Before The Show is a vital part of Copenhagen Collaboration - a 10- band-collective in Copenhagen Among the other bands are Sleep Party People, CODY and Alcoholic Faith Mission. As the title suggests the new Before The Show album depicts beginnings and endings. We believe that life has many different beginnings and endings, and that the various journeys we take from one beginning to one end are filled with detours – and it is these detours which continually shape and define us as the people we are. Musically Years&Years&Years picks up where Hearts and Heads left off, however, it has developed towards a bigger and more complex sound image. It can best be described as a combination of Sting and Peter Gabriel on one hand, and Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead on the other. A lot has happened since Before the Show released their debut record in the spring of 2010. Hearts and Heads put the band in rotation on the Danish national radio P3, and landed them a concert at the 2010 Spot Festival in Aarhus, a national tour, as well as gigs in Germany, Austria and Switzerland In March 2012 the band signed with Copenhagen label PonyRec (Alcoholic Faith Mission, Green Pitch and many more) and once again played the SPOT-festival as well as performing on the Arena stage at the Roskilde Festival with band collective CopCol (Copenhagen Collaboration). 2012 has turned out to be an important year for Before the Show.

Since then, the band has released another renowned album, "Let This Be The Last Night we Care", an EP - and now they're ready with their 4th full-length album; "Ask Me This".
ALCOHOLIC FAITH MISSION left Copenhagen in 2009 and started their extensive touring schedule and they haven't really slowed down. In just 2 years the band has played approximately 150 shows outside Denmark, including some of the biggest and best Festivals in Europe and North America; SxSW, Canadian Music Week, Iceland Airwaves, CMJ, Roskilde Festival, Peace & Love, Positivus - to name a few.
"Ask Me This" is the natural next step in ALCOHOLIC FAITH MISSION's evolvement as a band; taking them in a new direction, but it's still very easy to hear this is an ALCOHOLIC FAITH MISSION record. Together with co-producer Tom McFall (R.E.M., Weezer, Stars) they experimented with new sounds, structures and melodies - and now they are very proud to present the result: the best album by ALCOHOLIC FAITH MISSION to date. ALCOHOLIC FAITH MISSION will continue touring as much as possible in 2012 in support of the album, covering Europe and USA/Canada - and hopefully they'll get to play lots of festivals in the sun. Alcoholic Faith Mission, the paradoxically named Danish quintet who flew their second album, 421 Wythe Avenue into worldwide music-blogger praise and record label love
in three continents, are looking forward to the spring release of their third album, Let This Be the Last Night We Care. The PonyRec protégés hit stride in 2009 with critical acclaim from the international music press and more adoration from bloggers around the planet. Not only did they make many of the Best of 2009 lists, they’ve got four songs on the soundtrack of
a Canadian independent film called, Point Traverse, and were just asked to play a variety of gigs and festivals in the US. With the ink drying on a two-album deal for a Tokyo label Quince Records, and the upcoming PonyRec/Paper Garden Records release of 421 Wythe Avenue in the States, one could say things look promising for these pleasingly discordant Danes. “On the other hand,” says Thorben Seiero, the band’s front man and co-founder, “with the success of 421, this album’s got a hell of a lot to live up to.”

Crackling Danish melancholy. Made in Brooklyn, New York.
A loft near Williamsburg Bridge
Dictionaries beat each other; the sound pushes out to the microphone, takes a right turn in to a laptop and becomes an electronically muted bass drum. Speakers against a crooked wall give evidence: The unpredictable duo, Alcoholic Faith Mission, apprentices of dejection, try on a selection of straightjackets for the inspiration that bounces around orthodox Brooklyn to become their second album. Everything used to make the music, must be found within the room. The room and the mission. The critics said sweet things about their debut album ('Misery loves company', 2006), recorded in a bedroom in Copenhagen and fueled by its own sense of desperation, lovingly nurtured by three important dogmas: alcohol, darkness and
candlelight. Now, three years later, the duo went into seclusion in a converted factory loft, they return to manifest a re-organization of the dogma inspired by a neon sign screaming Apostolic Faith Mission two years earlier. The raw, winter-y Brooklyn-streets served as the perfect frame for breeze-shooting, brushing on alcoholism, on close family member's wet
deroute; the neon sign had purpose. The pending album – 421 Wythe Avenue – has, with the latter stay in Brooklyn, left the duo with a more electronically distorted sound.
A sound much inspired by Brooklyn, but also by the alternative Canadian rock scene, and names such as Broken Social Scene, Arcade Fire, The Most Serene Republic etc.

