Once again the Leeds born, London based producer dazzles with his abstract take on house, garage and everything inbetween. Deep in stuttering samples, pirate bass tones and snapping 808's the talented young producer futher develops his colourful style and fuzz laden sounds pallete. Eliphino never fails to amaze. Always floor friendly, original and boundary pushing.

Meda Fury welcomes Tom Wrankmore aka Eliphino to the imprint for a stunning EP of thunderous breaks, 303’s and serious sub-bass pressure. Hailing originally from the Leeds, but with wider travels to settle down in both London and Berlin, Wrankmore’s music embraces hip-hop, rave, and UK garage. He now serves up
a pungent confection pitched between the Hessle Audio crew, Joy O and Demdike Stare’s most recent efforts. Having released heaters for Brownswood and Hoya Hoya over the years, Eliphino now debuts as part of the Meda Fury family with the Realistic Sex EP. Wrankmore has been locked away in his studio for the last 1.5 years, abstaining from gigging and releasing records to knuckle down and produce, emerging with a new darker edge and a much more hardcore sound. Tom explains: “The theme of the EP is trusting your intuition in an information flooded world. I’ve collaborated with visual artists Tom Pounder & Jon Harris who have created two videos for the release, one for Disc Rhythm and one for Realistic Sex." Meda Fury boss Nick Williams; “Tom's new music epitomises to me what modern club tracks should sound like - wild, energetic, deadly. He’s discovered his own dark new world of sound fusing breakbeat, acid, speed garage and even industrial stylings” More

Following on from the success of Artifacts ?The Way It Do/We Trapped?, the somethinksounds cartel rolls on picking up even more steam this time calling on the untapped talents of Lokiboi who serve up the insatiable ?Late Reaction EP? which features a collaboration with Love Fever darling Citizen. Having appeared previously on Kolour Recordings as Klic (aka Medlar) & Lokiboi, this is his first solo appearance and his first
opportunity to demonstrate his unbelievable studio skills. Up first ?Late Reaction? rattles into our consciousness; constantly shifting this one never
lets up for moment and expert drum programming techniques ensure it has total control over the listeners emotions throughout. Intensity levels drop for the intro of ?Help Yourself? as slower kick drums pulsate and shuffling percussion rolls along as though it is being heard from the room next door. Atmospheric pads path the way for incredible smooth garage beats to roll along with snapping snares and chopped vocals giving the track direction. ?Love Saves The Day? invites man of the moment Citizen to get in on the action instantly bringing his brand of reverbed, garage-house soundscapes which is much complemented by the percussive arrangements of Lokiboi. Excellent vocals and soaring pads take the
whole thing to a match made in dancefloor paradise. Rounding off this superb release we have ?Keep On Loving Me Dry? which builds and
builds to a dramatic climax before descending into possibly the biggest breakdown on the EP. All Killers, No Fillers. More

As the London & Berlin based somethinksounds imprint approaches a tenth release since its inception in 2010 we've learnt that although you can never be too sure of what they are going to serve up next, you can be sure its going to be of the highest quality. Whether it be unearthing exquisitely produced IDM by Lucky Paul, future house sounds from rising stars such as Eliphino and Ossie (Black Orange Juice) or straight up club bangers by some of the biggest hitters in the game (Gadi Mizrahi of Wolf + Lamb); this time they deliver what could be one of the most infectious vocal drops of 2012 on Artifact'¼s sensational double A-side The Way It Do/We Trapped. For the tenth release somethinksounds step back into a ring where they certainly feel very comfortable and present an artist tipped by many a tastemaker including Clash and also Resident Advisor (in a 'Breaking Through' article earlier this year) to be making big waves soon. With releases on Local Action and Rebirth, Bristol boy Artifact has certainly been making a big noise with his futuristic fusion of house, techno and garage. Put simply The Way It Do is a bold statement of intent. Aimed directly at the centre of the dance floor this one oozes with production finesse far beyond the young producer's years. Skipping tams and snapping snares ride alongside haunting synth melodies whilst the percussion section layers intricately amidst a world of abstract sounds. The tension continues to build until it culminates in a monster vocal drop sure to have people going nuts on the dance floor. Clubbers, you have been warned. It's a double A-side for a reason and therefore the intensity does not let up on the flip with We Trapped providing yet another peak time monster filled with yet more expertly layered, extra terrestrial percussive elements. A tuned rim shot drives the track along throughout but its another very well selected vocal sample which provides the main hook. Hotly tipped Manchester native Damu steps up for remix duties with an interpretation of The Way It Do, delivering an indefinable cut filled with pure analog intensity. Skittering percussion melded flawlessly with bubbling bass lines and otherworldly synth melodies equates to a captivating listen.

Born in Canada, now residing in Leeds, 21 year old producer Nathan Micay - Bwana is the latest artist to join the Somethinksounds roster. With zero production experience, Bwana only started making tunes at the start of 2011. Fast forward 18 months and he has already signed tracks to Canadian label Infinite Machines (Over and Done EP), to Mad Decent imprint The Jeffrees (Can't you Just/This is Real) and featured upon the playlists of tastemakers Mary Anne Hobbs, Rob Da Bank and Rinse FM's Monki.

Black Orange Juice, - Back Of My Car
introducing Black Orange Juice for 2012 ... a cosmic crew of dance floor saviours. Nomads of the musical Galaxy who are crazy in love and love crazE. Brought together by Ossie of Hyperdub Records fame. His 'Tarantula' track was selected in the FACT Top 50 for 2011, not forgetting the awesome Joe Goddard 'Gabriel' remix for Greco Roman which took his sound to another level and which won him fans the world over... The all singing Black Orange Juice, found it's sweet spot when Ossie recruited two of his closest compadres, Paul Black and Orial, partners in crime with a history of gospel choirs, R&B quartets and lending their vocals to some of London's finest underground hero's...They blend the best elements from the UK Undergound with a nod to the talents of Roska, Jamie Jones, Scratcha DVA and Mosca, and a wave to those infectious vocal-house sounds reminiscent of Hercules and Love Affair and Azari & III. The sound is both unique and dangerously infectious...

Somethinksounds put their name on the map last year with Eliphino’s wildly successful debut release 'The Undivided Whole' EP. This year the label is back with their second 12inch, 'The Slow Ground' by newcomer, Lucky Paul. This release is part one of an impressive aural package and comes complete with three remixes, most notably a worldwide exclusive first from G$ vs Gold, Gadi Mizrahi of Wolf & Lamb and Eli Gold of Soul Clap, respectively.
