 303 sounds and synth stabs, Hot Chip can do no wrong. A collector’s item in the making. Two other VERSIONS (X and IV) are the real surprises here. Version X is a dubstep inspired mid tempo remix with classic casio sounds and grinding wobbly baseline. Influenced heavily by Rustie and Starkey, with sparkling synth work in the peak drop. VERSION IV is one of the smoothest 70’s disco house numbers Kool Keith could ever dream of being a part of. Deep funk disco with Keith singing “Make Me Feel the way I feel, Go head baby” so Kool. Brilliant Cover Artwork by Sanghon Kim.
