She Lies are a disco post-punk band from Berlin. They used to live together in an appartment sharing their musical ideas and Inspiration before starting to record their no wave inspired songs. Anni one of the two charismatic girls is on vocals and guitar, while ele, her childhood friend, is on Synths and Samplers together with Michel and Daniel who are also part of the band Rework. Their rythms are deeply maniac, proceeding into synth driven krautwave monsters, adjusted with catchy girl vocals and guitar noise. She Lies first release "Needed you" comes out with an amazing remix of Needed You on the B Side by Andrew Weatherall and Timothy J Fairplay under THE ASPHODELLS, they turned the original into an uptempo and hypnotic track.

Here we are with the second timothy J Fairplay EP, after some recent good releases on Bird Scarer, HTOPH, Andrew Weatherall's music partner come back with 2 songs into that Slow mo Techno atmosphere. Really exited about this one, ANA HELDER from Argentina (Comené) delivered here an nice and freaky oldschool mid tempo track, so nice.The first remix is by ASTRO LAB'S home cat TIMOTHY J FAIRPLAY, something between Carpenter and Andrew Weatherall.Then on the B side IVAN SMAGGHE' S remix is just amazing with some old synth and techno atmosphere. Last one is FRANK WEST, our second collaboration, he turns the song into a solid booty dub song.

New cat on the Astro Lab camp, Timothy J Fairplay from the Battant band, after good releases on kill The Dj, Andrew Weatherall's Rotters Golf Club, Live At Robert Johnson Tim gave us couple of great tracks with his best Carpenter mood, it was so hard to choose, we took 3 of them and asked our favourite producer Mr Andrew Weatherall to remix one, he turn the "Sleigh Ride/blizzard into this slow techno atmosphere. On the B side Astro Lab ZNTN remixed "General Arrived" and turned the original into an amazing dancefloor tune, something close to the Optimo's works.
