Strong early support from Jackmaster, who used 'Surgeon' in his 2012 Mastermix, as well as X-Press 2, Midland, Redlight and Eliphino, has led to a steady wave of requests for these edits for over a year, resulting in this limited vinyl-only release through Rubadub distribution.

The latest emission from the 2020 Midnight Visions camp comes from Bristol’s Behling & Simpson. Producers, label owners and general men about town, Behling & Simpson are familiar faces on Bristol’s bass music scene with 6 years of experience touring the globe as DJs and over 100 previous releases between them (under various guises). Having honed their production skills and in need of a new challenge, Behling & Simpson are now in the business of crafting fresh and original house cuts, dropping the tempo to allow space for highly swung drums, RnB-esque vocals and deep 808-bass.They are part of the new wave of house music coming out of Bristol that has brought us Julio Bashmore and the fusion sounds of Applepips and Futureboogie, which are the two labels they have previously released on.Their 2020 Midnight Visions EP showcases their love of a shuffley house groove, classic boogie influences and shows how to work the dancefloor without working the bpm. 'Closer' features the sexy vocals of Shanti Celeste, she may not say a great deal, but she definitely gets her point across over the bumpin New Jersey house grooves that recall classic MAW or Todd Terry on -8. There's something magical about certain cities and their respective scenes. Whether we're talking about New York, Berlin, London or Moscow, you can always expect quality when they are mentioned in a conversation. The same goes for the up-and-coming but always interesting Melbourne. Over the last couple of years we've seen a strong increase of Australian producers dropping one great project after another. Artists that come to mind are names like Tornado Wallace, Fantastic Man, Michael Ozone and Andras Fox. Add a vibrant nightlife and a couple of young producers next in line and you end up with a city to be reckoned with. One of those names is M5K, a young Melbourne based producer who's been creating a buzz the past year by releasing on the established Melbourne Deepcast label and doing a string of DJ gigs in and around the city. And now we have the priviledge to release his very first full length EP. And it's an absolute belter of a project. The EP opens up with 'SKY ROAD', a fast burner clocking in just under 7 minutes. The track is filled with heavy arpeggio synths, a thumping bassline and heavy drums. In other words, the perfect peak time tune that will do justice to any dancefloor. The B side however, starts out with the more laid back 'SPIRIT LEVELS' which is a track that can only be described as 'cinematic'. It's once again very synth heavy but the song creates such an atmosphere that it's hard to miss its nuances and subtleties. To top it all off, we have the honour of none other than UK based producers Deep Space Orchestra on the remix tip of 'SKY ROAD'. Flipping the original in such a creative way but still honing in to the feel of the M5K track, this remix can only be classified as an absolute thrill to listen to. It takes the groove of the original and extends it to an incredible build up, of which we are sure will enrichen every DJ set. More

6 months after we first ventured into vinyl territory we're back with a new EP. The follow up to Kastil's ''Dusty Edits'' is a sampler containing 4 tracks by 3 artists we are heavily supporting at the moment. The A1 is again by Basque county based 'Kastil'. She's back is a wonderful sample drenched house track containing soul touching vocals. Definitely one for the dancefloor. On the A2 we have ''Doctor Bills' by fellow Rotterdam native ''Ben La Desh'' this is actually his first release out of many to come. This track has been circulating the soundcloud for a few months and was played by OOFT! in one of his excellent podcasts. On the flip we find two tracks by Taiko Mochi name: ''Tomas Malo''. While the B1 ''Scenesters'' is a great more uptempo disco house track with quite an emotive break it's the B2 slomo track ''Shelter'' that has been stealing the show until now. If you're in to real slow and mesmerizing music this might just be the one for you. More
