Sales Note
As part of Lossless Music's 10 year celebrations Soul Intent enlisted the skills of some of the scenes brightest stars and tasked them with remixing their favourite track from his debut long player 'Delusions Of Grandeur' released back in 2017.

Soul Intent is also on remix duties himself, with a special VIP mix of 'Nearly There' featuring the divine vocals of jazz singer Sula Mae. More

"As a child of the 80s a highlight of Saturday morning TV was an episode of Transformers. My first attempts at sampling and music production was sampling the 1986 movie on my Amiga 500. Then last year during lockdown I decided to dig out the samples and have another bash and ended up with two tracks which I thought were pretty cool... and here we are!"

This highly prolific UK Drum and Bass producer returns with his second Tempo Records release. This work sees Alex' Judd rhythmic tweaks and overlays of texture with intricate melodies, heavy dub basslines giving the tracks a live & energetic feel. He draws out each track with his own distinctive craftsmanship and still giving them space to breathe. "U Got me" might be his best work to date but that's just our opinion. "No Hype" on the flip side says it all; music shouldn't be a hype but this release surely creates a huge buzz with all the dj's worldwide. ''Give Me A Dub'' on the full A side is all about heavy Amen drums and phat basslines, one for the late night hours (or early mornings). ''The Dread'' uses smooth drums and slick heavy subbass-lines, it's a hazy, dreamy track but dark & menacing at the same time, a wicked tech roller that echoes deepness reminiscing of that golden Jungle era. ''Heaven ft.E'' is all about melancholy with it's ''crying'' emotional deep male ''Heaven'' vocal, together with E's live saxaphone contribution and cleverly chopped-up Apache drum programming, this track reminds us of those special Bluenote/Speed days back in 1995-1996. Jason Leder, otherwise known as Method One has been a mainstay of the American Drum & Bass scene for a very long time. Originally hailing from the east coast his earliest claim to fame was remixing DEEE-LITE - "Call Me" in 1994 for Elektra records after Lady Miss Kier heard his cassette demo. Eventually he headed out west to San Francisco where he has remained for over 20 years.
The Stomping Grounds EP is Jason's tribute to the music that originally inspired him. Two harder tracks that echo Tango & Ratty era Formation Records and two deep & melodic atmospheric tracks that nod towards golden era Good Looking. A Method One release is a rare treat and is his first solo release since 2015's "Blackwood" EP on Auxiliary Transmissions.
