Berlin-based music label Mutual Musik is proud to announce its second release PRINCE OF THE NIGHT. The title track from Johannes Beck springs from the universal urge to explore the night and to let oneself go. Floating between bliss and melancholy, strolling like in a dream, this track goes out to all princes and princesses of the night. For the A-side, the Leipzig-based producer Map.ache, co-founder of the label KANN and half of the DJ-duo Manamana, contributed a remix of PRINCE OF THE NIGHT. Two tracks by Johannes Beck were part of KANN’s first release KANN00 and his piece RENDEZVOUS can be found on KANN’s latest compilation “Family Horror”. Map.ache’s “Daylight Remix” of PRINCE OF THE NIGHT embodies the first rays of light in the morning that chase the night away and spread warmth and energy all around. The second track on the B-side of this record was created in cooperation by Johannes Beck and Tristen, who is the owner of the label AIM and part of the WHITE-collective. Their jointly produced track MIDNIGHT slowly and emotively builds suspense before releasing its energy and serenity.

Studio Bruno is the joint project of Johannes Beck as well as his friend musicians and producers. The concept of Studio Bruno is based on a one week stay at Studio Bruno in an old farmhouse in Steigerwald, Franconia, a lovely Nature Park in North Bavaria, where each musician invited brings a machine or an instrument of his choice. The focus of that week is the common producing and live improvising.
For the first record Steffen Bennemann (NACHTDIGITAL) and Sevensol (KANN) were invited. Sevensol brought his TR-707, his Monotron Delay and Steffen Bennemann came with his field recorder. The result of this one-week session is a deep House track with a distorted synth line and a Krautrock-slash-funky jazz track! More
