Bouncy beats and booming bass proclaim an unmistakable message: It's all about the dance floor! A melodic torrent accumulates with each and every bar before it finally erupts and cascades through the arrangement in shiny streams. Then exotic singing starts and the track takes off, leaving the grey world of everyday life a thousand miles behind. The Remix by The Glitz is just as compelling, yet completely different: Based on an extremely heavyweight bass line their version merges the organic warmth of the original into explosive Funk. Away is the name of the second strike on this record, and it is just as uncompromising in terms of push and pressure. Weightless delays, drifting sounds and subliminal siren singing remind us that the outbreak of spring is just around the corner. This again means that Kombinat100 may not be missing! The grooves of the newest 3000Grad record contain nothing less than a "melody for millions"- and it even comes in triplicate! Typical of the Berlin-based project Funkwerkstatt, the original version casually strolls along in a housey pace. Lively synthesizer chords accompany the emotional voice of Dan Morro who creates a deep but pleasantly unpretentious atmosphere. Also in "Bass Muss Liebe Sein", a primetime-compatible homage to the lower frequencies, his vocals melt with the pumping groove rather than standing out of it. On the flipside, Mollono.Bass presents his playful, spring-like version of "Melodie Für Millionen", arranging a completely new instrumentation. Last but not least there is Spirit Catcher who hurls the original track through an electronic time tunnel… Catchy retro-sounds lend to the title not only a completely different atmosphere but also quite some hit potential.

Being a musical vagabond involves quite some illustrious stories and quite some adventures. Four of those are captured on this exciting record. In his housey remix of "B1000", Andre Kronert tells about an acoustic sunrise. Based on driving sub-basses, he piles up layers of harmonic pad sounds and light melodies. The minimal plot of the original version by Kollektiv Ost roams twilight sceneries and explores single sounds and effects. Schaeufler & Zovsky give insight into a both relaxed and go-getting attitude towards life. Their contribution "Leafs" combines dreamy melodies with very lively and functional rhythms. In his own version of this acoustic tale, Mollono.Bass concentrates on a catchy groove and creates a very inspiring, deep and perfidious hypnotic atmosphere.
