Michael The Lion and Natasha Kitty Katt began collaborating as Natasha found a second home in Philadelphia. The two have a mutual love of classic disco and found a kindred spirit in Suki Soul, who has been tearing up the scene the last few years in Northern England. I Found Peace features Michael on guitar and Natahsha on drum machines and synths alongside Michael’s long-time studio band mates. Classical composer and legendary Pittsburgh hip hop producer Jules Krishnamurti adds bass guitar and University of Pennsylvnia jazz ensemble leader Dan Paul plays keyboards on this incredible modern disco classic. Pontchartrain brings all the right touches to the club mix, along side some heavy house mixes by Tonarunur (aka B.G. Baarregaard) to round out the first Whiskey Disco release in several years. More

Texan, The Silver Rider takes time away from farm-life to drop two heart-tender disco missives, while splitting the slab with Londoner, Bustin' Loose, who makes his Whiskey Disco debut.

Kicking things off on the a-side is The Silver Rider with 'Roundhouse,' a reworking of a stone-cold classic that injects club ready beats and high energy vibes into some very recognizable sample sources. Next up, TSR keeps the energy, but adds a sunkissed breeze to the mix with 'You're The One,' a super smooth and groovy number perfect for top-down cruising or pool side jamming.

Flip it over for a powerful pair of cuts from Bustin' Loose... the founder of London's, The Disco Express party series and a burgeoning producer with previous releases on Toy Tonics and Roux Records. 'These Ol' Days' gets us started with proper warm up tackle as a silky, filtered loop evolves and opens atop funky guitar loops and sultry vocals. Move the needle to the inside cut and we take the energy up a notch with 'Home Way Phase,' who's galloping percussion creates an urgency for shimmering strings and horn stabs to perfectly punctuate... Whiskey Disco returns with another brilliant EP by Australian producer Kayroy, known for creating new intersections between edits, reworks, and originals that the label is known for.

A driving, tension-heavy original A-side reminiscent of early Sound Stream, complimented by two wonderfully selected reworks - a smartly tightened up beautiful instrumental gem originally by Japanese guitarist & composer, Shigeru Suzuki, and an almost necessary revision of euro-disco genius Alec Costandinos’s opus "Romeo & Juliet".

The mysterious Kayroy returns to Whiskey Disco for his second EP of 2019. Fans of his first EP will find more of the same, a raw, pastiche of samples glued together into a package of hands-up disco fire.
'Rosella' rolls along with a natural tendency to groove underpinned by trippy effects and classic piano and vocal riffs. 'You’re the Reason Why', lowers the tempo and amps up the vibes.
The B-Side is a sped-up departure from previous Kayroy fare, but sounds just as natural. 'Silk & Satin' seems like the type of track one might hear in nearly any Harvey set, while 'One Night in Prague' raised the tempo and will have your pulse racing with its relentless bass.

4 Kicks ep is to the brim with 4 late-90s vibe, feel good disco treats a la Studio 45 meets Knee Deep. On the A side 'Champ 1' let's loose with those summery feel good guitar riffs and soulful vocals before 'In Love' transports you to Tokyo for a dreamy synth laden, love song boogie.
Flip it and you're hit with an uptempo groover, fizzing with an unbridled energy, squelchy synths and feisty licks under the name 'Goodbye Ketan'. Closing the e.p. out 'That Same Old Feeling' is an endlessly building, looped up pot of disco grooves and stirring vocals.

On the A side ‘He Wonders’ is a squelching synthy, guitar laden gem, extended and reworked for full cosmic galacticness. ‘A Mighty Joy’ follows up with a slice of gospel disco gold, expertly tweaked to enrich your soul with spiritual goodness.
On the B side ‘Can’t Stop Christy’ is laced with a good helping of slap bass and trumpet flurries alongside the elusive Christy trading licks with that hazy distorted guitar. Closing out the e.p. ‘Take You There’ channels the glory days of disco into a six-and-half-minute reglammed opus.