The sound of longing. Long shadows and cool winter wind in Gartnergade, Copenhagen. Sunbleached campus, sealions and the pacific ocean in La Jolla Green Pitch’s new album is the unlikely musical meeting between Copenhagen and Southern California. Between everyday life, dreams and hope. The title is ”La Jolla”. It is an unusually beautiful, inventive and inspired album.
Listen to it, and let it unfold in its magnificent, kalejdoscopic, slowmotion beauty. La Jolla is recorded by Ste Rasch who has captured his and his wife Rex Garfields soulful playing in the apartments in Gartnergade, Copenhagen and California with much care. The finished recordings were sent to Cambridge Massachusett, where the master of production Paul Q. Kolderie (Radiohead, The Cure, Pixies) cooperating with the musician Chris Brokoaw (Codein, Thurston Moore, The New Year) mixed them in the most beautiful way.
Besides Rex and Ste there is a number of musical friends appearing on the album. The sound is more electric and more experiemental compared to what Green Pitch has presented before. The instrumentation is rich and varied, and the music is hard to pin down. Green Pitch got an international career after the debut album ”Ace of Hearts” was released
on the small label Good guy’s recording company in April 2005. In 2007 the album was released in the Us by Funzalo Record and in England and the rest of the world by Rykodisc. It received amazing reviews all over the world and PonyRec is extremely happy to present the new album “La Jolla”.

How do you call music that switches effortlessly between Manchester guitar sound and smooth club tracks without losing its flow for one second? Which takes its time and
yet is absolutely present at any moment? It’s a tightrope walk – but on their second album „Itinerary“ Jersey manage to pull it off with each track. The seeming antagonism of a certain airiness on the one hand and complex arrangements on the other as well as that between density and transparency is abolished within the blink of an eye. And yet, to characterize the
sound of the five piece from Berlin as demanding or daring would totally miss the point. Rather, the music of Jersey sounds warm, calm and at times has traces of melancholia. Despite all sophistication, with which the band incorporates sub basses, subliminal computer noises and other elements of club music, Jersey remain essentially a guitar band. This band has no reservations against any musical style – be it electronica or post rock. At times, this music reminds one of that straight and unpretentious guitar music from the nineties, which answered indie rock opulence with strictness and sparseness. But moments like that do not last long – Jersey are not in favour of hypnotic loops trailing of into infinity. Their music rather proves that the band has a certain talent for songwriting – but without ever being fenced in by traditional, „classic“ forms. One example of this is that the singing voice
introduces itself very late in a song, almost as if it were another instrument. The warm voice of singer Noel blends in with the over-all sound of the band almost unobtrusively. One is tempted to call it „instrumental music with singing“. Jersey are masters of the grooving mid tempo. And with Norman Nietzsche, they had without a doubt a dab hand at the mixing desk.
A prime example for the band’s songwriting qualities is the wonderful “Talking To Myself“, a pop song, which spells its magic from the first second. On the other hand, the comparatively darker track „Shoeshine“ or „Darkline“ with its gloomy melancholia are songs with totally unique qualities. Another unforgettable moment of this album is the appearance of bassist Marion Gerth as lead vocalist on „Noir A.M.“. Jersey are Marion Gerth (ex-Fred is Dead), Andreas Haberl (the Notwist, Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra), Max Punktezahl (the Notwist, contriva), Noel Rademacher (Noël) and Florian Zimmer (Saroos, iso68).
With “Itinerary”, this band has managed to distil the most diverse tracks and songs into a harmonic album.

With her abstract beats, unique voice and hypnotizing lyrics, the female singer, musician and producer Tone is renowned for her at forceful, and the same time, frail expression through
experimental compositions within the electronicagenre. On her debut album, “Small Arm of Sea”, she shows her great versatility ranging from uplifting vigorous outlets of energy to obscure, melancholic moods. Musically, Tone creates a remarkable audiovisual realm where her light and almost spellbinding voice adds to a bedrock of crunchy break beats, abstract compositional structures and catchy melodies. Not being a typical songwriter in terms of clinging to the usage of the traditional structure of verses and choruses, Tone relies on
improvisation and creative exploration in the creation of her unpredictable musical landscapes - while adding daunting, yet compelling lyrics - and thereby drawing listeners into her musical and atmospheric universe of thoughts, sounds and a myriad of emotional expressions.

With a load of excellent reviews from the Danish release of their debutalbum ”You’re In The Painting You Saw”, Lily Electric is now ready to bring the album to their audience in Germany and the rest of Europe. Lily Electric, living in Berlin, has toured extensively over the last 2 years and has therefore already placed themselves in a position most bands would wish they could brag about. The Danish band don´t need to brag, it seems to be a natural consequence of their hard work and their big talents. Lily Electrics debutalbum ”You’re In The Painting
You Saw”, is out after two years of intense touring. Lily Electric is known as being a wellplaying liveband, and combined with a big songwriting talent, it has already taken them to
famous festivals around the world. In their short lifetime of only 3 years, they´ve played the South by Southwest festival in Austin (USA), Taubertal Festival (Germany), SPOT Festival (DK) played in New York, London, Riga, besides touring Latvia, and Germany and Denmark intensively. Lily Electrics reputation as an amazing liveband will now be followed by a recording career. Their debutalbum,”You’re In The Painting You Saw”, being the first in a definitely longer row of great releases, concerts and experiences. The debutalbum is recorded in Berlin, at the old DDR-radio station in Lichtenberg. ”You’re In The Painting You Saw” was produced by the young Danish producer Mikkel Holtoug together with Lily Electric and mixed by Dimitri Tikovoi (John Cale, Placebo, The Horrors).
