Florian Muller returns to Nowar with another brilliant deep and jazzy ep. Nowar stands for uncompromising quality deep house and Florian fits in just nicely. His ep starts with the title track ‘Just4Fun’, which in fact breathes fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously. The funky and highly infectious keys and the butt shaking groove will remind you of a track that Moodymann never made, but wishes he had. Next comes ‘Unlimited01’ with a joyful piano melody that would fit right into a French disco with a funkier version of Alain Delon behind the decks. Still, the Rhodes chords, the slow sexy groove, the vocal hooks will get you moving in no time. ‘Thang’ then goes into a more Detroit beatdown direction with its deep chords and smooth pads. It creates a mellow atmosphere with an almost relaxed summer feeling. This is what a funky pimp would listen to on a night car drive. The ep ends with spiritual almost tribal rhythms. ‘Inspiration’ would be a nice soundtrack to a 70’s orgy orchestrated by a groovy Guru, surrounded by a magical circle of mystical dancers. Over the top? Sure, but the track would certainly get this party going… Check it out!
